  1. I like how people who get beaten horribly in PVP think they are suddenly going to start winning because they have equal gear. Thats like the people who spend all their time AFKing warfronts or kill trading in Illum thought they were suddenly going to be competitive once they reached Battlemaster.

News flash. Winners win. If you aren't used to winning its not going to suddenly start happening for you because you have the same gear as someone else.

    ^

    5/5 champ -> 5/5 BM = 6 more primary damage for me

80% win before, 80% win after.

  2. it's not a "big disadvantage" if it's easily fixed by oneself. merely an annoyance. i've had it happen to me, and it is annoying. hopefully they figure out how to fix it soon.

well its pretty annoying when you're trying to choke someone over the fire vent and you find out you cant actually channel, so your only choice is to fall off into the pit, then charge the guy, then choke him, except by then he's already scored

its totally *** in huttball. you basically have to fall off into another level to get rid of it, and this makes it so you are out of position

  3. you mean where it looks like they're frozen at the top of a jump? it's a graphical bug that happens sometimes.

its more than graphical, it is actually a big disadvantage as the character is still considered in the air (and thus moving). so you cant channel anything if you're bugged like this.

to fix it you just have to fall off of something and land

  4. I stop at some point of a match if the match is not fun. There is a point with the nature of pugs that make it crazy to keep trying.

standing around and admitting defeat is a fair option.

Those trying to ban you for giving up a lost fight are the vocal minority. Yea no wz is lost. You could score from 4 down in huttball. You could cap every door with 2:30 left in alderaan. You could cap every noid in alderaan and hold it with 95 points remaining down 100.

You could have played each map 100 times. I can count about 1-2 times I've seen that per map in the 1-49 bracket. I've never seen it in the 50.

Point is that if you want to surrender you can surrender. Its honorable to admit defeat and stop dying.

I think you should be able to surrender and leave a wz. There should be a point when you hit a wz that its judged a loss you can leave with rewards. I mean seriously? If you want to keep fighting fine. I'd like to do other things. Its a video game.

losing currently gives 80% of everything that winning does in terms of valor/exp/money/commendations

the only thing bad about losing is psychological because you lost. its not at all a waste of time as you describe it.

unfortunately its pvp, so someone is going to lose. adding a surrender button would just make it so people can abuse it for quick rewards, without really caring to try at all.

you can surrender, but then you get nothing, hows that?

  5. Recognition....

    there ya go

that's better than anything you'd get from gear or titles or whatever

no one ever thinks "oh thank god X is here, he is so geared", they think "oh thank god X is here, he is GOOD". if you're good, you dont need gear rewards, especially gear rewards that scale as poorly as BM gear.

you know how much more primary damage I do with 5/5 BM compared to 5/5 Champ? 6 more damage. SIX. 896->902

  6. i have optimal BM gear on my character and no use for further commendations of any kind. I am valor 75. I have full stacks of overcharge and heal wz adrenals in my inventory.

by your logic all I should be doing now is afking in warzones, yet I play them and I have fun.

    your logic is flawed.

  7. unremitting is a good talent, but usually the people who say it is a "must have" are people who trinket out of the first sap they receive

its a good skill. it is not the only way to go though, and it is definitely not worth switching for force exhaust.

as far as the thread goes, OP needs to l2p. i can bomb pugs who don't know what they're doing for 700k on VS, but against the premades who are good on our server, i get maybe 400-500k instead

and the arguement of "oh well its hard to dodge when there are 4 warriors doing it" is retarded. you can take any skill in the game, then multiply it by 4 people doing it, and its harder to deal with.

  8. i wasnt able to consistently get 500k damage with vigilance on dps maps like voidstar, which i can do pretty easily with focus

also in terms of killing stuff it seems focus burst gets the job done better because of 4-7k crits aoe putting a lot of pressure on healers

not saying vigilance is bad but in my thousands of warzones i have not seen it work as well

  9. Some people on VH rerolled from imp to repub for pvp.

I shelved a 70 valor heal sorc with full bm and 4 piece columi, and only play my two repub toons now (a 50 and a 41). I haven't played the sorc in a month.

It's still pretty outnumbered in Ilum though.

you da man. ilum will not be a big deal after next week, but apart from bioware's shenanigans the other thing that needs to happen to help imbalance is people like you rolling republic! woo!

i know fatman is apparently the refugee server for low pops, but i like what we got going here community wise on VH

  10. juggs hit harder, marauders die less

juggs have more utility in huttball, which if you're sith should be the deciding factor b/c you will be playing a lot of huttball

  11. If anyone is looking to roll a republic toon on a server where the republic is making quite a comeback, vulkar highway is looking for more!

A month ago, we had maybe 50 people on the fleet compared to 250 imperials. Now while there are still 250 imperials, we have 120 people on the fleet!

We had a lot of people leave after the free month, but a strong core stayed and we have PvE and PvP guilds taking care of business still. A lot of the better imperials have also made alts or rerolled entirely, so the future for the republic looks pretty good!

How is the republic doing on other servers? To be honest I didn't see this coming, I thought we were dead in the water and everyone would leave eventually, but now I really do think republic is going to be the vanilla horde with the strong core and make a big comeback.

Also props to most of the sith, their core are good sports! A lot of the rest are surrender monkeys who ragequit as soon as they are down though! :)
