  1. But I'm STILL gonna punch the person who made this chapter in the mouth IF I ever see em, (Which I strongly doubt!!!) (LOL)

Feh, why stop there? After dying repeatedly and being stuck there for several years to the point of dropping SWTOR completely for multiple years, in the near-impossible event I met one of the chapter designers, I would do FAR WORSE than punch them in the mouth.

  2. A few things like that still need to be converted over, really. Anything that's the end of a major quest, or especially a major quest line. the SoR and Rishi endgame stuff has solo modes since they're newer.

The most glaring one to still need adjusting to the 'new' format is Oricon, add Shroud's Last Stand right with it.

Without a solo mode on Fortress, the entirety of Oricon is a massive waste of time for some players, can get the creds from dailies in Black Hole, Section X, and on Makeb. Rishi and Yavin are newer, so have their 'end' things with a solo mode so that average players can see the content.

  3. hmm... not enough people on to really test, but with the servers back up, it seems that the stuttering only happens now whenever walking over some of the fancy new shadows (was on Alderaan with a Sith, in a spot with lots of trees), but there aren't really enough people on to test it properly yet. But yeah, kinda worried about no FX fix. Honestly, rolling it back shouldn't be /that/ hard. As much as I want it to get better for appearance, well...
  4. Hey folks,

Just wanted to let you know that tomorrow's maintenance should bring in a lot of fixes to some of the top issues seen with 1.4. We're aiming to fix the top-reported issues found here, but keep in mind that with any update, a variety of factors could influence successful implementation. This also doesn't represent a comprehensive list for tomorrow's patch, as we have more fixes going in, but this will give you an idea of the status for top-reported issues.

    Thank you for your patience!

I hope that the 'general performance issues' making it unplayable for people without SLI (since that was 'fixed' supposedly), are among the fixes. If the problem is so persistent, honestly, it'd be better to remove the new shadows entirely until a recode can take place.

I still have friends who can't play it because of stutter. :/

  5. ok hopefully you come back with an answer like: it will be fixed with next patch. thx for your effort though!

I wouldn't bet on it, given the response made. He's either figuring out the flowery wording of 'won't be fixed', or he's making sure everyone has their will in order for all the SW fanatics who bought the game, that live within striking range of them, when they say it. :p

  6. Isn't it a little bit senseless that I get the torpedo launcher with lvl 50? Because then I do not need the extra EP any longer, and it seems that there is no special reward for destroying the bridge or the communication array.

I just destroyed the array with a torpedo and in the other mission the bridge of the dreadnought, but so far all I get is my ONE(!!!) fleet insignia and a few credits. No bonus creds, no bonus items, no bonus insignias. So what is the deal with the torpedos? For me it looks like a waste of insignias. Or what do you guys think?

It must be because you're at level 50. For me, the missions are closer to my level (35 on main) so I get ~2500 xp and credits for it.

The comm array paid significantly more at the Llanic assault in the outer rim, probably because I just got that mission a couple levels ago.

  7. The bottom thing you guys are talking about can be taken out with 1 proton torpedo (buy this at level 50, and you use your accommodation from space missions to buy it).

... I'll remember that, if I ever get a char to lvl 50. :) Highest one is at 33 right now. :) Cool.

  8. The communications array(bottom spire) and the bridges of capital ships can both be destroyed. They take about 20 missiles. The rewards are 500xp for the kill and 2997xp for a (once daily) bonus mission.

Thanks for the info, now that I have an 80 missile magazine I might try it :D

  9. I think he meant the more powerful shields present. Like on the bottom spire on the Bolzar station.

Also, for your (second) objectives, how do you unlock them? I've done a few of them (Defense sattelites) every time and have seen no popup or anything.

Don't think the bottom spire is breachable. Wish it were. That and the bridge of the star destroyer on Makum Te.

Someone said they unlock with level, not sure what levels though... I got them on the first three, but that's with a lvl 30. Maybe they unlock when you get a new set of space misssions? Gonna check soon with my lvl 22 Guardian.

  10. Playing all LS options during Trooper storyline missions is hilarious on a lot of planets just for being able to annoy Garza so much. She's a 'hero' according to the site, but essentially rips into you for LS choices. Except on Tattooine. She praises how well you represented the Republic there, mostly because the thing she didn't want leaked was beyond her or your control to stop. Hehehe.

My trooper is at LS3 and counting. She's a good girl, and refuses to compromise it for military bs. Even if her pet Imp doesn't like it always.

  11. I was wondering if there was a comprehensive guide to space missions somewhere.

I'm not quite 'new', but found new optional objectives on Fondor, Javaal, and Balosar, just last night.

So it appears each space mission has two optional objectives to be unlocked.

    Fondor:

    Primary:

    Escort Shuttle to Safety

    Secondary:

    Destroy enemy Fighters (original)

    Destroy 20 Enemy Turrets (second)

    Javaal:

    Primary:

Destroy Mk VII Interceptors and Infiltrator ship

    Secondary:

    Destroy Fighters and Turrets (original)

Destroy 10 Shield Generators (Expose Fleet) (second)

    Balosar Outpost:

    Primary:

Destroy 12 turrets, 2 shield generators, 3 hangars, 3 antennas

    Secondary:

    Destroy 60 fighters (original)

Neutralize Defenses: Destroy 20 enemy frigate turrets, destroy all 4 defense satellites. (second)

BIG BONUS (once a day, 500 XP After):

Destroy comm array on bottom of station (not recommended without grade 3 missile mag and possibly power converter, takes ~20 missiles as per post later in thread)

    Achernar Assault:

    Primary: Destroy 60 fighters

    Secondary:

    Disable Star Destroyer (12 turrets)

    Destroy 100 fighters (bonus)

(possible 'disable the star destroyer' bonus, unconfirmed. Might not get enough time on target)

    Makum Te Assault:

    Primary:

Destroy 14 turrets and 4 shield generators on Star Destroyer

    Secondary:

    Destroy Fighters and Turrets (75)

    Destroy Enemy Shield Generators (5)

BIG BONUS (Once a day, 500 xp after):

Destroy Star Destroyer bridge. (Same recommendation as Balosar Comm Antenna)

    Llanic Station Assault:

Primary: Destroy 12 turrets, 2 shield generators, 4 upper antennas, 4 Hangars (on station)

    Secondary:

Clear Enemy Fighters (which have shields at this point, make sure they're popped!)

    BIG BONUS:

Same as Balosar. Lot harder to get with all the other things going on though. :)

Edit: Updated with new ones mentioned in thread.

Must say, with two optional objectives to hit, space combat becomes much more interesting and difficult. :)
