  1. I don't think it's a problem with BW not making them more readily apparent. I think it's more the playerbase itself doesn't make them more popular due to money management. When I level up my toons, whenever I'm at the GTN to upgrade gear I always look for items with augment slots first. Unfortunately, they can be extremely hard to find most of the time. Mainly because (IMHO), a large portion of the playerbase goes straight for Biochem, and those that do actually choose a different profession usually only craft just what their own toons can use. When the players progress in levels, they repeat the process, and will rarely craft lower level gear unless they happen to have some spare mats taking up inventory space. I don't fault the playerbase for it though. In SWTOR, there are way too many money sinks and the average player is always pinching every credit they have whenever possible. It's not until you get to lvl 45-50 that money isn't much of a worry anymore. But at that point, lower level gear still isn't getting crafted.
  2. Diplomacy drops Medical Supplies, which always sell well.
  3. Maybe it's just my server... but green items always seem to sell relatively well. I'd estimate that 80% of my green items sell on the GTN. I don't vendor them unless they expire. There's always somebody looking to upgrade their companions. And while leveling up, it's really not worth it to purchase blue/purple items for companions that will quickly outgrow it.
  4. There's a nice speederbike on Quesh if you have the social points.
  5. Nope. Not pure bull. If you can't do it, then you have no clue how the skill works. If you can't harvest 100 nodes (minimum at lvl 50 and with the worst rolls ever) in 3 hours you're really going slow.
  6. I believe him. I've done it. In fact, I'd go as far as to say the only reason it took him 3 hours was because he was taking his own sweet time about it. Of course, like me, he probably doesn't rely on missions and actually gathers nodes.
  7. I haven't seen people charge for services in MMOs since the early days of EQ, where druids made a lot of money escorting low level players across the continent with their speed/haste and heals (in the event they dropped you off a cliff by mistake).
  8. You should probably charge about the same amount you'd pay someone to tank for you.
  9. My companions' hitpoints are affected by endurance. I know this, because whenever I upgrade a healer companion's gear, he will instantly cast a heal on himself to top off.
  10. ^^^ This. Except that when I did it, instead of interrupts, I just aggro juggled Jadus back and forth between Kaliyo and myself. Most of the time Jadus was just going back and forth between us and neither Kaliyo no I would lose more than 10% of our health because Jadus has a really short attack range and he'd rarely get close enough to either of us to land a blow. At one time I thought this battle was by design using your companion in such a manner because
  11. I don't find jumping laggy. But I do find collision detection faulty when jumping. It's frustrating when you run up to a ledge, jump at the last second, only to see your toon leap a whopping millimeter high and then fall. I have a suspicion there's an erroneous collision check immediately after the jump, and even though you've already jumped, if your next footfall/step would be past the ledge had you not jumped, it still tags you as falling instead of jumping. I could be wrong, but I've seen this happen too many times.
  12. Change the color crystal to one that doesn't have an alignment requirement.
  13. A bunch of hyperbole and no substance. I play toons on both sides, on the same server, and it always comes down to which side has their act together vs the other. Republic isn't gimped vs Imperial, and vice-versa.
