  1. BINGO ******* BINGO ******** BINGO*******!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D I use windows 7. These solutions didn't work for me. However, in Solution 1, when I tried checking "disable visual themes" instead of checking "disable desktop composition", that seemingly fixed the problem. The game starts now. THIS WORKED FOR ME!!!!! DISABLE DESKTOP COMPOSITION FOR WINDOWS 7 USERS! WORKS! WORKS!
  2. Let me preface by saying I've been playing since launch on the same computer and have never had an issue. Ever since the 5.2 patch I have been having really bad issues with frame rates. Or a slight delay. Especially in warzones. warzones are a slide show and unplayable. This is game-breaking. I asked all of my guild mates if they were experiencing the same thing and they all are having a similar issue. So my guess its server side and not client side. I know it isn't my internet connection. I pay for the fastest internet speeds I can get. Also I have 2 powerful GPU's in crossfire configuration and as I said at the beginning, I have never experienced this before and nothing has change on my end. Can you confirm that this is known current issue? Is anyone else experiencing the same issue as of late?
  3. Don't believe all of this. Give Hatred a try. It's actually quite good and a lot of fun to play. I can melt most other classes. It may take slightly longer than some other specs but that is what this spec is all about. Pressuring and waiting for the opportunity to strike. Some classes can be tough and with every class you have good players no matter what class they play. Most people freak out when you DOT them up and drop their health to half and then you stealth out and wait. Let it drop a little more. Then hit them with spike and finish them off. You just have to be smart about it. Los and stealth are your friends in this spec. The healing in this spec keeps me in the fight. All be it sometimes by the skin of my teeth. At the end of a PVP match, I usually have very few deaths and average over 2 million in total damage when the match is competitive. I'm just slightly above average in PVP. Sometimes I'm really on my game or the other team just sucks and I can post over 3 mil in damage. I keep pressure on top DPS classes and healers. That's my job with this spec. I make them burn through their heals and defensive cool downs. Others on my team provide the burst damage to finish someone off. So yeah, Hatred is completely doable in PVP in 5.0. I'm running 46% to 47% critical rating and about 5% to 6% alacrity. You get a lot of procs to use assassinate on any health level. That plus the melee critical bonus from using force ability + the critical rating buff relic+ mastery relic, can boost melee critical ratings into the 57% to 59% range. That when things get fun. I'm in mostly 236 gear at the moment. Just my 2 cents. Thanks for reading.
  4. http://swtorsithassassin.com/2011/12/madness-assassin/ copy and paste this link if you can't click on it. There's is some good info on madness assassin and different assassin builds to include gearing. I'm not saying that what is on this web site is the be all end all but it might help point you in the right direction. Hope that helps some. Cheers!
  5. Use darkenss stance/charge and a shield with some defense/shield mods in your build and a healer companion with 31 points in madness and the rest in darkeness and you will see a big difference in being able to solo through content. Try get as much power as you can and some surge rating it will impove your DOT's and the heals that you receive from paratism. From Hoth I used Talos once I picked him up and always use him. I built him up and got him some modable gear so that I get the most from his heals. Also look for a purple earpeice that has presence that will also help increase his healing capability. Stay with it man madness gets better. It's tricky and takes some getting used to but there are some great benefits to it like the range of deathfiled and also thrash realy starts to hit hard at end game. Oh and always place a guard on Talos and as long as you keep up with your armor and mods as you make your way through the different worlds you can pretty much solo anything even golds easily. With all of that healing you are kinda in a god mode and hardly ever fall below half health unless you get swormed from a mass mob. But even 5 or 6 npc's at once is managable. Hope that helps!
