Even when its been off for hours?

Hi there. I'm installing TOR on my new PC and I'm worried if I close the launcher for the night and the PC I'll have to reinstall everything from start. Will that happen or will start from 32%, 29%, etc when I reopen it hours later?

Only those who have finished the Shadow of Revan story should read this, as there are big spoilers ahead. So we all know that the Emperor has returned. It's pretty obvious they'll be using him for the next expansion. Question is, what will the expansion be? What will be its story, fps, and ops, and what will it add to the game? I'm just hoping they get the old voice of the Emperor back. That new voice doesn't fit in my opinion.

Hey there. I was playing Dread Palace for the first time until both our healers left. I put us in queue for replacements until one of ours found healers. But we could not invite them as we were in a queue. But there was no option to leave the queue at all. When we changed leaders, we were not allowed to queue again which sucked because the healers our friend found was now in GF. Only when another one of ours left were we allowed in. We could not get any help from invites because "You cannot invite players to a group finder formed group." Who designed group finder this way? If we want to invite other players we should be allowed to and we should be allowed to leave and enter queue as we please. A very frustrating experience, this was.

Hmm, you make a good point. I don't know EVERYTHING about EU, in fact I probably only know a small part of it. Star Wars The Force Unleashed 1 and 2, SWTOR, and several SWTOR books are all EU stuff I've played/read.

Well that is beyond stupid. But it takes more than a horrible holiday special and a ridiculous story about a droid saving the galaxy to say the EU was full of garbage.

But the EU wasn't full of garbage. There was a shedload of amazing stuff that was GOOD for Star Wars. The Star Wars Holiday Special was an abomination and boring as hell, but rather than taking the time to declare stuff like that non-canon, they just said "Screw it, it's too hard! Let's just declare the whole EU non-canon, and make ONLY the movies and tv series canon. I don't care if you loved the EU, we don't care about what you feel because SCREW YOU, GIVE ME MONEY!"

Very well said. This proves Lucas is a selfish person and he has no care for anyone who liked anything that WASN'T his work. It's so selfish to say "That's not my work, so that's not canon." Seriously it wouldn't kill you to allow OTHERS to expand your universe! You're so selfish Lucas.

This will result in the creation of two things. Lucasfilm and their Star Wars movies, and the fans who support them, and the fans who hate the fact that all of this in non-canon will be split in two. I fear that Lucasfilm has lost a lot of support from its fans. By the way, any fan who didn't want this to be canon, what where you thinking?! Its years of hard work! Not just the game, but tons of things!

I for one hate this. Lucasfilm, you are horrible. Make this game canon now because its brilliant, as well as the books written around this game. Seriously, I don't care if Episode VII needs more "freedom", only someone who deliberately wanted to make us angry and upset by declaring years of expanded universe content to have never happened would have agreed to this. I really don't get it. Why would you look at all of these stories and say "No. I don't want those to be canon. I don't CARE if hundreds of fans liked it, I don't want that linked to the movies. That did NOT happen." Something has to be done to make this "non-canon" universe canon. It's just cruel to say Revan, and all these Old Republic events are not true.

Hi. I need to ask about Denon. Does it even exist? I'm having a real problem with it because I've queued over ten times to try and get into that warzone, but...not once have I ever got Denon. I asked people on the fleet, and they said I need to go to hangar and select mission departures. There's no such thing as that! Does anyone have the same problem?

Guys, I need some help. I have some bad problems in the game and I think it would be kind for one of you to train me. What I am saying is, my character, Skytremor, is the only one I have made so far and I don't want to stop untill I reach level 50. But the only problem is that I can't control my emotions. I just yell out in rage. I can't help it! It's not my fault! I am sure you would say it IS my fault. If you do, then I respect your decision. I am looking for someone on the Lord Calypho server (Thats where I am) to train me. You know, to help me through the game untill I get to level 50. If you want to do it, then leave a message in the comments below so I know you want to help. It should only take a few days, because I am level 46 now. It took me long to get there because I don't stay up ALL NIGHT and play this game. If I did that, how would I sleep? There is something strange about the Jedi Knight storyline. DO NOT read this if you have not left Tython in your Jedi Knight story. After defeating Bengel Morr, Bengel tells the Jedi Knight that he is impressed by his power and thinks that it is the jedi knight who will defeat the Sith Emperor. Now, if you have seen the prequel trilogy of the Star Wars movies, you should remember that the jedi believed that Anakin Skywalker was destined to defeat the Emperor. See the resemblence? The Jedi Knight in the old republic is said to be the one to defeat the Emperor? And Anakin Skywalker was chosen to defeat the Emperor? So, do you think that the Jedi Knight in the old republic is the ancestor of Anakin? If not, could he/she create the story of the chosen one?

Listen. I know that you guys are having a rough time playing this game becasue of those blasted immperials on illum, but if you don't want to fight and you still want to leave this game, fine. you can go, but i am not going to give up on SWTOR. I am not level 50, but i know that when i do reach level 50, i will always play this game, because there is always someone who will think of this as the best game in the world, no matter what happens. We should not complain. We should just play the game and have fun, maybe leave illum for a while, just relax and take our minds off the empire outnumbering us. Just remember that if the empire wins, we can still enjoy this game, not hate it.

so........why are you not fighting? you know that the problem isn't bioware's fault! Bioware does NOT favour the empire! they just made a mistake, that's all! they will fix it and i want to try and fight back for illum! And you guys are just abandoning everything because your all afraid to lose? We have no fear! We are the republic! We must stand at least once against the empire and stop leaving this game! please! stand strong! work together! we must be united to win! please give bioware a chance and fight back!

I herad that loads of you level 50 republic guys stopped doing pvp so you could advance your story. Well, if that is true, then COME BACK! The republic is outnumbered at illum! WE want THOUSANDS of level 50's to come to illum and pwn that empire! Level 50! level 50! level 50! We need loads of them to come back! strike at the empire! army vs army! The empire has been killing us again and again because there are massive numbers of them! we need to show them what it is like to be pwnd by an army and show them the real power of TEAMWORK! Anyone who does wanna join the republic army, please try your best to get as many level 50's as you can to destroy the empire and take back illum!

Wait, you mean that the republic beat the empire?! But how did they do that? I thought the republic was outnumbered by the empire!
