  1. Premade vs premades = yes good idea medals for participation = **** no. The only team that should get anything at all, is the team that wins. Want rewards? Try harder.
  2. What you don't realize. The people that leave are usually responsible for the team losing in the first place. Sometimes those responsible need an extra push, kick, shove to get them to quit in the form of trolling them until they rage and log, but the point stands. Good players contribute to their team, and don't even consider leaving because it would make their efforts thus far worthless and a waste of time. I've played a civil war once where we cycled through about 18 people in the span of a few minutes. We were losing really bad. But with every batch that came in, got *****, and left, we gained a couple really good players. We were down by so much that only a three cap would let us win. They had over 300 points. We had a couple good healers come in and **** got turned around FAST We three capped and held to win. I've made it a habit to look for bad players and troll them into quitting. Since I can't personally kill them due to game restrictions that is the next best option.
  3. Being hated by everyone. Hating everyone. Discuss. --in before trolls and flames "who are you" "you mad" "You bad" "I killed you once! (with a party, ops group, when you had 10% hp and I had 100% hp, etc) "no one cares" "*crickets*"
  4. I enjoy pvp, I just hate being the focus target round after round. It's cool being hated and all but when you're own faction hates you to it gets old.
  5. I killed everyone in all of the pve bases on ilum for about 4 hours. At one point it was 1v8 and I had guards on me. I was rolling my tank sin build with healing companion destroying everyone. Eventually the zone was EMPTY. They gave up and logged/went somewhere else. Not sure If I got reported but the guards were working as intended. It's difficult to get in to bases sometimes but not impossible, and it only takes 1 player paying attention to aggro multiple champs on you since they have a huge radius.
  6. I hope more 'hardcore pvpers' roll/reroll republic. I need a challenge.
  7. I chose Empire because even when I watched the movies I secretly wanted the empire to win. I've always been a hardcore pvper, all about crushing people because they are bad, weak, cowards, or refuse to fight. Playing empire has been enjoyable as they are all about that both in storyline and in gameplay. I tried playing a jedi consular and found myself going darkside but hated the storyline. I didn't really care for my master, and her easy going attitude made me want Lord Zash back. The sith inquisitor storyline ended up with me being hated by my enemies (both republic and imperial) and feared by my allies. The exact type of atmosphere I foster in any pvp game I play. The sith warrior storyline has seen me killing cowards and those who would dishonor me while recruiting the honorable/brave ones to my cause. Again a trait that I possess anytime I've pvp'd (in other mmos it was common for me to try and recruit people to reroll to my faction if they were good at pvp)] So there you have it. Republic comes off as a bunch of cowards and sissies while the empire comes off as strong. In terms of lore though, the republic is best seen as a force to be reckoned with, they help each other, etc, while the empire suffers internal strife due to large power grabs while fighting a war of attrition against the republic.
  8. I cancelled my sub today without reading this news... luckily it has 14 days left on it, which is plenty of time to see how this progresses and reactivate. Although my reasons for leaving the game aren't game related, any attempt to make the game more skill based is a huge plus in my book.
  9. How do you eat? I used to be hardcore a long time ago until I turned 18 and ran into the brick wall called a full time job and rent.
  10. I'm sorry but I'm a fan of both. I didn't start using space bar until I hit dailies at 50 or to skip the repetitive alien languages. It's great for immersion and it gives the game a mass effect feel. SWTOR to me plays like a single player game in terms of storyline quality and a mmo for everything else. Having seen how much of a difference the dialogue and choices makes, I have difficulty even thinking about playing a game with regular quest text boxes. Where are the choices anyway? In swtor I can choose who I fight, how I fight, why I fight, or to not fight at all. You can fight or avoid fights through conversation alone multiple ways. You can change your entire story with a single conversation choice. The immersion is something you must not be able to appreciate yet. Play a couple characters to 50 and you will understand.
  11. I eat sorcs with every other class that I've played. The people complaining are BAD. I've also played a sorc and eaten everyone else. Again, BAD. The classes are extremely close to being balanced but unless you are a good player and have experience playing most or all of them, you wouldn't know that. You see from my perspective every class other than the one I'm playing at that very moment appears under powered. But I've played those classes enough to know that It's no different. It's players themselves that are lacking. Congrats on being faceless cannon fodder. How to fight a sorc 1v1: Start with a low resolve stun or a slow. Some sorcs will waste their cc break to run away. Beat on them When they try to cast a heal, knock them back beat on them they will usually start running by now when they stop to heal again, interrupt them beat on them some more when they are near death <35% hp, use your long stun or a short stun on them and kill them. If you cannot kill a player with 16,000 hp within about 15 seconds, then imbalance isn't your problem, your gear sucks, or they are getting heals from someone else. Stop asking for classes to be nerfed just because you got killed by a player that is more skilled than you. Admit it that you aren't the best and probably never will be. PVP isn't a game where everyone wins. Side Note: I will either be flamed or ignored but damn kids these days can't handle not being told they are special or the best. Welcome to a glimpse of the real world through a video game. You aren't the best, you aren't even average. Justify your existence or die.
  12. I find my droid quite useful. Especially when he offers me a glass of Alderaan Ruge. Could you imagine if I couldn't drink it anymore? Why I'd go on a rampage... *nervous chuckle*
