Just want to specify it wasn't only LD50 and Uncensored in that super pug group. 1 GAF, 1 Einherjar, 1 Bad Rep, 2 LD50, 3 Uncensored. The reason I'm mentioning it is to say that I don't think a super pug group need to have only LD50/Uncensored players, many guilds have top tier players without having a full 8 of them.

We did something looking like a super pug tonight and it went well. We managed to win without bubble stun! Please everyone stop using that spec! To Unicorn, where is Didact? The time where your team was the strongest was when he was playing in that CW a couple weeks ago. He was engineering. Not saying you guys can do as well without him, but it seems that we haven't seen "Team Echo" full team again, which is sad considering the level of competition it was bringing.

Maybe because the pulse and the sage aoe tick multiple times while smash is only one attack? Or maybe because 30k+ biggest hits on the scoreboard would be going overboard?

I think you are probably confused honestly lol As far as I know you played ranked with me and we haven't faced full PD, only pugs group with 2 to 4 PD members in them or around that number. Wednesday is the no Uncensored day because most of our players will be doing PvE. It is NOT a guarantee though. I think it's a good time to start your PD group, it will give you time to practice against the pugs before facing LD50 or Uncensored and you might also get to face the Unicorn A team, they are really strong when they are on a good day. And Barbie about coming in the pugs, I'd say the best is going to the side that is missing just a few to get another team but I won't lie about having a preference for imp side!

I think most of the pugs are happy that full guilds queue unless it's Uncensored/LD50. So don't worry about it, it's just more competition and more pops. If you aren't running with full guild though, don't hesitate to join the pug roster!

Neldiahr I haven't seen you in the people on the orbital station, normally if you are there on time, we accept everyone as long as they have full WH gear or close to. If you want to join before the teams are formed you shouldn't be refused, although you might end up on team undesirable

Imo, even though I had "some" fun, this was failure, we got only one big fight on hoth like 40 minutes too late... if people want this to happen again, need better organization. Especially, shorter spawn between the base and no elevator that let us kill 30 people with 3 knockbacks roflmao

Don't do it Fanatic... you'd never comeback! I'm supposed to get the +10 datacron with Hakuna Matata tonight, if we don't do it or when I'm done with it, I will see what I can do with imps pug side. Although that's assuming I don't do ranked with Uncensored, but we have a lot of people online now in comparison to before.

I was very pleasantly surprised at the enthusiam of everyone that joined the ops group. I also thought the level of play we showcased was very decent for first timers. And foxmob, see, Uncensored didn't completely kill ranked yet I'll try to convince Jinxs to post in this thread or the other one about finding some days where pug ranked will be planned and no full LD50 or uncensored will queue. I think Devil and I have shown our good will tonight, hopefully people will compromise!

I thought pubs could use bad rep mumble and imps could use virtus and honor mumble?

This is my first mmo and I had no idea I'd even try a warzone once when I got into this game. PvP sounded like a bad thing in a game like a mmorpg. That may be because I used to play RTS I don't really know. Anyway I started playing with having only PvE in mind but when my real life friends stopped playing, I lost my interest for PvE mostly.

I would add to what Vasyel said that if someone is really good at duel, it is a generally safe assumption that he is going to be a good player in other areas of the game up to a certain point. Also, dueling is a place where I consider I have room for improvement and it's something I can practice whenever I get a dueling partner. It's hard to get better in reg wz when the teams are so often imbalanced and pugs created situations that you wouldn't encounter in ranked anyways. If I could practice ranked warzones, like 8v8 in guild, I would, it's just not doable for Uncensored.

Tbh, I disagree partially with what you are saying Neb. I think being very good at duels is useful in warzone, if only for knowing what to do in certain situations. But I don't feel like explaining my view more than this and I completely respect your opinion. The real reason I like dueling isn't rational at all, I just find it fun for what it is. Some match-up are funnier than others. Marauder against powertech is boring imho, but sorc vs mara or sniper vs mara is amazingly fun. I also like that having a 1v1 limit the possibilities up to a point where it's possible to make a "duel plan" against a lot of possibilities.

Yeah I think that mara can't beat scrapper, although the last wz I faced you made me think rage might have a chance if grenades are allowed into the duel. I don't think you being able to kill any mara is what make you good though, I don't think any mara could survive me being scrapper either. You killing me when I'm scoundrel healer is far more impressive imho, especially since you win when I go scrapper and you heal too. But beware, you're the best for now, but I'm practicing! I still stand by my claim that healer scoundrel should beat scrapper over 60% of the time. And stop trolling about having no pure tank, you know I know

Alright, when I made this thread http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=578267 there are many things that have happened that I hadn't foreseen at all. I find myself conflicted and confused as to what is the best thing to do to keep the ranked warzone community healthy. I will post my thoughts simply because I care about this. If you don't feel like reading the wall of text, you can skip to the important part. - Foxmob post is a very good example of why ranked warzones can become stale. Uncensored merely posting they are going to queue full group is enough to claim that ranked wz are dead? This look like a very pessimistic attitude to me and if everyone think that way, of course it's gonna die, and fast. The good news is that a good attitude can do the exact opposite, here I can take Teamluckyseven as an example, who keeps queing and are slowly but surely improving. Unicorn Stampede new ranked group put up a real fight against Uncensored last time I played against them. They haven't been playing with this team for very long, although I suppose they have been playing together in reg etc. for a while. They took the time to practice in outlaw's den and put a serious effort in their team and there you go. - That being said, I still think kickball ranked wz are awesome. Even if the ranked wz had like 5 full guilds queing every night consistently, I think everyone would enjoy 1 to 3 days of kickball every week. It's refreshing, let's you know the people you play against better (every person I talked to on mumble was nice), it's less "serious" and less pressure. It's fun to try messy comps and play "underpowered" specs. - BUT kickball ranked wz shouldn't be the main event imho. I've talked to CM about my concerns a couple days ago and he shared a similar opinion to mine. The thread I made and the actions I've taken with pugs group on imp side and CM with the sometimes 40 people ops group on pub side had as primary objective to revitalize the community. The goal was that people would improve, familiarize with competitive games and have enough fun to want more. That way, maybe we'd get more full real teams. - Now last time I queued with Uncensored full group against pugs, I have been accused of being an hypocrite, which has made me sad. I could go on to argue why I did it but I think it wouldn't do much good. I'd rather talk about what's going to happen next. My guild wants to queue full group for many reasons. And kickball night 4-5 days a week is essentially stopping us from playing together and getting very competitive match. Sure balanced pug teams create competition, but a lower level of competition. - IMPORTANT PART : I suggest that kickball should be done 1 to 3 days per week. I think that during these 1 to 3 days, it would be great if the strongest guilds could agree not to queue. Or like Uncensored did, to queue only after letting the pugs group fight each other for 2 hours. As it was proposed by Jinxs, alternatively, after 2 hours, a super-pug team could be made. Now I don't have a definition of what would be a super-pug team, but it could be a team made of players considered very good and/or a team with a very powerful composition. (4 smashers 1 bubble 1 scoundrel healer 1 guardian tank 1 shadow tank lolol) With the current state of the game and our server's community, I think this is the right moment to try to get full guild ranked PvP going again. If it doesn't work now, then imho it means it's not gonna work no matter what we do until Bioware make some massive changes. Finally, remember the people that said kickball wouldn't work. It worked. For a time? Maybe. The point is we have the power to do what we want if everyone step up. Thank you for reading. I am still uncertain about what I will do if Jinxs refuses to let kickball happen around 2 days per week. My loyalty is to Uncensored, but I play this game to have fun. I think I'm doing everything I can so that we can have an healthy community. I'm gonna queue with Uncensored full group probably around 4 times a week and if after that, for WHATEVER reasons (cause we all know one good guild queing ranked is not the source of SWTOR ranked PvP problems) ranked warzones ends up dead, well I'll have fun while I can for one last month then I'll unsub and wait for changes.

That's awesome! Maybe imp side will have enough players to start doing kickball night soon, with uncensored, unicorn, try hard united, dark eclipse, teamluckyseven, hydra and transcendant. Of course pub side will probably have higher quality players but this could get somewhere!
