  1. Yeah I can see how Cybertechs might get the shaft from this but every time I check the GTN for mods and armorings, theres only a few if any at all, and of course the prices are crazy high. And you only earn enough planetary comms to fully upgrade yourself once every several levels.
  2. This is just me, but I'd actually like to see Makeb style travel everywhere. Yeah it's nice and scenic the first few times but I'd prefer to get where I'm going quickly. Key word is 'option' here.
  3. swtonewbie - the Chinese are famous for their English translations of public signs, billboards, etc. I'd love to see the memes that would come from the Chinese trying to translate an English translation of Wookie...
  4. I mentioned this in a thread of my own a few days ago along with some other suggestions. This idea should've been implemented at game launch since they already has paid respecs with credits and Field Respec with the legacy system.
  5. For those of us that like to level alts, how about some Legacy mods you can buy with commendations? Stats can be somewhere between Premium and Prototype so they're not too crappy and not too awesome either. No xp, legacy or rep bonuses for them and have them stop leveling with you at 50 I guess.
  6. I guess a loose point I'm making here is that SW:TOR should have learned some lessons from a wildly popular MMO that raised the bar in standards. We can debate all day how important some of these things are but it really just boils down to personal preference. The option should be there and if it doesn't fit your preferences, click the 'Off' button. It doesn't matter how long it took WoW to stop dragging their feet because SW:TOR devs should've paid attention right from the start. It's totally OK to borrow good ideas from other sources...that's a life lesson even, lol. Thanks for heads up on moxx parser though, appreciate it.
  7. If there's a technical or programming reason for them I could accept that and be fine with it. But the only orbital station I remember having any significant use with the story was the Makeb station and even that only lasted 5min. The rest were just to talk to the guy near the shuttle so he could tell you to talk to another guy on the surface. The other stations that were actually related to your class missions were unrelated to the planets and you never went back to them. Just wondering why I can go from the surface straight to my ship, but not straight to the surface from my ship. Remember traveling between Section X, Black Hole and Belsavis?
  8. I'm sure this has come up before and I don't ever cruise the forums so I apologize. And to be clear...IM NOT ASKING TO ALLOW ADDONS FOR SWTOR...least not the way WoW did it. That being said, there were a few addons from WoW that were immensely useful and wondered how I ever played the game without them. WoW actually took notice of some of the addons and implemented them into the game itself. 1. An equipment manager/auto-switch - this should've been implemented at the same time Field Respec was introduced into the Legacy perks. Probably should've just did a copy/paste of WoW's dual-spec & gear switch system. And probably should've had this at game launch. 2. Going to get flamed for this but Recount was useful for a lot of people and not just for stroking ego's. When I play, I want to play well and Recount helped me decide if I needed more of this stat or that stat. All anti-addon folks love to scream how bad Recount was for the game but in my opinion, it made me a better player. It also shed light on the lazy players trying to be carried and score HUGE upgrades with little effort. 3. A better, more customizable UI - Please take a look at the Domino's or Bartender addons if you do consider revamping TOR UI. At first, TOR UI is really cool looking but when you start getting more abilities and doing more intense game play, less is more. Player frames and quickbars, especially the Main Quickbar, needs to be leaner. My personal beef with the current UI is the Player Frames. Would be super if I could change the dimensions of the health/energy bars without making the player portraits grow exponentially along with it. The buffs/debuffs also need to be customizable on player/enemy frames. It's hard to tell if you need to refresh dots/hots on a target when many of the icons for them look exactly like yours. 4. MiksScrollingBattleText - I cannot stress enough how awesome this is and to be honest, TOR's floating text is horrible. This addon created separate frames for floating text that were totally customizable. 5. I forget the name of the addon but it was something even WoW had implemented into its game and made me scratch my head as to why I never had this from the start. When one of your character abilities had a proc, the addon would play a specific sound and/or flash a small graphic above your character, letting you know the procced ability was ready.
  9. Or at least the option to not use one and just head straight to the planet. The first few times they were cool looking, but now have become an annoying pit stop. The Makeb Orbital Station was useful as a mini-fleet like station with a GTN, some trainers, and vendors but why not just put all that in Makeb starting area with the other half of useful trainers and vendors?
