  1. Daaaaaang. Now we're talking. This revelation represents me not having to buy a second War Hero set. edit: Actually, nvm. This is right: I just checked by buying a cheap un-augmented battlemaster crafted item. it gives no set bonus.
  2. Very interesting. Then I guess the question for hybrids is: Supercommando set bonuses with WH combat tech mods without augment slots OR Combat Tech set bonuses with WH combat tech mods with augment slots from orange pieces... I guess the answer is sortof obvious. You have to take the augments because the Supercommando set bonus isn't THAT much better than the Combat Tech. At least until we can afford both the combat tech WH mods/enhancements and supercommando WH armoring.
  3. Fascinating question, me. I'm just as interested in hearing an answer as you (me) are. I'm bumping your (my) post back up to the top! And might I add that this morning you're looking slimy and grotesque, like a good Hutt should. edit: I asked this in the Vanguard forums, and a BH there says he has experience that the baked-in shell set took precedence over the WH armoring.
  4. I assume you don't get both. If the shell takes precedence, it would be useful for vanguard hybrid tanks because it means you can buy the War Hero Combat Tech mods but put them in Battlemaster Supercommando gear and get the Supercommando bonus. FYI: The WH armoring carries the set bonus. The BM shells carry the set bonus.
  5. I assume you don't get both. 6. BM pieces are purple (and I presume they stay purple without mods?), but otherwise, that is the theory. I feel like the responses in this thread are still just shy of confirmation... Anyone know for sure?
  7. Anyone know if you can remove the mods from the gear you trade in and still have the BM piece count as the currency for purchase?
  8. Guys, good work on your new records. Unfortunately, I've decided to stop work on this thread and let it remain a record of pre-1.2 days. If anyone wants to start up a new thread for 1.2, I highly encourage it! Havoc Squad! (Not including Commandos!)
  9. Same. My sounds got nooked. I'm missing a ton of audio queues in huttball as well as all the other symptoms that have been reported.
  10. I'm trying to spend down some of my BM comms before they get (apparently) devalued in 1.2. I need a link to the most up-to-date list of 1.2 BM and WH pieces from all classes, including a breakdown of their gems. That way I will be able to figure out which pieces have useful gems in them, and thus worth purchasing before 1.2 hits so that they will auto-upgrade into something useful. Is that clear? If anyone already knows of some pieces with some good gems with crit, surge, or power, please post here. For instance, if hypothetically the Smuggler Eliminator BH Gloves will get a sweet mod in 1.2, I'd like to know now so I can buy it.
  11. You make a bunch of excellent points, so I just wanted to mention that first. Secondly, regarding what I bolded, I just want to make sure everyone understands that armor DOES mitigate versus SOME force and tech attacks. For instance, telekinetic throw and channeled lightning are kinetic damage, so they are mitigated by armor. Armor defends against kinetic and energy attacks, which can be Force or Tech or anything else. It's all quite confusing.
  12. Heck ya! Pretty amazing crit. I think most likely I'll have to start a new set of records for 1.2, so whatever records are on file by then will be preserved forever.
  13. Regarding which pieces to buy, since you're looking for advice, I'd recommend all off-set pieces be the DPS versions, except use the supercommando offhand shield.
  14. I'm not online right now so my memory of the stats might be off, BUT... Centurion off-hand costs one-third of the Centurion weapon. Champion off-hand costs one-third of the Champion weapon. Battlemaster off-hand costs the same as Battlemaster weapon. I'm guessing they accidentally tripled the price of the Battlemaster offhand. Get that piece last. It's a ripoff, relatively speaking. Also, don't let your current gear determine which BM pieces to get first. Now that you're BM, Champion comms will start pouring in so fast you won't know what to do with them. Therefore, assume that every slot will be Champion gear at least in a very short time.
