  1. No, this the common definition for games. Or do games get released without the chance to fail nowadays ? I doubt that. Well, maybe some barbie games :)

Umm the common definition of game is entertainment. Now your idea of entertainment could be getting kicked in balls repeatdly but i am sure that is not how everyone feels.

  2. Actually, it is. If it were only play it as a single player game, then I should not before forced to pay $15/month.

I should be forced to pay a $50 box fee as any single player game. Bug patches should be free. Pay $5-10 for DLC sized content. Pay $30 or so for an expansion.

You are not forced to pay the sub. In fact you are not forced to play the game at all. Please stop talking nonsense. You play the game because it is your choice just how participating in solo or group style of play is a choice.

  3. There's no point in playing an mmo if you're going to avoid the multiplayer content.

I really can't stand "solo" players. Heck, there are players in my guild that barely do anything with us, we're mostly there to facilitate their needs as solo players. I like them, at least they utilize the system properly instead of whining for a general everything nerf. Some of us still enjoy the mmo aspects of playing an mmo.

Is definition for MMO written in stone that a player has to play with you every time something needs to be done? just by being in an environment where he has to interact with other players even if it just means being a part of your guild or trading on GTN, he is participating and being part of the online community.

Quit shoving your idea of what MMO means down the throats of others.

  4. The nerf is a stupid idea.

You want a challenge? Put your companion on passive and be challenged, use one with a lower influence or play undergeared.

Don't ruin it for everyone just because you feel like the game got too easy for you. You could help yourself before, but now we're all paying because you're too lazy to click the passive button.

Majority of people who complained are mostly those who spend 8 to10 hours in front of PC everyday. For rest of us gaming is hobby and a fun time pass time. But the vocal minority as usual ruins for the majority.

  5. Buuut...if you'll still, according to Eric, be able to do everything you could already do....what is the point of nerfing them? Makes no sense.

And keep in mind, the forum going community, at least, voted overwhelmingly NOT to change the companions. Doesn't seem smart to make decisions that fly in the face of what your customers seem to want.

I have a question. Does BW usually listen to what player base has to say as long as it is not related to adding items to Cartel store?

  6. Sooo all day no server and my subscription timer is ticking and ticking... do you plan to give us subscribers some kind of compensation? It would be the right thing to do. :jawa_confused:

I am sure Bioware would be happy to transfer 50 cents into your account. That is how much money you lost today out of your enormous 15 bucks a month.

  7. Not arguing with your conclusion but Eric's statement does beg some questions...

-Yes but when? You could always solo an H2, even some of the then existing open world H4s, but as soon as you are level appropriate for it or do you have to gear a bit etc?

-Do Star Fortresses count or are they different? There is a solo mode of each after all.

In the end though there is also the hobgoblin of his "more challenging" statement. Implicit in a statement like this is that there will be some players who can and those who can't do it. Though tbh I have always personally wondered if it was a matter of "can't" or more a matter of "won't".

So much for reading all your nonsense for an entire day yesterday regarding how H2+ are intended to be done with another player when developers say the complete opposite.

  8. Reno was correct. The last server merges were in 2012-2013 I believe. That link talks about their plans to solve the queue times and how to address uneven populations (probably that "better than cross-server" plan they've discussed before).

What do you think the free transfers were for? so that people could consolidate themselves to their server of choice. Just a month before KOTFE there were requests for more server merges and this issue has been coming up a lot since 2014. You just have to google and see how many people were asking for another round of server merge.

It died out a bit with new content release, but how long is that gonna last?

  9. They haven't done a server merge in years. So "Server merges every few months" is false.

    In years?

I just renewed my sub with my 9 accounts cause of this. And all my friends and family are coming back also.

You forgot to add your neighbors and all your imaginary friends to list. My ******** detector is on overdrive this afternoon.

  10. Not to mention the insects with full PvE green gear running around like gizkas in WZs , just to get the droood companion.

Yeah with an attitude like that i wouldn't even want to team up with you even though i have never used a lvl 60 token. You sound like a real douche.

  11. No, they don't have their story completed nor are you able to go back and do it.

The instant 60's begin the game at the latest expansion - the class stories are history to them and something they cannot take part in.

Wrong. Read the description when you are about to to make level 60 character. It clearly says that your character would automatically complete all previous story content and expansions.

Does anyone read the text in games anymore?

  12. I always took it as them being desperate to get people to even come LOOK at their game, hence practically giving it away for free :p

Well i guess almost every game out there is desperate compared to SWTOR then considering they give lots of perks to their old customers. In my own personal experience more generous the f2p model is more players are willing to spend money on cash shop.

GW2 s perfect example. All of their revenue comes from cash shop. They even stopped charging for the client.
