I have come up with a simple proposal to fix bolster to make it easy to understand, also to make it wear PVP gear will be slightly better than any PVE gear regardless of item level of said piece of gear. Since no one wanted to wear recruit gear because the stats were so low or because the PVE community felt is was better to wear their tier pieces, I feel like adding new recruit gear would not be a solution, also the fact that no one would add augmentation slots and augments would also make the gear gap wider. So I simple solution would be: 1. Each piece of gear not being a PVP piece would get bolstered to a 5-10% less stat's than the current entry level PVP piece of gear, currently Partisian. Including armor pieces, mods, and enhancements. This would allow the PVP gear to be slightly better than any piece of PVE gear regardless of item level. So someone coming in as a fresh 55 would be equal to someone that has been raiding for a while but refuses to use PVP gear. PVP gear should be superior to any PVE gear out there, as well as the health pool should not be raised higher for using PVE gear as it currently is. 2. Each piece of gear that has augmentation kits and augments should add to each piece of gear that was bolstered to entry level. This would benefit people who added augment slots to their gear with the stats they wanted and allow less of a gear gap than just using recruit gear that we had prior to 2.0. The people that PVE and do not PVP as much should not have to use PVP gear and augment every piece of gear but also should be allowed to have higher health pools and as it currently is have better gear that said PVP piece available. Also to this approach someone who comes in as a fresh 55 and does not have augment slots should not benefit from not using them and getting increased health. 3. All I am proposing is a 5-10% less stats than said piece of PVP gear that is currently available. This should be fairly simple to do with the fact that the pvp gear item rating is much different than PVE gear, also this would allow the people who only PVP and have the top end gear and want to earn it to have a slight advantage but not so much that it destroys the PVP community. As it currently is the health pool between some toon's can range from 22k to 40k depending on class and spec and that is way too much right now. Also as someone who PVP and does not like to do operations or any type of raid, I feel as a PVPer that the top end gear should be PVP gear and not require you to PVE to get the top end gear. This would be a simple solution to the problem eliminating massive differences in gear, allowing PVP gear to be better than PVE gear, removing recruit gear, and also benefiting people who adds augments to their gear, and thus hopefully making the PVP community much happier than it currently is.
