  1. Even small things like the ability to abandon every mission when I want to is absent. Getting a bit silly when when my mission log is filled up with gray missions I cant or wont do and not able to abandon them - should be something so easy to fix but doesn't....!
  2. I was surprised at how distracting it is with the new version. I'm in the camp that thought it was ok the way it was before and didn't need changing. I'm not passionate about it though as we will all get used to it eventually and forget how it was before. The only thing that I regret not being implemented (yet) is a visual reactionary ability "ready" symbol/message (like in Rift). For example, as trooper Hgh Impact Bolt is only available once the target has a DoT or if certain other circumstances reset the GCD of a main ability like Stock Strike which means in groups or even solo I spend most of my time watching the hotbars to see if this or other abilities are off CD and/or available to use. What would be great would be a message or symbol in the middle of the screen letting me know they are available to use (like power auras addon) Just one of many little things that aren't currently in the game that I have become used to from other games - hopefully incoming...!
  3. lol yeah, always make me laugh when people rage over not having something different, but have no idea what it is they want. You want different? Xbox Kinect is that way------> People were all saying the same thing about Rift this time last year, fast forward a year and the content keeps coming and no one is complaining. Moral of the story, be patient.
  4. I agree, although it shouldn't be instant travel. If we could just get a way to quick travel to our ship that would be a good compromise
  5. There does seem to be a perception among non-tanks that tanking in this game is very easy. As a result, in PUGs I see alot of dps attack a single target by themselves thinking that they wont get aggro or they can kill it before it kills them, despite me saying to focus fire or cc. Even if I mark and call for cc and to focus on my target, other people think they can just go off and attack a random mob and expect the healer to heal them, the tank to get aggro or that they will kill it quickly but the only person who suffers because of this mentality is the healer to has to try to keep everyone up. Most of the time they are so busy healing a rogue DPS that me as the tank dies resulting in failure. Whilst I am not max level yet, I have noticed like others even within the level 30-40 range that as a vanguard, if I need to collect a stray mob or miss a CD, even a moderately geared dps can pull aggro so it must be even worse at 50. TLDR: tanking is not as easy as you think, if you as dps die its usually your fault and whilst a threat meter would be very handy, usually its down to people (red: dps) not following instructions.
  6. Could you not just have replied to the dozens of other threads about this subject rather than starting a new one? Bioware are more likely to listen to a thread with hundreds of replies constantly bumped as opposed to dozens of new threads with a few replies each.
  7. Is it so hard to check the forum for similar posts before deciding to start a new thread? Maybe then proper discussions can take place without having to trawl through exactly the same thread every 30 seconds.
  8. Instances are a blight on the world of MMOs and go against everything an MMO should be. Any game that uses them will feel isolated, detached and empty.
  9. Whilst the worlds may be physically large, I think the OP is intimating that it doesnt FEEL large because of the instancing. Not enough people in a world make it feel like a single player RPG. I think instancing is a curse on the world of MMOs and goes against everything an MMO should be (namely massively and multiplayer) and any game that uses it makes the world feel small and detached. Yeah you might have trouble getting that quest objective due to tall the competition but at least it feels like a living breathing world.
  10. The world will never feel populated because of the use of instances. One thing WoW did well was to keep everyone n the same planet without separating them into a dozen different instances within the same server. I just wish this game could feel like a huge open world immersive living and breathing universe but that will never happen if people are split into instances.

I believe Alt-T allows you to switch your current target to your targets target, but what I want is a box for your target and another box for your targets target so as a tank I know if my enemy is targetting me. I agree completely wit this and it is the one thing I would overhaul about this game. I play MMOs BECAUSE it is crowded and there are people everywhere like a real word, not despite it. Yeah it can be a pain getting that quest objective but the true sense of immersion and open worldness you get when you know that EVERYONE playing the game is in one place and not in some parallel universe (a.k.a. another instance) is breathtaking. I hate open world instances. Oh, and like someone else said, would like the ability to shift click a name in chat to see their level, location and class!
  12. Most MMO players know that MMOs usually have a reasonably large patch around the 30 day mark with tweaks, improvements and maybe a bit more content. This is designed to retain those people who are thinking about not renewing their subscription or are on the fence. My question is simple: what would you like to see in this patch? I realise there are countless other threads about what is needed in the game and what improvements are needed (some constructive and articulate, others not so much) but bare in mind this is not a major patch, only a small one so be realistic and don't suggest whole new flashpoints or major class changes, just let the devs know what you expect in the first patch. For example, I would like to see: target of target box an improvement to channelled ability response time High res textures (if possible although this might be a major upgrade) Ability to import settings to other characters on same account (keybindings, layout, video/audio settings etc) An addition of "show all" to the legend in the world map so all vendors, trainers etc show up at once not individually Custom layouts, so we can move the character boxes, channel bar, health bars etc to where we want them (like we can with the chatbox)
  13. Apart from the part where he says "we deserve to know" what their plans are, I fully support all points raised (especially the high setting graphics part). We pay money to play the product, that doesn't entitle every player to know every little piece of planned content months before it is active or entitle us to moan when the developer doesn't answer every single question immediately. I would also like to add the ability to have a "Target of Target" box in the UI which is good for us tanks.
