How this video game company measures and rewards loyalty seems to be a hot topic today. When a company of any type feels they owe some form of compensation to their customer base, it indicates that they take pride in their work and value their customers.
How they compensate their customer base is at their discretion, and obviously there is going to be financial implications for doing such. An MMORPG company is like many types, in that there is a set rate the customer must pay in order to access the product. (Other examples include Gym memberships, Cable Television, etc….) If a company has failed to provide the customer what they have paid for, compensation is a great way for the company to show they value their customers. If a company has only failed to provide service to a portion of the customer base then it should only compensate those who were affected.
So I end my post with not an opinion on the compensation Bioware is giving to its valued customers but to ask this question.
How or what did Bioware fail to deliver that you feel you are entitled to compensation?
