  1. yep. Sage/Sorc healer wont heal through the focus and dps sage/sorc is lost immediately. Hell, I even encourage my teammates to focus them first if I see poor fellow colleague on the other side. its usually like this : pull, stun, death and then I feel sorry for those in my group. The second round is exactly the same, so lets say 2 times 30 secs of fight tops. I have yet to try the group ranked because our 4th member was out last week but the solo ranked is just a stupid joke. I have noticed the drop of other specs in it too, so its usually 4 dps vs 4 dps in which clothies hand to hand with mercs are simply lacking the survivability.

Wouldn't say 'sub optimal' it does produce less DPS than pure lighting or pure madness but is more bursty than any of those due to the fact that lighting strike shot through wrath is comparable to thundering blast and is instant. When combined with 4 assassin armorings for 3 charges of recklesness under polarity shift, it creates huge issue for all healers as their subjects are suddenly in the execute HP level pools. Why would you choose 2% of crit instead of electric bindings is something I do not understand.
  3. Precisely, no one ever said that the empire is eternal. In my view the structure of the empire is only good for each and every sith if he/she is at the peak of its power (emperor) or on the way to get there. What happens with that structure after death of said individual is irrelevant (at least from his/her perspective). To be a good sith would mean to build up on the idea of the empire (serving others) instead of fueling personal gains. That is as far as I see it impossible when taking the sith code into account.
  4. What is the point in having LSPs when being sith? I understand bounty hunters and agents, these guys could go any way. But the ultimate purpose of the one being Sith is to gain power by any means necessary. Do i need this? I take it. Is he more powerful? I'll manipulate and deceive him and take what's his to gain advantage. Every sith would only look to his own advantage and would not give a damn about the good of Empire. They are bound to serve the Empire because there's somebody stronger than them in the seat of power. I mean was Palpatine looking for a good of the Empire or was he merely looking after his own well being by destroying all opposition by any means necessary? So the only LS choices a sith could make would be those which would temporarily benefit him/her in the clash with others. I would assume that these LS choices when observed from this point of view are not LS at all. So having said that I would say that it should be impossible for sith to embrace a good side unless his mind is wiped clean as in Revan's case. So all you LS lovers, you should transfer to republic and the server balance would be restored and you can eat my smashes in pvp any day You are disgrace of the Sith idea!!!!
  5. Not much mate You can simply try to purchase some crit and accuracy mods/enhancements and try vengeance for a change. Or level another character and send him the warhero equip through legacy gear so he is able and ready when hitting level 50
  6. Oh I am sorry, misunderstanding here. I was not talking about PVE because I PVP solely. With that in mind I can safely state that sorcerer/sage with any DPS perspective is much harder to play than Jugg. I don't really understand what do you mean by 'decent numbers' because in my view these are the frags at the end of WZ. And if I can simply put solo pressure on any healer, so he must start healing himself and not others eventually killing him, that is something sorcerer is not able to do. TTK of rage is much smaller than of any sage/sorc combination therefore for some succesful survining, you would need to kite in order to prolong the fight and that my friend is much harder than the lolsmash nobrainer. As for the healing, PVP medpacs are just fine (8k+ per medpac)
  7. How is rage Jugg difficult to play? I mean ROFL. I played a sorcerer for 10 months and rolled a Rage Jugg in November. What is so difficult in pushing enrage, jump, smash. force crush, ravage, 2x assault, obliterate, smash and vicious throw -> opponent dead? It sure looks complex but a monkey can do that even without banana treat

    If you buffer the ranked comms to max from level 40 and then when you hit level 50, transfer them with the ratio 1:1 to regular comms, you get majority of the warhero equip for your character straight away. Done it myself and did not have any problems with transfer from 1-49 pvp to level 50 pvp

Same here mate:) With the bubbling I finally feel that I can make a difference in the team but having this set back to mezz or any other variant (which is logical because the spell as it is is broken) I am again left with the only choice (which I hate) - full heal. Anything else will be a liability for ranked because there are better DPS classes than sorcerer/
  10. Simple, start Civil war and jump off the ledge to the middle. Have Gosia and Dakaru jump at you from the distance and you're dead in 5 seconds. If you were welll behaved up until christmass and are very very good you can extend the suffering for 6-7 additional seconds and then you die. if you are guarded for the time being that guarding fellow will die with you or shortly after. Dunno about Repz side but I guess that if you're jumed by Kiss and Anhiz, you'll die in similar time sequence. It is beyond me how would your superior DOT attacks help you in above scenario.

    Yeah, was playing the lighting/madness spec since 1.3 until very recently. The usage of lighting strikes is a DPS loss. You are right in that critted lightings could deliver some punch but usually this is somewhere in the vicinity of 900-1300 dmg hence a DPS loss. The chain lighting proc is nice but majority of your critical targets are specced for AOE dmg reduction. So yes, blasting other sorcerers with this specs is fun. When I changed the armorings for assassin ones which gave me cd reduction on recklesness and 3 charges on recklesness, It became fun because less experienced melee chars were quite surprised by the fact that you can dish out 15k dmg in 3 force lightings in 8 seconds. So yes, your 1v1 chances are probably the best of all builds however, if you're not god like with positioning and LOSing (if you are that, you're better off playing other class, where your impact would be even higher), you are unwanted in ranked as you are liability due to light armor and lack of defense. in that any DPSers with brains would jump you in pair and smash you on the spot. dead in 5 seconds and no active play whatsoever. Sorcerer as of now needs some development love to be viable. There is an OP sorcerer spec as of now which is corruption/lighting (up to innervate and backlash) which is virtually unkillable and your presence at ranked games would be welcome but this spec is broken and the stun bubble will be nerfed
  12. Sages/Sorcs don't get good numbers in WZs because they have no means to. There is no burst, only sustained damage. I guess the highest burst would be death field but that is nowhere near the smash. After death field you don't have that much tools to reduce one's HP further down. The figures on WZ scoreboards showing sorcerers damage are lies as every madness sorcerer who's dotting anyone and everyone with affliction knows. The figures in the table looks impressive but the fact which remains is that amount of sustained damage is relatively low when compared to any bursty class. In reality this means that having affliction on everybody would give sorcerer like 25k dmg but each target is hit for 2500HP max over period 16s (or more). That could be easily healed through and people are not really bothered about cleansing it anymore I played the bubble stun spec for the couple of days and I must say I felt the difference I was making in WZs,. This did not happen since 1.2 (unless it was hutball of course). I have to admit that the controlled stunning is way OP and broken. If this was meant to fix sorcerer (by forcing them all to one spec), it was a failure. Bubble would need to be fixed somehow but I would appreciate if they give us something in exchange in terms of buffed DPS. Buff the lighting tree because it is pathetic and buff the lighting strike because its the most pathetic spell sorcerer can use. Or maybe make us use the light saber so we can swing it occasionally for the proc like sins do. Or buff the DOTs so they actually have some meaning
  13. I for one was playing full madness 3/7/31 for a very long time and even though I was having nice numbers on the scoreboard at the end of WZ,, I knew it is a lie. I mean what is a point in spreading affliction over all viable targets when you know that this kind of casting is not going to kill anyone. I changed the build to a variant of this 'death lighting)' thingie a couple of weeks ago and I must say, I have burst I never had before. I immediately got used to shooting lighting strikes whenever possible through wrath instead of crushing darkness. The problem with crushing darkness is that it could be cleansed so apart from the initial nice damage and 1 or maybe 2 additional ticks, it is over. Lighting strikes on the other hand with the 30% chance of creating additional arc which deals 30% dmg can easily out damage crushing darkness, with crits this is even more interesting. The chance for CL to proc seems low but I am usually shooting CLs like mad man. Considering the crowd control (door at voidstar or defending a node at civil var), using recklesness then pop forcestorm which then gives me the CL proc is not bad at all and gives you chance to seriously reduce the HPs of all targets in the vicinity. True, I don't have such high damage numbers on the scoreboard but I am still able to get around 300k dmg, with much higher survivability thanks to going deep into lighting and if everything procs perfectly I can melt anyone please forgive me for english used I am not a native speaker

    Cheat detection

    I see your point, I saw however door being capped by an invisible guy twice yesterday. Like literally I was staring at the door and the explosives were placed without anyone in sight. This doesn't look like an exploit to me and it doesn't help the popularity of PVP on low pop severs
  15. Yes, however with champions mods not present anymore, this could get quite messy on imperium side as the possibilities of modding the BM gear is somewhat limited and could only be mitigated by grinding and remodding of WH gear = very very long grinding
  16. Well, it is Monday, and I have yet to finish the daily and weekly from last Tuesday due the fact that I played only 6 PVPs this week with absurd waiting times. 3 of them were like 5 against 8. One included a cheater who was capping door when invisible and only 2 were actually ok..... So with this rate if am really really good, I'll get re-modded warhero gear in 2 years What an expectation to look forward to )))))
  17. The impact of alacrity on channeled spells is minimal. Alacrity being on almost all pieces of ware hero equip instead of something usefull (surge/crit/power) is beyond me

  19. I agree with OP. Full madness is a way to go or at least when I respecced for it, it did surprise me how many people around me suddenly die. I was originally very sad about the state of sorcerers but I am not anymore, I'll just work my *** off to get the modified war hero gear for critical / surge and be happy with it. I am not shooting heals like I did before. But DPS wise it is as good as ever
  20. Well it is truth that we are very squishy now, but damage wise, I do not see a problem. I am always at the top 3 damage dealers of the PVP and I don't even play the spec with force lighting ticking twice as fast but full madness. Crushing darkness is hitting very very hard and if its buffed up by high critical chance (instead of the stupid alacrity) it makes it rather unpleasant for the victims.

    I just lost a pvp where there were 2 of us (imps) versus full 8 rep premade. What am I supposed to achieve in this? I mean apart from dying peacufully at the scoreline? Since I play on a low pop server and since I wanted to get the max from BM gear, all was modified (playing sorcerer) for surge/crit. I must say I was looking forward to a new tier of equip as this would up the ante even further. But what a surprise! I got slaughtered in the pvp like a scarred old nun on vacation. Since mods were not modified with expertise (I know, I should have modified them prior) I was just able to heroically jump into the turmoil and die instantly I was never about the criticising other classes or anything but I got pawned 6 times today in about 5-6 second by various melee characters which were not messing with their BM gear as I did. What am I supposed to do in such encounter? Force speed to fire pit to make it easier for them even further? As it stands, there is no way for me to even try to replicate the equip I had prior to 1.2 patch as those recruit thingies cannot be taken out. So if I want to reduce the squishiness I need to stick with absolutely pointless alacrity. Since the only spell with activation I cast was dark infusion (useless now), it will definitely give me an edge over the others. nice I will probably have to save a lot so I can try to go for the same model with war hero equip but since the rewarding has been somehow modified, I do not really see how could it be achieved as there are like 2 groups of premades on reps side and similar situation on imp side on Bao Dur. I'd say that the move from geared to max (for which I spent months to achieve) to critically undergeared in this case is too brutal. You can all disagree and you can call me whiner but this is how I see it
