  1. Got to play the game today without any issues. So I made a point of repeating all the various things I did in the game over the weekend, and as I said no issues. Which invites the question, what did Bioware do over the weekend that caused these issues.
  2. After checking all drivers were up to date and verifying local files, tried again to play this game. Logged into the game again on Darth Malgus. Immediately disconnected. Re-joined the server and then joined a random FP. On the conclusion of the first boss fight, I was again disconnected. That was about 20 minutes after the first disconnection. May try again sometime next week . Meanwhile, and not trying to be melodramatic I will see when my subscription expires.
  3. Like many I have suffered random crashes over the past couple of weeks, at most once a day but not every day. However, today in the space of less then half an hour I have had 3 CTD. here are the details Playing via Steam on Darth Malgus server. Logged into the game, was transferring some gear from Character to personal inventory when it disconnected from server, the character was on 'Fleet' at the time. Logged back into the game and shortly afterwards logged into another character, when I attempted to transfer that character to my Nar Shadda stronghold, the game crashed. Logged back into the character, transferred to stronghold and then exited to Nar Shadda. Started conversation with Shadow Syndicate rep, part way through crashed again. Edit: Came back to the game 3 hours later. Logged into game and it immediately crashed. Then froze whilst transferring from Nar Shadda to Fleet after 10 minutes. Then disconnected again whilst in a flash point 5 minutes after that. Then repeatedly froze before disconnecting again within minutes of same flash point. Game is unplayable.
  4. I have no issue with the concept, but unfortunately it only seems to work in respect of disciplines within the same combat style. It seems that one cannot successfully select a discipline of the alternative combat style.
  5. It's a genuine question, surely someone must know the answer.
  6. Can someone please clarify the following. Whilst a character is in a particular combat style, I can select any of that style's disciplines for my loot drop. However, although presented with the choice of 6 loot disciplines, I cannot successfully select a loot drop for a discipline of another combat style. Is this working as intended? Many thanks.
  7. Or perhaps alternatively have each mode of play capped as is currently the case with PvP. For example if someone with 330 gears plays Conquest it is capped at 326, similarly if doing a SM Op or flashpoints. That way if people they want grind for the 330 gear they can, without this current divisive system inflicted upon us.
  8. Thanks for the replies, any other observations are also welcome. I too did not think there were any logical reasons besides going down the forcing you to grind route response.
  9. I can be as cynical as the next person, but in order to be fair could someone please the following. Why do the different sets of gear, such as Noble and Tionese, etc. have different stats on the same piece,?Whilst I can understand that possibly the PvP gear would have different a different composition I do not understand why the others should be. Many thanks.
  10. Thanks for the replies, I had forgotten about Shae Vizla's armour and will check out the Mod Vendor suggestion. Likewise I will avoid the Remnant armour.
  11. Thanks for the reply, but I have found that just because a chest piece looks like it has a jetpack it does not always have the corresponding animation, hence the question. I will certainly look into the Havoc Squad though.
  12. In most cases when Rocket Boost is activated the effect is shown on the soles of the feet. However, I am aware of four armour sets where the chest pieces show the rocket boost effect on the character's back. These are: Rohlan Dyre's Manadalorian Stormbringer's Dune Stalker Headhunter's Boddy Does anyone know if there are anymore such armour sets? Many thanks.
  13. I'm beginning to suspect that it has not been properly explained and that nobody knows. Perhaps this might be part of the problem with all bugs surrounding gear drops?
  14. Whilst we are all aware of the numerous bugs in the new system of gear drops, I am trying to ascertain how this new system is suppose to work. I understand that the level of gear that drops from whatever source should at least be the current level of the character. For the purpose of this thread we will use the following example: A character that has Mercenary and Gunslinger as Combat Styles The character has a Mercenary gear level of 326 and a Gunslinger gear level of 322. 1. If the character has the Mercenary combat style selected is it suppose to be able to have one of the Gunslinger classes selected for loot drops, i.e. Saboteur, Dirty Fighting or Sharpshooter? 2. If the answer to question 1. is yes, what is the minimum gear level drop suppose to be? 3. If the answer to 1. is no, is the character suppose to be able to select any class within its current Combat Style, i.e if currently playing a Mercenary Arsenal style can it have Bodyguard or Innovative Ordnance selected as a legitimate choice? Many thanks.
  15. I see that Bioware are just deleting individual bug reports and grouping them all together here. I would like to see an official explanation as to why that is happening, as it could be interpreted in a number of ways.
  16. Despite the claim that it was fixed on the 16th, characters logging in since the 7.0 update are still not receiving the initial 153 and 156 containers.
  17. When I open a Decurion Noble Gear Container is disappears and no gear is received.
  18. Thanks for the reply, hope so. However, so far nothing turned up with today's reset.
  19. Is the following a bug, or working as intended? I logged in a pre-existing level 75, 306 gear Gunslinger. I then immediately chose Mercenary as the second class. Once back on fleet I set my loot discipline to Arsenal, one of the Mercenary options. I switched from Gunslinger to Mercenary. I opened up my inventory to discover that there were none of those new initial 153 and 156 cases. Even when changing back to my original class the cases have not appeared. Also, it seems that I can only set my loot to the specific advance combat style that my character is currently on. Have any you also encountered these or similar issues? Many thanks.
  20. Found the cause of the concern in the initial post and added an edit to help anyone else who might have the same issue.
  21. So, by implication that is the only way and there is no gear between those levels.
  22. Some advice please. How is a player suppose to improve a character's gear level, when that character is between level 76-79? Is it solely through Ops? I ask as I have a character that has completed its 100K conquest, and flash points (that for some reason did not update the weekly), and all I get is gear that is subpar of my current level of 306 along with mods, etc. again obviously subpar. Meanwhile I am nearly exceeding my tech fragments maximum with nothing to purchase that improves the situation. Many thanks. EDIT: I have discovered the issue. When starting a pre-existing character in 7.0, the game deletes the loot preference and it needs to be reset. Would have helped if Bioware had told us this.
  23. To answer your question, only subscribers will be able to swap between combat styles. A FTP player will only have one combat style per character. To ensure that you have the preferred combat style for when you go to FTP, make sure the last time you play that character as a subscriber, you log out with whichever combat style you are going to want to use as FTP. It does not matter if it was your first or second combat style choice, just what is last activated. I hope that helps.
  24. I see your point about the force users having the same weapon regardless of alignment. But that then raises the question as to why initially the tech classes were told they would be able to choose a combat style that uses a different weapon, yet the force users were restricted to just mirror combat styles that used the same weapon. It would seem to suggest that right at the beginning there was doubt about what could be achieved. This is perhaps a 'can of worms' that is never going to be answered unless Bioware were to clearly state what exactly are the 'technical issues'; to date the assumption is that this refers to coding. However, I doubt many here would expect such transparency.
