  1. Nah, people are quitting. If what you said were true, we'd have to have a huge low level population in excess of the launch pop for there to be little to no L50s and a horde of alts.

Instead, what we're seeing is a vastly shrinking low level planet pop and a barren high-level pop.

Saturday night, CST prime time... PvP queues in the 50 bracket were popping on my server (rated heavy) at around 2.5 hours. I know this because I watched Moneyball and got interrupted once at the end with the first pop >.<

Well, since this game still has a million subs they must be somewhere.

Also, the PC requirements are a bit high, I was offline for over two weeks after getting frustrated by the low FPS, until I got a new machine. Others have more than likely hit the same barrier but not as eager to upgrade.

  2. I played WoW religiously ever since Cataclysm came out.

WoW sucks. The only reason behind its success is that it's easily accessible. Mediocre, but accessible by everyone. I can't express how glad I am for SWTOR.

Finally, an MMO that can be enjoyed as a GAME in its own right, not as a mindless chore or alternative to social life.

Check out the thread in my sig.

  3. I agree. Although I was annoyed with SWTOR not running smoothly even on 1024x768 on the lowest settings just a week ago, I'm glad it's graphically intensive enough to warrant the purchase of the new computer I just got :D cause the game looks AWESOME maxed out!

whereas WoW looks like it's still 2004.. >_>

  4. What BioWare really needs to do is simply scrap the whole "world" buffer system and simply present players with a menu of all the Flashpoints and quests and raids in a single list upon login, like this:

Login >> Choose Character >> A short cinematic of a droid asking you, Greetings Master, What would you like to do today?

    • Equipment Upgrade, Auctions, and Mail
    • Missions
    • Flashpoints
    • Operations
    • PvP
    • Space Battle
    • Back to Character Selection

All of these choices will expand to further lists, obviously. This would fix everything so well WoW will imitate it in Pandaria (along with rest of the stuff they're gonna be copying from TOR, like area-looting.) Why even bother with the world at all? such a waste of time. srsly bro

EDIT: on 2nd thought, scrap the time-consuming droid cinematic, waste of a skip keypress. just throw us straight into the menu upon login.

  5. They should just scrap the whole "world" system and simply present players with a menu of all the Flashpoints and quests and raids in a single list upon login, like this:

Login >> Choose Character >> A short cinematic of a droid asking you, Greetings Master, What would you like to do today?

    • Vendor
    • Auction House
    • Mail
    • Missions [expands to another list]
    • Flashpoints [expands to another list]
    • Operations [expands to another list]
    • PvP [expands to another list]
    • Space Battle [expands to another list]
    • Back to Character Selection

Seriously. This would fix everything. Why even bother with the world at all? such a waste of time.

  6. I'd been playing since Early Access and had subbed for 3 months but somehow they billed me for only 1. oh well. I'll resub for 3 at a time again starting next month.

2 of my RL friends from WoW made the jump as well and a 3rd was considering it but unable to make the switch because of his guild and Blizzard's sneaky "Annual Pass" commitment >_>

  7. Fact: Republic was never the Good Guys.

In fact it was the Jedi's relentless persecution of the "Dark" offshoot of their religion that's led to this entire mess for hundreds of millennia, not unlike how Earth religions treat their spin-offs.

Surely they could've found some way to accommodate Ajunta Pall and his philosophies.

Even when playing TOR on Alderaan you may quickly come to agree that Palpatine's Empire nuking it was a good idea.

  8. When I logged in today now that everyone is paying I saw that my Republic fleet was

I saw that my Republic fleet was

    Republic fleet was

    Republic

    Real men play Empire.

Also, real men don't complain about the ginourmous lag on Imperial fleets at prime time.

  9. About as hard as it would be for you to slightly modify any given random name.
Take mine for example. I clearly wanted to pay homage to my idol, and Revan was clearly already taken on just about every server.

so were Revann, Revvan, Rrevan, and you get the idea, but somehow Wrevan wasn't lol so yeah, feel free to add a letter here and there to a random name. Probably take less time than counting them all and making a thread about it :p

  10. I've attached my PC to my amplifier via a optic cable, the sound quality is great and I can't complain apart from one fact......... I can't turn effects off.. it has to be played in 'warehouse / church hall' etc When I try to play it in normal, or prologic enchanced I get no sound.

Any ideas internet? Would be much appreicated

Windows Playback Devices > Enhancements > Disable all enhancements?

or try HDMI instead of S/PDIF <random
