I'm more then happy with PVP but the rate they are releasing PVE with big titles like GW2 and D3 coming out this game is not going to survive and that's coming from someone who is very patient with MMO's. I just don't want to see the game die and at this rate it's looking girm.

Sorry but you are wearing rose tinted glasses. Every popular MMo, without exception has a tonne of maintenance following humongous content patches/expansion releases.
1.2 was a massive tech change for SWTOR, messing about with nearly everything behind the scenes that makes the game run. If you didn't expect there to be continual maintenance, as well as feedback related adjustments due to patch changes, then you are kidding yourself, sorry.

No complaints here, that hit every complaint I had with 1.2 and sorted it. Thank you BW for a fast fix to this really crappy change. All spot on now

The most important thing is to RELEASE IT ASAP.
PvE is close to dead in this game for most people outside of leveling.
Good lord if you ignore anyone, make it this guy. Please do not ever rush out these things, ever.

One of the saddest things this game suffers is that on my 50, I have still only done Esseles and one other lowbie Flashpoint. They have really good little stories, and are a nice break up from the grind of levelling, in between warzones.
You are getting close Bioware, very close, just scrabble over the cliff edge, pull yourselves up and you are on mount Golden Age of your MMo.
Really impressed with everything added so far, give this game 6 months and you have yourselves a diamond, once all the sub quit threateners have gone onto something else to wreck for everyone.

Bioware is changing this. You will only need one medal to get rewards. For that matter, it may have already been changed. Can anyone confirm?
It hasn't, just did these Warzones moments before opening this thread. Did a Novare, a Civil War and a Huttball, same results in all 3.

This healer whine is completely unwarranted. I play a commando healer and even on the worst of teams you can go to sleep and get at least 5 or 6. 90% of the time I'll have the 8 medal maximum well before the end of the game regardless of winning or losing anyway. To not get 3 you must be ignoring all objectives, not healing over 2.5k in one shot, and doing less than 75k total heals. Yes, at that point you ARE useless and deserve nothing.
Edit: I see you claim 2 for the 2.5k and 75k total healing. So, you must have ignored the objectives the entire game, never snuck in a killing blow, had less than 10 enemies die, etc. I call BS.
Please read again, you are wrong, and approaching this in a very aggressive manner. Calm down.

Top heals and no medals? What was "top heals" 50k? If so that is pathetic.
I am a healer and I average 10 medals per game. Something is wrong with how you are playing. If you cant even get 3 medals in a full game....
2 Medals, not no medals, and yes, I was actually one of 3 healers, all of us getting only 2 medals, and yet the targets we were healing, 9 and 12.
And oddly enough, I had both the 2.5k and 75k healing done, but after standing at the left defence point, under our control for 4 minutes total, did not get a third.
Went on to Huttball, same issue, 2 healing medals, but could not get a third one. All games were in from start to finish, and not partially complete when joined.
Also im not a stranger to PvP, I get, per game, 12 medals on my Jedi Knight every run, it is only on a healing character that I am finding I cannot get more than 2 without considerable luck. I am hoping it's a bug and not something that is a little overbalanced. Also do you have the source for this upcoming change? Couldn't find a mention of it myself.

Thanks to this 3 medal thing, it's dead for me now. As a healer in pre 50, I simply cannot make enough medals quick enough to get anything from the WZ. I top the healing meters, and try to keep up on damage when possible too to get that third medal, but I can't get it, and at the end of all my incredibly hard work, I get 0.
Bioware, you have made a really stupid move here, get rid of this medal requirement. I couldn't give a toss about afk abusers, ban them and let us people who are working damn hard at our classes play as intended, and not restricted by your silly system.

It's sad that the only reason im considering an iPhone/Android is for the apps. Every other feature pales compared to the WP7 functionality.
I really hope that we get one though.

We are all waiting for your game and event to go live that you so clearly have created and mastered! The entire world waits with baited breath and what you can bring to the table.

Here's the other thing.... Skyrim would not be for me, because it lacks the MMO part. I love the ability to interact with other people in this world, whether in instanced PvP, open world PvP, PvE, socially, economically, etc.
And for a HUGE jump into preference, I'd just say, why does an MMO have to have a dynamic world? Why can't the world be set? Certainly I appreciate expansions and things that add to the game, but once, you know, Hoth is Hoth, why does it need to change? Of course, I don't mean it should stay completely the same. Changing what the vendors sell or adding the Tauntaun pet and things like that are nice.
I understand why some people like larger dynamic changes. I don't so much, but I do love the MMO part of it and I do love the Star Wars part of it, so I will have to deal with it.
Because if things didn't change, people would all hit the same stopping point then the game would die. What you are suggesting is again the mechanics of a single player, non DLC game.

Well, if you're speaking to me, actually the biggest problem I've had practically speaking is that all of the participation in the events died on my server after the first few hours. I can repeat the dailies, but there hasn't been any more thrust to do the world bosses, for example. Everyone is too busy farming DNA at this point. It would be more fun if people would actually stop to participate in the event for a little while.
So you want it to be more fun by people doing the event, but you are upset because there is an event? Even as a neutral bystander, I honestly have no idea what it is that you want now.

So what im seeing from the last few posts is this:
- You have been encouraged to engage in world PvP
- You have been encouraged to engage in large scale world PvE battles
- You have had to make difficult choices that affect your gameplay and progression
- You are involving yourself in an event, even though you are complaining about it
Sounds like good MMo mechanics to me. Sorry that some people don't like the persistant worlds found in an MMo, I believe games like Skyrim and Fable are what you are looking for.
Don't be "that guy" that pee's in the punch at the best party on earth.

Bug. If you do not get 2nd stage of disease after 10min go kill yourself or do something what cures you and try again. It happened to me 2 times yesterday.
If you don't explode after 10min of 2nd stage - bug also.
Those aren't bugs. You get a random chance every 10 minutes to transform, if you don't your next chance comes around in the next 10 mins, and so on, each time you grip yourself and the spikes come out your back.
Random is random, so please don't argue this point, as it has been an argument you cannot win since MMo's first appeared.
Also to the OP, your guide is very detailed, and thank you for providing it, however your site layout is horrific. It looks like a Geocities site >_>

Well whilst I've enjoyed the event, I am truely dissapointed that the reward from the vendor is the Razer black-green crystal.
When the black-green crystal appeared in the databases, I asked customer services whether or not they were completely devaluing the razer crystals and whether I wasted money on the SWTOR brand.
They assured me that the devs would never do anything to devalue to the razer crystals.
So I am pretty upset that they encouraged me to buy a particular product and lied to me about the value of it and then tell me that I had nothing to fear, despite my concerns.
Why do this Bioware?
Oh lord give it a rest.
