  1. Completely agree with this, well said. I don't see any reason why it would be retroactive per character. It would work the same was the Legacy XP system does; any content you do on any (Level 70) character increases the CXP level of your legacy (one bar for the whole legacy). When you hit a new CXP level, the character you're on at that moment gets the command crate. The command crates should also be made bound-to-legacy, so you can send it to whichever toon you wish to use it on, regardless of which one you happen to be playing when you hit the new level. This way you still get gear at the same rate, but no matter which character you're playing, you're increasing your entire legacy's cxp level. This system would just allow you to decide which toon you wish to focus on, without requiring you to play that toon exclusively. Additionally, once you're done gearing up whichever character you're prioritizing, you can then start focusing on gearing up your alts by sending them any further Tier 3 crates, without having to start the 180+ tier grind all over again on them. I would also highly recommend increasing the amount of CXP you're awarded from disintegrating a set bonus piece to 1,000 to 2,000 command points. That way when someone gets a duplicate set piece, instead of being frustrated and disappointed, they at least get the consolation of knowing it'll help them advance to the next crate a little more quickly.
  2. So I was discussing this with someone tonight, and they were telling me that it wasn't just Force Technique that was doubling: they were getting two stacks of Breaching Shadows when using a melee attack (in most cases) or when using Psychokinetic Blast. Yet I was unable to replicate the same results; Infiltration, for me, seemed to be working exactly as described. We tried a few ideas, before it occurred to me that I was in Serenity when the patch hit, and he was already speced Infiltration. I switched to one of my other Shadows, who was Infil when 5.0 hit (though has respeced tank and back since)... and viola, double charges. So it seems that some of our pre-5.0 passives were not disabled correctly, only hidden; which means both the old and new ones are stacking, and thus double the procs. Mystery solved, though it's crazy to realize that some shadows are now inherently better than others (until the bug is resolved) simply because of what spec they were in when the patch hit. Let's enjoy it while it lasts, and hope that Bioware gives Infil a slight buff (and Serenity a major one, as melee sustained specs should really have the highest damage potential) when the next rebalancing patch arrives.
  3. Howdy folks. So I've been hearing about a bug that, if I'm not mistaken, doubles the effectiveness of our stance (in Infiltration's case, Shadow Technique). Can someone explain the nature of this bug? I did some quick testing on the dummy and from what I'm seeing, it procs roughly once every 6 seconds (4 GCDs), does about 2k internal (yellow) damage, and builds one stack of Breaching Shadows, as the tooltip suggests it should. And the 50% chance does not seem to be doubled to 100% because more than a few times my first melee attack on the dummy has not triggered any internal damage or built a stack of Breaching Shadows. I'm likely missing something, but I'm not sure what. If someone could point out how the stance is bugged, I'd appreciate it!
  4. Knights of the Eternal Throne has been out for nearly a month now, and that means a whole slew of new videos! I've been updating my channel with new warzone videos daily, as well as operations fights a couple times each week. And for those more interested in story content, my Let's Play through KotET has been completed as well. http://www.youtube.com/aravail
  5. Stomp on them. It's incredibly unintuitive, but the stomp in chapter 8 is by far the highest dps on enemy walkers (or any enemy, for that matter), even though they're just as tall as you are.
  6. Ep 20 All about the difference between free to play, subscribed and preferred in SWTOR, and which one you want to be depending on how you play.
  7. Still uploading warzones, operation runs, let's plays, and plenty more 2-3 times each week! If you enjoy watching Swtor vids, don't miss out on the fun! https://www.youtube.com/aravail
  8. RoH has been doing a ton of raiding the past few weeks, from storymodes and gearing hardmodes, to priority operations, and even making good progress though HM Temple of Sacrifice. You can check out one of our latest runs, including our best attempt yet on HM Revan, here:
  9. A new season of Ranked PvP is upon us, and once again I'll be uploading all kinds of exciting games from this season. Be sure to check out the playlist here: And as always, I'll be continuing to upload videos of Hard Mode operations every week, and of course regular warzones as well. You can find the ever-growing playlists of those here: Operations - Warzones - And last but not least, a new month also brings with it a new Chapter of KotFE, Visions in the Dark!
  10. Things are going well for RoH in both PvE and PvP! Here are some videos of our Hard Mode ops groups running Temple of Sacrfice and Karagga's Palace the past few weeks: RaVem has also been putting together sign-up storymode operations every week, which I hear are going very well, and getting lots of new raiders into the mix! Here are some PvP videos from the past month as well: If you're looking for a fun, friendly guild that also enjoys experiencing everything the game has to offer, be sure to check out RoH today!
  11. I really hope they're working to make this happen. The number one reason people stop queuing for solo ranked is due to the feeling that the odds are stacked against them, whether perceived or real, and when there's a clear faction imbalance, one can hardly blame them for ceasing to queue. Having cross-faction queues would not only make the matches more fair for everyone (not just because they're all in the same pot -per server at least- but because that pot is now significantly larger, and ELO works a lot better with larger player pools) but would also mean that twice the number of people would be willing to queue, allowing them to pop much more often. And that's the other main reason people stop queuing: they don't see ranked popping often enough on their server to warrant the investment. The technology is obviously there; if you want ranked to be a successful game mode (which you should: it takes low development time/energy but provides a very large amount of play time) having cross-faction queues would be a big step in the right direction.
  12. Agreed; silly change that really needs to be fixed.
  13. Chapter XI: Disavowed is now up on my channel, along with plenty of new warzone videos (including previews of Odessen and Rishi), Hard Mode operation runs, and new hypercrate openings! https://www.youtube.com/aravail
  14. helpmewin is right in that your opener will likely vary if your opponent has cooldowns active (for example, you don't want to open with Discharge on a shadow that has Resilience going, or Spike a Gunslinger with Hunker Down), but my typical opener is most similar to ruling's: Spike > Recklessness > Discharge > Shadow Stride > Discharge > Voltaic Slash > Maul > Ball Lightning. This rotation ensures that (1) you don't waste a Recklessness charge on Spike, which is for some reason a Force attack, (2) you use VS before Maul so you get the auto-crit from your set bonus, and (3) you don't waste charges of Static Charge by using melee attacks while you already have three stacks. Of those moves, every one but spike/vs (your lowest damage ones) will be virtual auto-crits, and having most of them hitting during your relic windows can do a decent chunk of damage. If your opponent is low, you can follow it up with Assassinate or, depending on the situation, even use Force Cloak to reset your cooldowns, though I prefer to use cloak defensively in PvP.
  15. Tons of activity and events in RoH the past few weeks! Here are some videos: Hardmode Explosive Conflict from Tuesday: Me learning to Shadow Tank in Hardmode KP: Killing a named Imperial Commander a few weeks ago:
