  1. I was referring to the fact that you beat me, time wise, as I thought I may be of the minority where I had not received the code, but did get my retail box. Having received the retail box 3 days ago, you "beat" me on that one.
  2. A threat is more or less an intent communicated to another party with the purpose to inflict some form of loss or harm. Not sure where you see in my comments I am threatening anyone with anything; I am merely 1) alerting people that their retail boxes are arriving today (Gamestop + Amazon) and 2) noting the irony of the whole situation where I have received my retail box (originally scheduled for the 20th) prior to my early access. If you are merely trying to flex your cyber muscles that you ordered this game in July go ahead and be proud...Myself, I prefer to make an educated decision on where I spend my money and had waited to hear more news about this game and GW2's release. Good day.
  3. I received my CEs before the Early Access Code...oh the irony...Thought I would share as my other thread from last night fell into the abyss. Gamestop and Amazon are shipping out retail boxes and they should arrive today at your house so watch the door or risk a "Jingle All the Way" issue
  4. You are correct...to a degree...BUT the IP for this game (SWTOR) carries huge amounts of weight.
  5. Aye, I was surprised myself. Do you think it is due to cancellations or more copies?
  6. My thoughts from another thread: "Only thing I could think of was that they wanted more concrete subscription numbers for end of the quarter reports to stockholders. Granted a free month to everyone will yield no revenue, the numbers will at least ease stockholders' minds as they clamor for a return on investment from that $300 million development budget." OR "That is a good point. Perhaps, with next week being the busiest mailing week of the year, they wanted to avoid a PR meltdown if people got their retail boxes late after launch..."
  7. I think UO should be on top because it started the genre's popularity. The PVP in that game was fabulous and the PVE was on par as well. An all around great game that is still played. Great Lakes shard ftw.
  8. Odd, I received an email stating it was shipped. Either way, glad this helped. These days, it may not be wise to leave SWTOR on your doorstep or you may have a "Jingle All the Way" issue.
  9. That is a good point. Perhaps, with next week being the busiest mailing week of the year, they wanted to avoid a PR meltdown if people got their retail boxes late after launch...
  10. Yup, I get the actual retail box that was supposed to arrive on December 20th. Statute, map, retail code, etc.
  11. I am still curious about this sudden change; though I am happy Only thing I could think of was that they wanted more concrete subscription numbers for end of the quarter reports to stockholders. Granted a free month to everyone will yield no revenue, the numbers will at least ease stockholders' minds as they clamor for a return on investment from that $300 million development budget.
  12. UO aka Ultima Online? Asheron's Call?
  13. Here it is: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=32494
  14. Agreed, the vast majority are ingame playing and enjoying the game. All you get on the forums is people complaining about a specific class, someone complaining about the SWTOR software causing their hdd to fail (true story; saw it today), etc.
  15. Ordered a second CE from Gamestop a few hours ago and it arrives tomorrow errr today (made a thread about this). Preorder codes are unlikely, though you will likely be able to register your game prior to the 20th...
  16. Ordered 1 CE from Amazon and Gamestop respectively and they will arrive tomorrow, December 16th. Not sure about whether or not standard and deluxe editions are also being shipped out this early, though I am curious nonetheless. What prompted this has also made me quite curious.
  17. I ordered a second one from there when I saw the thread stating they have them available. I am getting one from Amazon and one from Gamestop tomorrow.
  18. Only natural in any consumer product driven industry that a handful of items will come off the proverbial assembly line and be defective..As others have stated, it sounds like your hdd was a defective product that should have never made it past quality control, but unfortunately did. You are fortunate to have isolated the issue...because the damn thing blew up...and mend the issue and keep playing. Regardless, Bioware is not responsible.
  19. Ugh... Edit: Double post from the one above due to that waiting room bs...
  20. True that is another angle in going the 5 in medicine anyway and picking up the inlays. To play devil's advocate, this is what I had been working on and it goes in the opposite direction: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#401MZGhGRdzbfczZhMbz.1 Though, for pvp that build you referenced, on paper and without testing, looks strong.
  21. This is great stuff, really great stuff! Honestly though, you should give Gettysburg its due!!! The battle that largely ended the American Civil War and you are on the forums...sigh...
  22. HAHAHAHAHAHA eMachines...oh man I remember those pieces of garbage!
  23. I keep going back and forth on whether it would be more advantageous to take: 1) Imperial Education or 2) Corrosive Microbes and Lethal Injectors. Could anyone share some insight on this dilemma please? Edit: Missed Fooliner's post on the refresh... Fooliner, I have been curious about this same dynamic and based off the numbers, I concur. I will give it a shot once I get in and see what happens.
