  1. Powertech's can't spec tracer missile.... And pyro is much more effective than tracer for pvp. I'm beginning to wonder if anyone actually takes you seriously.
  2. As opposed to now where B farms A for 15 minutes? Yea new system is better.
  3. Skill ceilings. Games with high skill ceilings allow 1 player (who's really good) to kill 5+ solo (because they aren't as skilled) because there is a large skill ceiling. SWTOR has a low skill ceiling, so 1 player (who's really good) will get beat by 2 (who aren't as skilled, but the low skill ceiling makes them just barely worse than the really good player). It's not a hard concept to grasp.
  4. You clearly don't understand skill ceilings. Basically SWTOR is Halo. Every other MMO is unreal tournament/quake/CS/just about any other fps.
  5. First point, I'll give you that through the right environmental situations, yes a healer can survive 4-6 people. But if just 1 of those players stunned at the right moment, 8 global cooldowns (4 people each getting 2 off) is enough to kill anyone who's stunned. Second point, no you didn't. Considering their shield can be dropped in 1 global, they survive a max 2-3 seconds longer (maybe an extra second with a second shield) and if they managed to survive even longer, chances are they had sprint up. My point was, to pull off any type of feat in this game, you could be the best player and have to blow EVERY cooldown. Whereas any other decent pvp game is based around intelligent play, kiting, etc. SWTOR really has little to no skill involved, I just can't wait for rated WZs, 8 sorcs will beat every team.
  6. I think the main reason pvp sucks so hard is the fact that gear/skill doesn't weigh nearly as much in this as other games. In Aion, 1 person untransformed could take on 7-10 people through superior skill, kiting, and gear. In WoW, 1 person could usually take on 2-3 as long as they weren't healers, and if you were a healer, it was possible to survive through 3-4 people beating on you using kiting and CCs correctly. In SWTOR, 1 fully geared BM can maybe handle a 2 on 1, 3 on 1 is basically impossible. And it's pretty lol worthy that 1 decently geared dps (mixed pieces of champ/cent) can take out a healer in full champ (1 on 1). It's really sad to be on your interrupts, CCs, conditional procs/skills and still be beat in a 1 on 2/3 despite the other players being bad and just spamming, not interrupting, keyboard turning, etc. I'm not asking to be a powerhouse that no one can kill, but when I see someone just clicking/keyboard turning away and doing just as well as I am, it's a little disheartening. Honestly this has to be the easiest MMO I've ever played. The skill ceiling is lower than pong.
  7. Only scoundrels, sages, and commandos can get healing medals (unless they still haven't fixed that frozen whatever item yet). There's tank medals, heal medals, and dps medals.
  8. No. The more I think about swtor, the more I hate it. PVP, class design (har har har lets give sorcs/sages every useful tool), INSANE AMOUNT OF LOADING (anyone remember stuntman for ps2?), horribly optimized, terrible gimmicky gear grind, getting BM is a joke, every planet is basically just reskinned and not to mention how empty every zone feels in general.
  9. I quit WZs as well. It's "giving up on your teammates" it's more like assessing the situation, seeing how bad your teammates are and deciding to cut your losses. And believe me, I've tried teaching my bad teammates how to play, and they usually just say "they outgear us!111" or "you're a noob, ****". So I don't really care much if my quitting screws over the immature bads that refuse to try to get better or take advise. Keep losing every match, I'll still quit when I'm pugging despite the debuff.
  10. Rather have a debuff than carry bads. And considering I can't stand playing for more than 1 match a day I'm not too worried about a debuff. You know an MMOs great when in less than 2 months from release you're geared out.
  11. I quit because I worked hard to get my character geared. If I join a wz where I'm the best geared on my team by 5-6k health, I refuse to get stomped into the ground because my horrible team can't get decent pve gear before they start to pvp. I'm not carrying bads.

    Delete Huttball

Huttball is the most balanced and competitive warzone. Voidstar sucks horribly, and alderaan is basically over in first 4 minutes or so.
  13. First of all, the difference between BM and champ gear is extremely minimal. I can tell most of you don't play with/against BM players often (or you don't even have 5% expertise which is really easy to get). Second of all you must not have played Aion (well) if you think ranged classes were OP. Sins, glads and temps were by far the most OP classes when played right.
  14. You've never played Aion. People act like gearing up in pvp is so hard, I hit 50 less than a week ago, I'm at valor rank 51 and have 8 pieces of champion gear (from ~30 bags). It really isn't hard to gear up in this game. Already have a jugg about to ding 50, I'll be able to buy 6 bags and not to mention doing dailies/weeklies as well. If you can't gear up to compete in this game, then MMOs are not for you.
  15. You mean you actually enjoyed sota with all the stupid vehicles?
