  1. You're right and I changed it. Thank you for your snide moment of clarity.
  2. Stockstrike was fun. Did you charge people in PVP to stockstrike them? Or was it because you couldn't peel? I don't PVP, I avoid it. If I PVP, I play FPS where it's fair and not dumb like in MMO's, but that's my opinion. Supercharge has basically been rendered to what you have treated it as. Which is unfortunate. The alacrity bonus should not build after a 6 second window. It was a major part of buffing up Boltstorm and holding for two Boltstorms in a row. As for Suppression Protocols: It's a flat 20% damage on your next ability every 30 seconds even though you wouldn't use it otherwise. Lining it up with Explosive Round now appears to be massively important for PVE DPS. Which is dumb because it's a button to press that provides nothing except that. None of the other talents appear to have anything close to the damage potential. I would never use it in PVP, which is somewhat funny.
  3. Just get used to people who played prior expacs to being the best geared....in the same gear. There's no way to optimize this.
  4. They have no tactics just massive damage. I agree entirely. They will be nerfed by March. You heard it here first. And gear won't fix it because the damage (the two droids in Crimson fang are a fantastic example) is overtuned for 3 limited heals and shields that limit dps uptime. I don't know what to call this logic, but it's easier to do these things with 3 people and a healing companion than it is to do them with 4 DPS.
  5. Purple 230 crafted lvl 70 adept's ear piece has the exact same stats as a blue drop, despite the crafted schematic being a drop from the command crate. What is the logic here? Why is gear so whacked out now? And don't even get me started on mods and enhancements. Crafted 228 purple mods are carrying the same stats as green ones because the purples are 68 and the greens are 70. What difference does that 2 level advantage make when leveling is faceroll? Please somebody explain the logic. I'm not looking to get geared overnight, but I am still trying to figure out a reason for there being gear at all at this point. I'm going to end up wearing 216/220 set pieces forever because the set pieces are all RNG and I'm sticking the armorings in shells anyway. Nobody did the math, the set bonuses, at least for dps are always going to be worth more. It's insane. It's like a drunk guy with head trauma cut a chicken's head off and wherever it landed on a wheel it assigned the item level and stat distribution.................Just get rid of gear and give us fixed stats or fix it and make it worth something.
  6. The change to supercharge for Gunnery and reducing the cooldown on the idiotic Suppression Protocols talent makes alacrity more attractive in 5.0. I think that base threshold is going to go up. My gut feeling is: Accuracy to 109% Alacrity to X (X is TBD) Crit and Power for Days.
  7. So I wanted to see what people thought here: 1) Suppression Protocols: In PVP, fine. But in PVE, this is a 20% damage boost every 30 seconds or so that seems idiotic. You certainly parse higher using this vs. the alternative talents. But why? It's not even that great for PVP. If the class' damage is balanced around pressing a button every 30 seconds that has zero practical application, it should be re-thought. In my testing with Starparse, only the tech override extra charge came close, used in conjunction with Supercharge to stack more quickly. Suggestion: Make Suppression Protocols only buff damage against other players and add a flat 10-15% damage reduction for 10 seconds to it. 2) Change to Supercharge for Gunnery: This is another headscratcher. So now, you pop supercharge and have this minuscule window to build to six stacks to buff Boltstorm before you fire it off with the Alacrity buff. This means you now effectively have to be a ninja to fit in two abilities and a bolt storm to maximize the usage of Supercharge. Suggestion: If you want it to add some complexity to the rotation, then increase the window for creating alacrity stacks to 8 seconds, and make the alacrity buff only apply to your next Boltstorm. The change, as it stands, is in direct contradiction to making the class easier play. 3) Removal of Stockstrike: This is just a QoL/Fun issue. Stockstriking something and killing it was something that was funny. It also was also convenient when soloing or doing heroic missions. A resource-free slap to the head with the butt of your giant cannon to finish off a group and move on to the next one. It was hardly gamebreaking. Suggestion: Bring this back. Bring it back ASAP. It was situational flavor and fun.
  8. Hit me up in game. Our needs have changed: We're looking for a tank as well now. But anybody interested, please apply!
  9. Our Ops leader has a voice like liquid velvet. You will think you are raiding with Lou Rawls!
  10. Did I mention that Guild leadership only runs ops dressed up as Yoda and livestream every ops night sitting in front of their PCs?
