  1. Once I log into the launcher and click on my name it only has the options of My account and support. All the articles I can find say there should be a settings option in here as well where I can opt into the PTS. Anyone else seen this? Thanks.
  2. For all you people that say Bioware is just copying Wow every time they talk about adding something I want to invite you to read this manuscript from a new car manufacturer meeting that I'm pretty sure you guys are in charge of. "So you guys ready to make a New Car!?" "Yup but oh we need to make it different from any other car out there so uhm no radio, cause other cars have radios and that would be stealing. Oh and no windshield or windshield wipers cause every car has those, people must be sick of them. Oh almost forgot, no wheels those have been cloned by car manufacturers time and time again. and lastly of course we need a new motor, maybe we can figure out a way to harness magic fairies to run it....or tiny powerful horses with a hamster wheel." "Alright guys you heard him, go make a car with no wheels, no windows or radio or motor. Good luck I expect the plans to be on my desk on Monday!".
  3. Well I didn't play FFXIV because I was so upset about Final Fantasy XIII being linear and blah. and to the other guy I didn't say all the worlds look the same...they are all different, what I said was that all the land in a world looks the same. You have 4 map areas in a world of exactly the same, and caves pretty much look the exact same regardless of the world. For example once you the overall awesome feel of the graphics of a world wear off name one world that one natural mountain or river or building or anything that stands out in your mind as epic.
  4. I ask this because my feelings on the overall graphics(and by that I mean the overall appearance of the world)have gone from awesome to blah. I have played through most all of the world content and my feelings are even though the graphics themselves are much better then a lot of other MMO's and def Wow there is no depth to them. What I mean is all of Tatoonie or Hoth or Voss or every world is the exact same looking. Even between worlds almost every command center looks the exact same, every cave looks exactly the same, every ship etc etc. It's like they spent so much time making the graphics high end that they made everything cookie cutter. High end graphics are nice but looking at the same set of trees and plains and Rocks everywhere I go on a world gets old. So for me 2 weeks into playing I would have given overall world appearance a 9.5....now I would say probably 7.5.
  5. I fully support a Flashpoint Finder. Quite honestly right now unless you are looking to do endgame hardmodes there is a very low chance of finding a pickup group and even lower if your not on peak time for your server. Also right now if you want to do a Flashpoint you pretty much have to sit on your Fleet spamming general chat which is neither social nor fun, you can't even be doing normal quests while you wait. Also I have a question for people that say that LFG kills a game and makes it unsocial...How is it any different then a PVP warzone tool? By your reasoning we should make people come up with a full group over general chat before they can queue. No difference between the two except noone would do PVP without the tool cause it would take too long and be a pain and the same is becoming true for Flashpoints.
  6. I don't think an app is good for the game but that is my opinion. The rest of my post was in response to someone saying that the app doesn't allow prices to be locked. And it does. Maybe not for the seller you can still sell for whatever you want but it allows people to dictate what things are bought for by controlling their nitch of the market. Yes I agree it could be done without an app but the app makes it much easier which I do not agree adds to value of the game. And although prices probably would have gone up I do not agree that they would have gone up that much without the market being pushed their by me or whoever else. The way that this game and marketplace will go is very different from any other game I have played because prices are already kind of price locked based on mission drop rates and how much it costs to run those missions. Most materials are not farmed in the normal MMO sense. I have a much bigger problem with running crew skills through an app then the market because they are already farmable without doing anything other then sending people out on a mission. And with credits so easy to get you can do 30 min worth of space missions and have enough credits to send your people on crew missions 24 hours a day with a app. I do not like materials becoming that flooded.
  7. Blacksmith was worthless in Wow up until they added the blacksmith only things. Thing about SWTOR is upgrading to new gear is pretty much pointless so armortech is pretty much pointless(at least for leveling). All you need to do is find one piece of orange gear you think looks cool or can live with and then buy new mods with either commendations or on the marketplace(mods are not very expensive). Since Armortech doesn't give you recipes for any type of mods it is pretty much useless in my view. Armstech, cybertech, and Artifice all give you ability to create mods which really is what gear in this game is based around. What SWTOR needs to do is give synthweaving and armortech and prolly armstech as well a special slot that they only they can use with a low but still worthwhile mod. That is what would make it not worthless. Just my opinion though.
  8. Oh yeah for sure, I was just wondering if I was on a cold streak or something changed:)
  9. price fixing is not impossible. If you have a app someone with a job that allows phone access or what not can go on every 20 or 30 minutes and buy up everything that is priced under what they want to sell it for and re-list it for whatever they want to price lock it at. I did this on Wow with frostweave bags after the Cata launch and made well over 100k gold. I would buy up all the cloth whenever it hit marketplace then set the price I wanted for the bags. If someone tried to barely undercut me I would just put more bags up just undercutting them so their never sold and they gave up. If someone put it up for a lot less then what I was selling them for I would just buy them and relist at my desired price. It is almost impossible without a app cause you have to be logged on and at the marketplace at least once a hour. But with a app it is quite doable if you have a job that gives allows you access to your phone. I do not like the idea especially for crew skills. If you aren't logged in you shouldn't get access to the game. This was impact it had on prices on my server. Before I started avg price of cloth was .75 to 1.5gold and bags went for about 600 to 1k gold. Within 2 weeks I had cloth prices raised to a avg of 2.5 to 3.0gold(I bought anything under that) and bag prices were just over 2k a bag. So the use of that app and my will made prices go up by 2 to 3 times.
  10. I was getting a promethium crit on my bont or rich missions maybe 1 out of 5 or 6 or so up till about a week ago. In the last 5 days I have ran probably 15 to 20 missions without a single drop of promethium or mandalorian iron. Anyone else notice a drop in missions success rate for these?
  11. You probably can but that doesn't mean it's anywhere close to the best thing to do. Once you hit 40 as a guardian dps you almost have to use either your healer or your melee tank...Melee tank makes things quicker but your healer is by far the best for making it out of your class boss fights alive...Kira became amazingly hard for me to use at all once I moved from tank spec to dps spec.
  12. Thats odd cause i seem to recall wow going from 5m roughly to 10m roughly about the time they added a dungeon finder. Yup thats the def of crippled.
