  1. This is total and utter nonsense. When all you huttball lovers learn and accept that not everyone has the same taste as you. Just because we do not like Huttball does not mean that we suck at it, or that we refuse to learn how it works. Most of the people that hate Huttball are actually very successfull at it. The assumption that this warzone is some kind of reference to a player's skill or learning ability is ridiculous. I hate it because. 1. The color scheme is horrible and annoying. 2. The announcer is annoying. 3. If I want to enjoy some warzones I am forced to play it over and over and over just because I play empire. Faction population balance should be BWs concearn, not mine. 4. If you que solo and have a bad team, you are screwed. At least in alderaan and void I can stealth ahead and ninja objectives. 5. There are way too many ledges/pits/lvls. Some find this amazing, I find it annoying. 6. This just seems like BWs way to say "hey you guys have tons of cc/snares/knockbacks, we are gonna give you a wz where you can spam them all and succeed. Those are just a few reasons why I myself cannot stand Huttball. It is a personal preference. Stop it with the nonsense that if you don't like Huttball, it's because you suck.
  2. Point I was making is that there are thousands of people that are quite successfull at Hutball and still absolutely despise it. All I keep seeing anytime someone starts a thread complaining about this terrible warzone is "you just suck at hutball. l2p" Bad is Bad. and 50% of the player base cannot stand this ridiculous warzone
  3. Tanks in full tank gear are supposed to be hard to kill. That guy that was just going toe to toe with a boss in your Flashpoint is hard to kill? Shocking!
  4. There isn't a shred of reliable evidence to support your claim. You are saying the entire class needs to be nerfed while likely using examples of the best each spec as to offer bundled into one convenient godlike package for you.
  5. Tankasins (even in dps gear) have low-average dps and high survivability. DPS Sins have high dps and average survivability. For the love of all the MMO gods PLEASE stop getting them confused and screaming for nerfs on a class you clearly do not understand. And while I am at it, quit confusing warzone damage with dps. WZ dmg = TOTAL damage done. DPS= Damage-Per-Second. HUGE diference people.
  6. I wish more people would understand the diference between dps and total warzone dmg. Dmg output on the tankasins/shadows is considerably lower than it is on either of the two pure dps specs. The ONLY reason you tend to see high warzone dmg is because it is TOTAL dmg done. If you spam your aoe on a huge mob of players nonstop, you are going to do a ton of TOTAL dmg. Tank specs tend to have more durability and are on the floor longer than they are in the Res area. Therefore a tanks high TOTAL wz dmg is sinply a matter of longevity. It is NOT dps. DPS= Damage-Per-Second. Please stop with the argument that Tankasins have too much dps. Their dps is WAY lower than any classes pure dps is.
  7. I cannot stand Huttball. And I hate to break it to the masses, but I am good at it. On my Sin I am constantly positioning myself in mid to grab the ball the instant someone scores. As I am doing this, I am scanning the ramps and catwalks for someone to pass it to the instant I get it. If someone else has the ball on our team, I either Guard them and assist, or guard them and try to stealth ahead to be in position to recieve a pass. I score. Often. And I cannot stand it. We shall see what becomes of this issue in 1.2
  8. We all grew up watching a story develope from the perspective of the Republic/Rebellion. People want to know what makes the Empire tick. Faction imbalance will never change and suggesting that you MUST play republic in order to avoid a gigantic issue is a problem for BW to contend with. It's an old mantra.. The customer is always right
  9. The issue is that if I want to enjoy any warzones at all I have to play huttball 100 times a day vs a handfull off alderaan or voidstar. This isn't me QQing. This is a legitimate issue that is bothering THOUSANDS of paying customers. Since server balance is never going to be fixed because Empire will always draw a larger player base, the only solution is inter-server WZ ques that allow us to choose which ones we want to play

  11. Yes I know some of you love it with a passion. Yes I know some of you think it is the best thing to come along since sliced bread. I hate it. With a passion. I'm not even going to get into the reasons WHY I hate it. This topic has been debated to death already. What bothers me is that I am FORCED to play it. Yes I know. Move to republic and you will hardly have to play it. Yes I know. 1.2 should greatly minimize the amount of times it pops due to more faction vs faction as well as the new wz. I don't care. I absolutely despise this warzone and if post 1.2 I am still forced to play it in order to enjoy warzone play, or if I have to take a 15 min penalty even if I leave it immediatly.. I will be moving on. Not gonna pay a sub for a game that forces me to do something I do not enjoy at all.
  12. 1.2 will allow us to use our speeders in space ports and and orbital stations, as well as giving us an option to bypass certain stations and go directly to our ship. This will speed things up slightly, but does nothing to address the issue of having to do it redundantly in the 1st place.
  13. Amen. Without even a decent amount of xp to make it feel remotely worthwhile. And if you have slow load times (which many of us do) it just feels like a nightmare and a waste of an hour for nothing.
  14. Several times during each character's storyline, you have to travel back and forth between your ship, fleet, and Kaas. Even to the point of having to Travel from Kaas to fleet, only to talk to an npc that literraly has NOTHING to say, gives you hardly any xp, and just sends you back to your ship, and then from there back to kaas again. This isn't creative story telling. It is a total waste of time and it's annoying as hell.

  16. Bump. I hear people complain about this issue all the time. Yet for some odd reason, it hardly every gets discussed or mentioned.
  17. A few patches back we were releaved of one annoying quest in tatooine that couldnt be abandoned. The problem is the rest of them. After lvling up several alts, ive gotten good at being very selective with the quests I accept. Checking each one as I log it to see if its abandonable. If it isn't, I do not log anymore untill that particular quest is complete in case I out level the planet while completing the (often very long) unabandonable questline. This way I can move on w/o having grey quests in my log. If I am ready to leave the planet, I will not even log another quest unless I have done it before and I know its a short one. Otherwise you take the risk every single time you speak with an npc of getting stuck with a long questline that you either MUST COMPLETE, or you are doomed to have it take up your limited log space untill the end of time or you get around to wasting your time in the future coming back to complete it. Please Bioware take note: This entire scenerio can be avoided by: 1. Fixing the issue by making every quest aside from storyline abandonable. 2. Or a much easier (I assume) short term fix by changing the color of the quest icon above the npc's head. Make unabandonable quests a diferent shade or color. Or even change the icon itself slightly. I am not a programmer, but it seems to me that #2 would be very easy to do, and would save us all the huge headache these can be.
  18. *Sigh* Even if those numbers were correct... WZ damage does NOT equate to 1vs1 dps. There are several factors and reasons that aren't even worth posting, but just because you have a high total dmg on the chart at the end of a warzone DOES NOT mean you have high dps...
  19. I have a lvl 50 Sorc that I simply quit playing because it just seemed way to easy. I have never felt that way about my Sin
  20. Also once combat logs are established, you will see w/o any doubt that even wearing dps gear, Darkness will fall considerably shorter than deception and even moreso madness in dps. Total wz dmg does not equate to high 1vs1 dps
  21. It is only because they are spamming an aoe on large crowds that inflate wz dmg numbers. Please try to keep in mind that those assassins you see at the top of the dmg chart are likely deception or madness, not darkness (the tank spec)
  22. Tanks are SUPPOSED to be hard to kill. That same guy in your Flash Point that is going toe to toe with a boss that would literally 3-shot you to death is hard to kill in pvp? Shocking.
  23. 31/0/10 is the standard cookie cutter tank spec. People are using said spec in pvp using dps gear. There is no viable hybrid spec anymore. Many people are seeing deception, darkness, and madness assassins in pvp and assuming they all have access to all the same abilities. Please do not scream "nerf the class" w/o fully understanding which particular tree offers particular abilities. The Darkness tree has defensive abilities because it is a TANK BUILD. It will not be getting nerfed because by doing so you would be gimping PVE assassin tanks. solo killing a tank SHOULD BE hard. Solo killing a healer SHOULD BE hard. This has been the case in all mmos for a decade. Is it unfair in pvp? Maybe. But over nerfing tanks and healers just to satisfy pvpers would break the game. Period.
  24. Guess you will have to convince me why being able to identify healers early in the match is a bad idea.
