  2. Cybertech is the probably the most useful profession for any class if you're not going Biochem. There is a preponderance of orange gear from quests and drops, so it's great to be able to make the mods to upgrade it.
  3. Sith use red sabers as a matter of prestige, sort of like the colors of a team jersey, banner, or flag. There is nothing more to it than that. Individual Sith have used many different colors of sabers throughout Galactic history. Point of fact, as other people have said, Darth Vader himself continued to use his blue light saber after his fall to the dark side. Only after Obi-wan Kenobi took it away from him on Mustafar (later giving it to Luke) did Vader build a new saber with a red crystal out of choice. It makes no sense to artificially restrict what is a personal choice, both in the official film canon and throughout the expanded universe's history.
  4. If a silly Force trick managed to dissuade you from your ambitions, then you truly were not meant for the glory of the Dark Side.
  5. Try playing a Sith Inquisitor and then get back to me. At least you don't have to look like Darth Big Bird. TOR desperately needs a Transmogrification system.
  6. That's obviously an exploit, and people caught doing it ought to be banned. Plain and simple. It's no different from rigging Warsong Gulch games (or any CTF style game) with much the same behavior, though that became a lot more difficult after cross-realm BGs were implemented.
  7. This is a great argument. Until you connect some brain cells and realize that people play MORE THAN ONE CHARACTER. If we shouldn't queue sub-50, then don't put it in the game. Don't sit there and tell me I shouldn't pvp on my alts for FIFTY EFFING LEVELS.
  8. Signing under the original post here. The difference between a game with 50's and without 50's is astounding. I saw a 50 Jedi Knight today in PvP gear who had 18,000 health, vs my 12,000 on my 39 Sorc. He might as well be level 75 for all that it mattered trying to fight him. He was effectively unkillable and it threw the BG completely in Repub favor for that game. There should be enough 50's by now that they can get a decent queue time. It's time to take the training wheels off for them.
  9. It's soooo not OK for Sorcs either! Just coz we're "casters" doesn't mean we should look like the bastard child of a showgirl outfit and a neon orange sign. Hell I'd love to find a decent pair of pants that my female Sorc can wear ffs. I'm saving up for the Pilot's pants but I'm not completely sold on the color. Sith Warriors got all the cool toys while Inquisitors got the bored modeling artist who felt utterly uninspired.
  10. Have you looked at any of our talents recently? We get massive benefit from crit procs in all 3 trees.
  11. Just an oversight I think. I noticed it too. It's a bit annoying, but I have quite the collection of mod-able lightsabers at this point with various styles so I'm satisfied.
  12. I'm pretty sure I saw an identical helm that was level 50, not sure if it was PvP or crafted. This set looks godly. It is crafted apparently, so I will have to keep an eye out on the GTN. Many thanks for the suggestions folks - keep 'em coming.
  13. Healing story/quest = fun. Healing Flashpoints = FUN. Healing PvP = most miserable, agonizing experience I have ever had. I have been a healer with all 4 classes in WoW for raiding, BGs, and arena, and was usually the best in any guild I was in. So it's not a lack of knowledge on how to heal. Healing in PvP in this game SUCKS. This feels like vanilla WoW healing in PvP, except probably worse since we don't even have the utility that a Resto Druid or Holy Pally had - namely the ability to TANK damage with high armor and cooldowns like Bear Form / stacked hots / frenzied regen or plate armor and Divine Shield. And why would I want to heal for a few hundred points of healing when I could do thousands in damage in the same time frame? It's pathetic. People talk about some mythical advantage healing is supposed to provide, but I don't see it. If you are sitting on a top DPS healing the hell out of them it still is only breaking even at best, because YOU could be doing top DPS alongside them! In order for healing to be worth it, it has to be SUPERIOR to DPS, or at least able to BURST heal more in clutch situations. You can't save anyone in this game, even if you blow your cooldowns, so really all you do 90% of the time as a healer is top people off - which they can do themselves if they aren't a lazy POS. I feel like a traitor to my team when I heal instead of doing DPS. You need to KILL people to get objectives in this game. There is no value in 'sort of' keeping your allies alive a little longer than they would last normally. KILLING the enemy to make their damage go away is much more effective than healing allies.
  14. Obviously people should be able to choose the BG to queue for. Myself I like them all more or less, Huttball is actually my favorite. It's completely dependent upon personal taste.
  15. What armor sets (orange preferably) have people found to be good looking in their exploration, and where did you find them? I'm having a tough time finding a robe set that I like on my Sith Sorc, and TORHead doesn't seem to have screenshots of most gear, nor do they have 3D models yet.
