  1. Best possible single target dps imo. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#101cMZIGMR0hddZGd0Mz.1 Traded obliterate for shatter and picked up battle cry for extra synergy.
  2. He's useful and he gets the job done. He never fails (talking about the character itself, not his actual combat behaviour ). You don't have to like him as a person, just use him for his talents (which is all he really cares about).
  3. Because they can just wait 4 seconds to CC you and bugger off (unles they're really, really bad). If they are assassins its very possible they'll just speed away and break your snare in the process, PTs can break it every 30s and get a speed-boost, mercs can punt and snare you, etc, etc, etc. An equally good healer can heal themselves with impunity. If they are locked down with CC they ain't gonna be doing any of those things. Vengeance relies on people standing there and being too bad to defend themselves. Immortal lets you take control.
  4. You loose DPS when people get away from you because you have no real CC to speak of. Simple as that. Happens all the time as Vengeance. I run with immortal personally as I run with people on vent and the CC, snare and lower cool down on the AOE taunt helps the team more. I think I do enough damage to get by.
  5. Why did you list the 20% finisher (I assume that's what you mean) as a reason for vengeance being better? Everyone has it. Immortal has better CC, that's for sure. Can't count the number of times I've saved a team-mate or destroyed the ball carrier with it. You CAN kill people in immortal just as well as you can in vengeance, but you have to use your CC. I trust my CC and its ability to lock someone down killing someone over impale and the chance of a scream crit.
  6. "Our mission is not to bring death to all those unfit to live. We answer to a greater calling (...) As servants of the Dark Side we revel in the vanquishing of our enemies. We draw power from their suffering, but we must balance this against greater gains. We must recognize that killing for sadistic pleasure - killing without reason, need or purpose - is the act of a fool." Pretty much how my SW lives. He is full DS but did not once do anything I would consider "psychotic". Choices usually go like this, from good, to bad to ugly. "I expect to be taken prisoner and treated fairly as agreed under the treaty of Corisant!" 1. I will let you live [LS: 100] 2. No. You are my enemy, die [DS 50] 3. I will kill you and drink your blood [DS 100]
  7. I would have thought ravages tendency to bug out and effectively become a 3 second+ stun would be enough to put people off it. At least in PvP. Ain't worth the risk in serious fights imo.
  8. I know what you mean, I often think that way too. But I try to decide based on how much enjoyment someone will get out of it vs my enjoyment. The thing is that Sniper would probably enjoy and appreciate it a whole lot more than you having it on Quinn, right? I mean, come on. Its just 5 points of healing lost, really. We all need to think about how other peeps feel, instead of knee jerk material gain NOW NOW NOW.
  9. I think it's a bit selfish to think that your companion can make better use of that Columi chestpiece than that lvl 50 agent can.
  10. I would have liked the option to shock Vette. 1. You will live, barely... 2. I can be forgiving 3. I understand 4. Eat lighting Noodle-head! [shock Vette] It doesn't have to make sense.
