  1. I know what you mean xxStradxx, I have had matches where I do 50k+ dmg and have 3 kills, and other players have 18 kills and 18k dmg done When you ask ChatGPT "is there a way to identify when other players are using cheats or exploits in GSF" This is the answer: As an AI, I can provide some general information, but please note that I cannot provide real-time updates or specific information on current cheats or exploits. However, here are a few things you can keep in mind when trying to identify potential cheats or exploits in Star Wars: The Old Republic's Galactic Starfighter mode: Unusual Behavior: Look for players who consistently exhibit behaviors that seem impossible or highly improbable within the game's mechanics. For example, if a player consistently performs actions that exceed the limits of normal gameplay, it could be a sign of cheating. Unfair Advantage: Keep an eye out for players who consistently outperform others without any reasonable explanation. This could include players with extremely high accuracy, constant critical hits, or an unfair amount of damage output compared to other players. Movement and Positioning: Cheating players may exhibit unnatural movement patterns, such as teleporting across the map or instantly changing directions. Additionally, they may consistently position themselves in advantageous locations that are difficult to reach or counter. Instant Respawns or Cooldowns: If a player is able to instantly respawn after being defeated or has abilities with no cooldowns, it could indicate the use of cheats or exploits. Reports from Other Players: Listen to the experiences and observations of other players. If multiple players report the same individual for suspicious behavior, it may warrant further investigation. It's important to note that some behavior that appears suspicious may actually be a result of lag, latency issues, or legitimate game mechanics that you may not be aware of. If you suspect someone of cheating or exploiting, it's best to report them to the game's developers or customer support. They will investigate and take appropriate action if necessary. To report cheating send email to pvpReports@swtor.com, although at this point I believe that is a auto-delete mailbox and no one ever see's the reports sent in. Maybe the Broadsword change will work to fix this.
  2. harder content should not need better gear, nor should it give better gear. It should only give achievements, because that is what it means to have "skill", doing harder content with the same gear. If more gear is needed to clear that content it does not mean they have more skill. More skill means doing the harder content with the same gear. Gear inflation is a major porplem with all MMO's these days because people want a reward, they dont want to do something that is actually harder, they want to get gear that makes it easier. Giving inflated gear for that harder content makes it where players just carry ohters and end up farming credits for the carries and further distroy the enconomy.
  3. There is no reason solo pvp gear (such as wargrounds) should be better than solo PvE gear. Make Solo PvE gear 332 Purple with the same time investment as PvP gear, making it so people have to join PvP matches or GSF when PvP is detestable due to the toxic players is unacceptable. If the high end PvP'ers need that ego boost make it where arena's give 340 gear as well.
  4. My question on the Level Sync, what is the purpose if there is no reward, there is no more xp gain at max level, and the quest rewards do not level sync (very minor exception being the heroic rewards, which are near worthless now), and there are no more random gear drops for some reason... back to the earlier question, is this a way to force people to quit so they can scrap the game? Or is it completely for the PvP?
  5. This... and I am asking as a Founder... it seems the changes are mostly in order to support the PVP play... you are giving those of us that prefer not to play PVP and BIG middle finger, both in the gearing front and in the normal PvE play
  6. The current state of the game is massively screwed up considering the following points. 1: The balance of classes and prevalence of hacks, scripting and exploits in PvP and GSF make things very frustrating and calls into question the integrity of the SWTOR game. -- A way to mitigate (not actually fix, only to mitigate) this would be a player character armory to show when there is a major difference in gear being used, or a spec difference, which causes the massive difference in damage being done, or damage mitigation. Otherwise it is just attributed to hacks and exploits. 2: 7.0 is the first expansion where there is no end game (read as max level) craftable gear. Please fix crafting so it is viable again at all levels, and not just for augments. 3: The rewards for PvP weeklies are massively better than PvE. -- To be comparable to PvP rewards, the weeklies for flashpoints should be giving a level up from your current gear the same as PvP weekly rewards do, and giving multiple currencies (FP-1 and Daily Resource) at a comparable rate as PvP weeklies (with the consideration taken for the FP bosses giving Tech Frags). -- The gear needs to be fixed to be comparable (PvP/PvE) as well, either PvP purples should only be given for ranked play, OR provide PvE purples with same stats as PvP for doing Master FP's at 326. And combine the Veteran and Master FP gear into a single progression the same as PvP is. This is an effort and reward comparable balancing. -- GSF weeklies should not be giving gear, or currencies for gear as a reward, they should only be giving fleet commendations and GSF currencies. This would fix the toxic level of players, as people would not be joining "just for the reward", allowing only those that enjoy that game mode to play it because they want to. This is a game and should not need to be a second job, most of us are not making a living by streaming our gaming. It would be acceptable to make Ops be a bit more grindy and need more time for progression, but the rest of the game does not need a grind just to be able to play. Bring back the stories being the main part of the game and giving level appropriate gear for storyline questing. Possibly give level appropriate gear for heroics at 61+ instead of the almost useless mod-able shells that are given now. Also modify side quests to either give level appropriate gear, or gearing currencies so there is an actual reward for going back and doing them. The game has become so grindy to gear that there is not enough time to go enjoy all of the content such as side quests and planet story lines.
  7. At this point in 2022 I believe that players do not want a character database for people to check their gear and spec due to the prevalence of exploits and hacking, a database like that would make it too easy to verify the player is cheating. It would also level the playing field as exploited builds would be copied and toxic players would not be able to hide what they are doing as easy. On the same story line I don't think EA wants a public database for the same reason, they don't want the player base to know just how prevalent exploits and hacking are in the game as it would call into question the integrity of the game. If that happened they would loose large portions of the player base just as EverQuest did when the majority of players found out how much MQ was used by the top guilds in the game. Currently players just say others are crap players, but if it were shown that those toxic players that are saying that are using scripting and third party programs and exploits the game would loose credibility. I for one would love to take a look at others builds and learn from them and make the game a better place for everyone. MMO's in my opinion should be cooperative environments and not a PVP mandatory environment that breeds toxic players that pits everyone against each other.
