  1. If you were here at launch you would retract that statement. The state of the game at launch makes the current state of the game look like a polished diamond.
  2. Pretend I've been living under a rock. What is wrong with tank companions?
  3. Thats how it CURRENTLY works, for crying out loud.
  4. It proves that all of his characters have never trained any skills for their base class after level 10 apparently.
  5. Who said we were changing loot rules. What I just explained is EXACTLY how loot rules currently work.
  6. No, they are not rolling for their character IN THE STATE IT CURRENTLY IS IN, they are rolling for their character IN ITS FUTURE STATE, which is not acceptable. see above. I don't think you understand what we mean by CURRENT CHARACTER. -- Think about the loot rules surrounding dual-spec. Basically, if you enter the instance as ONE ROLE, or ONE CLASS, that is how you should roll for loot, all other state/specs/classes that your character COULD be are considered "offspec" rolls, and should take a back seat to anyone's "mainspec" rolls.
  7. A dps Vanguard and a dps Commando use the same secondary stats. A dps Juggernaut and a dps Marauder (no other kind) use the same secondary stats, but have different armor types. You see, what you are suggesting would be considered "ninjaing" because the secondary stats are different, but currently a dps Juggernaut might need on Marauder gear, because they use the same stats. This is all while having different armor types AND a different Advanced class. Do you see what I'm trying to say? I could keep explaining it with more examples, but the post would just turn into a giant wall of text. A Marauder would have no reason to need on tanking secondary stats. Now, a Marauder might need on a piece of DPS heavy armor with strength. I think my post just above explains it.
  8. The only time this would matter would be if the armor piece had no modification slots. And as far as i know, there are VERY few items that drop in Operations/Flashpoints that don't have modification slots that are actually upgrades for anyone. In other words, that marauder is just as likely to be competeing with the Juggernaut CURRENTLY as they would be in the future when AC changes are implemented, because it is not about the armor TYPE, but about the stats on that piece of armor's mods. There are plenty of armor _shells_ out there.
  9. You guys are still arguing about this? Its be like.....weeks. I still have no idea how having the ability to change your AC would affect ANYONE else's gameplay negatively. It won't. It will only affect you negatively if you have a massive pineapple stuck up somewhere where the sun don't shine. There is no one forcing you to change your AC. And if someone changed their AC, unless they told you you wouldn't know either.
  10. Which could also just be your perception. What I was saying is that there is no reason we can't both be right. It really depends on a lot of factors, including the server, time of day, faction, planet, and amount of participation in the conversation.
  11. Probably depends on the server, and the population of that server. And which faction you play. Lots of factors. Nothing saying your experience of general chat can't be different than mine. Most GC convo's end up degrading to flame wars in my experience.
  12. I have friends.....i think. But on a more serious note: I think that the main thing to take away from the original post is the general maturity of general chat throughout the conversation, regardless of the topic. I mean, they could have been talking about bacon, rakghouls, jedi, sith, chiss, or bounty hunters for all I care. The topic doesn't matter, the way that the conversation was conducted does. That is a rare thing.
  13. http://www.ncpgambling.org/i4a/pages/index.cfm?pageid=1 This might help.
  14. Basically the Phenom II x4 CPUs are the only AMD CPUs that have been made on-par with competition as far as performance in the last 5 years. If you want a CPU newer than a Phenom II x4, might as well go with an Intel i5.
  15. Still using an AMD Phenom II x4 BE here, and the game runs great. The newer AMD CPU's aren't that great, however.
  16. True--I was just pointing out the weakest link in his current setup. I would suggest getting SWTOR Unleashed--It will more than likely alleviate most of the FPS issues. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=529567
  17. Your biggest performance hit is most definitely your GPU. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Radeon+HD+7670 Above link, you can see how its benchmark lines up against other top GPU's, and it falls VERY short. Your best bet would be to lower your graphics settings to the lowest possible, or just buy a new GPU.
  18. I think that being able to PLAY as a rogue Assassin droid (HK-49) would be cool. But on a better note, Rodians would definitely be on my list.
  19. Oh, didn't realize that AC changing was only going to be available to a select few accounts. Otherwise, how would it not "benefit everyone" as you put it? Everyone will have access to it, so the only way it would not benefit everyone is if someone could not use it while others could. And, it is content. It may not be story content, or group content for that matter, but technically everything in the game falls under the category of "content".
  20. Regardless. More missions might be considered "Content", but others would just as easily want more "Content" along the lines of more Ops and FPs. Others might want more "Content" through more cosmetic choices. Others might want more "Content" through greater character progression options. Do you understand what I was saying now? Something YOU think should take priority is not automatically top priority for EVERYONE.
  21. And weird zig-zag lines all over their body. Actually, they look more and more like a sugar cookie with sprinkles every day! PLAYABLE CANDY PEOPLE RACE! DO IT!
  22. EVE doesn't really have a class system.... Better example would be Eden Eternal.
  23. Probably not. More than likely, the "Magenta Togruta's" are a result of a texture not loading properly due to an out-of-whack display driver or something. My Togruta's are not Magenta, they are Turquoise.
