Nice work! I wish Togruta where playable

Can we please get a view distance slider in the advanced graphics settings was really surprised that the game doesn't have one already would help with fps a ton . I am also aware that you can manualy edit the game files to change the draw distance but i don't like messing around with the game files and it really should be a graphic setting you can alter in game

Im not sure i would agree with this i was running a radeon hd 6870 with 6gig of ram and an e8400 3ghz cpu i could only run the game on low settings and even then i got lag bearing in mind this was a pc that would run the likes of skyrim on high with no worries . I switched my cpu to a quad core and the improvement was massive i can now run play on high settings worries . This game seems to be very cpu intensive

If you are going to upgrade your graphics card i would definitely upgrade that cpu aswell any new graphics card you get is going to be held back by that cpu

I upgraded my graphics card and ram recently and figured while my 3ghz dual core CPU ain't what it used to be I should be able to play swtor fine as I am able to play games such as sky rim on high with decent fps. Turns out I was pretty wrong I am playing with my graphics set to low and getting lag game seems like quite the CPU destroyer I can almost hear mine scream in pain when I fire up swtor

Swtor is having the opposite effect on me I found myself considering subing rift and that's not a ride you want to go on twice.....

I don't see anyone comparing tor to wow or even talking about tor at all on the wow forums or in game . But every time I log in on tor there is some ************ about wow and half the threads on the forum are about it . Reminds me of pretty much every recent mmo I have played general chat full of kids trying to justify there purchase by talking down wow . I think the day a new mmo comes out and no one in game is talking about wow and there are no forum posts on wow I will have found a game worth subbing to

Yea because my new PC that runs every other modern title on high with no problems is struggling on a game like this with terribly dated graphics . But hey its clearly my fault not the fact that this was a terribly optimized game

And yet tor is still coming out with quests from 6 years ago

Neither is wow but sometimes you need to break the mood from endless bad guy trying to kill everyone bs , and you know actually give the game some charm .Usually bioware games are good at this but swtor feels devoid of any sort of character.I mean it's basic story telling which everybody tells me is what this game is about yet I feel nothing .

I have yet to experience any of this so called amazing story. Some guy telling me his life story before sending me off to kill 15 bad guys hardly engages me especially when I have started to see my character say exactly the same replies .Questing in this game is some of the worst I have experienced in any game fetch quests and kill x number mobs is an archaic design and has no place in an mmo coming out in 2011.The questing in wow is so far ahead of this game it's not funny and they even have some humor! Which is completely lacking in this game

It's fun from level 1: around level 10 is when i started to get bored doing fetch quests and kill x amount of mob quests is not fun .The quest design is archaic and it astounds me that a MMO released in 2011 is still using crap like this PvP: Its average at best typical MMO fare also having no brackets is a terrible idea PvE: Boring boss fights , bland dungeons nothing remotely fresh or interesting about it End-game in general: what end game?

You could just as easily say there are some people who blindly love swtor and dismiss the many flaws and criticisms because they are afraid the game will fail and in a few months the servers will be empty. MMO's are a large time investment so people like to make sure they are making the right decision which is why on one side you see alot of people saying that the game is the worst thing ever and then you have the other guys saying how its the greatest thing ever and perfect in every way. Its just people trying to convince themselves that they have made the right decision.

Some guy telling me his life story before giving my a quest to kill X number of bad guys doesn't make the game any less grindy to me

I am having a blast so far and will be playing for the immediate future. I would like to see more options of things to do at level cap though , wow has stuff like non combat pet collection and lots of different achieves to work on . But i am sure there is probably lots of cool things planned already

Had a check through the forums before i was going to log in i noticed this thread and thought knowing my luck this will happen to me. Sure enough try and play the game and get "There is currently no active subscription on this account" Right now i am finding it mildly amusing i mean day one i didn't expect to be able to play hassle free .If its still happening a few hours from now that's when i will start to get frustrated
