  1. After 3 months. BS. That's all I have to say about that.
  2. Today is the last chance for them to ***** and moan on the forums. January 19th will be a great day!
  3. Yea same here. I make all my alts right off the bat then go back and play them when their rested xp bar is full. I hope I dont miss out on new great Legacy improvements.
  4. All games from the 1990's are grinders, Asian or not. If you follow the posts people have been talking about earning gear and working to level.
  5. I understand what you are saying. Im 45 years old and remember playing Pong and then my first PC game was text based MUDs on the schools Apple II C's. MMOs are what I am referring to and I think people understand that.
  6. After reading all of these old school posts about people, myself included, who sometimes wish MMO's were the same as the were in the old days like EQ and Lineage 2, I have a challenge. Lineage 2 is now F2P and they have started a new server with no server transfers allowed. Start an account and play for a while. See if it lives up to your memories. I am doing that and DLing it right now. I really like SWTOR and I am keeping my sub open and even playing. I will do both. Come back here and honestly relate your feelings and ideas about how games have changed.
  7. Who says that just because there is a triangle over some NPC's head that you have to go do it? I do main class story line and any thing else I do what I want. My main MMO's since 1999 has been Mu Online and Lineage 2. Very few quests if any at times, but the world is there. I could choose to go kill orcs and look for loot and xp, or I could choose to go kill Lycenthopes for loot and XP. The game is about killing stuff, looking for loot, and leveling. The same here. I do Bio. In between class quests, which are a great distraction, I go find some mobs that I can get supplies from. When I am bored with that, I move on to another location. I loved xping and looking for Security Chests in the Heroic Area near the wall on DK. Nobody was ever near the waterfalls, or the data chests. I found flowers for bio, I found some awesome drops killing Yellow mobs and had fun trying different strategies so I dont die or do better at my class, and there are many security chests to find. I can send my companion back to sell so i dont even have to go back to town! Don't play a linear game. It is an open word; do what you want. No one says you have to do the errands the NPCs want you to do do they?
  8. I dont mean to sound condescending but is Kaliyo summoned when you go in? It won't let you in if she is not summoned. I tried to walk in and then realized she was off selling trash for me.
  9. This is a good point. Why don't people go back and play the games they are nostalgic for over the years? I think we realize there is no more to do in those games, or the games do not offer any new ideas. But we want a game that will take us back to that time. The problem is it doesn't exist. So we move on and think back to the old days, but that special time won't be repeated again. It's like our first love. You know why you broke up with that selfish *****, but sometimes you just think about her.
  10. Sounds like Lineage 2 as well. Server politics were amazing. I should know lol. You had to PvP for bosses or negotiate with enemy guilds to work together or call a peace for the time being. There were no factions; I still dont like faction games but the world has changed. The server knew each other and hated/liked you. We were hated so much we had to go down to the deepest non-instanced dungeons to try and level. I enjoyed PvP, but was nowhere as good at it as my clan mates. Good times!
  11. Never never go to a gaming site to ask questions about computers. This is the answer you get: "Only noobs buy __________ they are marketed to idiots______. I can make one much better for half the money." Judge your finances and buy the computer you want. A computer with the specs you need is the one you need. I have bought four Alienwares over the years and I have regretted only one, the M11 X. I am a professional. I work 10-12 hours a day, have one masters done and working on another. I make enough money where I can buy what I want for the most part. I say this because I have neither the time nor inclination to build computers just like I don't build cars, change my own oil, or rotate my tires. PC gamers have a long history of being machine elitists. Well guess what. I love my Alienware Aura's performance and not have had one problem in game. Buy what you want and do the research at other sites than here. Cheers!
  12. But it does not tell you the specifics of each mod. It just gives the total of all mods not information on each mod.
  13. My wife and I have been playing the hell out of this game and we are both enjoying it a lot. We are both long time MMO fans who have played games since 1999. Mu Online, Lineage 2, Aion, and WoW. We actually like to grind in games! In fact, we are also grinding in TOR some too. It is a great way to make money and relieve stress. There are some great systems in this game that are a marked improvement. The color-coded drop loot is fantastic. Whenever we grind we know what to pick up and what not to pick up. Big improvement here. Having your pets go back and sell for you, huge quality of life issue as well. There are also sooo many mobs out there that it seems as if it is not a linear game. The world is huge if you like to pick an out of the way spot with lots of mobs. We also like how you can find gear you like and then keep that gear through the levels by upgrading mods. Thanks BW on these improvements to MMO. What we would like to see is an easier way to upgrade the mods and gear. When the store is open, you cannot keep your item's mods open to compare. Same with purchasing from the GTN. Please make it easier to keep up with this other than having to write it down on a piece of paper. Keep improving the game BW and we appreciate your efforts. Holla out to my L2 and WoW friends who read this. It is me btw! Come play with us! We are on The Constant. Tuffteach from WoW Pushycat from L2 Soulreaper from Mu Online
