  1. When this happens, I'll come back and have a look. One too many "soon"s for me as it is. I have more useful stuff to do.
  2. I agree. Disparity in effectiveness caused by gear only hurts PvP. I think PvP shouldn't take stats into account and just even it all out, giving everyone a chance to have fun and contribute without grinding the dust for a week. I am personally more motivated by fluff and cosmetic stuff. Customization options and convenience features are a great carrot for gamers to keep grinding. Difference is you could have fun while doing it.
  3. I also want to add a few more things I'd like: -Font-sizes being separate from global UI scale. I like my UI to be small and not take up much space, but I find being able to read the texts is pretty useful as well. I'd rather not having to choose. -Selecting hotkey bars you want to fade out when out of combat. -Quest-tracker hiding quests that are on other planets than the one you're currently on and using different colors for different types (daily repeatables, weekly repeatables, class, planet, side- and bonusquests) and an indicator of lowest recommended level to finish relative to your level (like +2, -5, -1, etc). Fluff: -Some time in the future, I'd like to have the world/area map be rendered in 3D (like a holoprojection from the movies), seeing as it's pretty hard to read in its current form. It would also be AWESOME and should of course be toggle-able for those not willing to waste their computer power on it. The minimap could work like some sort of 3D radar model of the area around you and I'd rather it would actually look like a holodevice projecting the model like the holocom you use for quests. I do have a lot to say, but I don't have time for it now.
  4. On my Merc, when I fire a Power Shot and immediately hit Railshot when PS finishes casting (just in case it comes off CD from proc) the GCD will go off EVERY TIME no matter if Railshot was even off its CD or not. It's not just a visual thing either, I really have to wait out the whole 1.5 seconds of the GCD before I can do anything again. If I must, I can post a video to prove it, but I don't think I should have to bother with it, as it's such a replicable bug. I'm sure it's not just for Mercs.
  5. I'm gonna go ahead and support this topic. I'm sure I have a lot of ideas to contribute with when I'm not tired Legacy is the future for SWTOR, I think. That, 3D Space Combat and Pod Racing.
  6. Yes. I'm done with my class story all together.
  7. Sure. I cut it short and I'm uploading a video of me searching the ship as well. Story-moment: http://youtu.be/yK-GsfMrRj4 Ship-search: http://youtu.be/XCIPYtqSUYQ
  8. In a game where almost everyone has an alt. character, end-gamers at any given time sitting in fleet is not a very reliable way of measuring population. I spend maybe 10% or less time on the fleet while playing and I have 2 50's. I do dailies and queue for PvP regularly on my 50's, but mostly play my sub-50's doing quests on other planets and trying to get a group for a FP once in a while. I only stay in fleet when crafting or browsing the GTN, which is about once a day for maybe 15-90 mins tops and popping in and out of WZ's at the same time. My server usually have around 60-90 people on at peak times nowadays, down from about 90-160 a few weeks ago. While FP's are usually a bit hard to find groups for, PvP and heroics are rarely an issue. But then, I'm not very concerned with having hundreds of people everywhere as I solo a lot, mainly during off-peak times. I like my stories and solo-queues for PvP.
  9. I want appearance customization for the UI. I can waste hours and hours modding my UI with different styles, colors and set-ups, if you would just let me. The blue gets old, you know. It doesn't even look very Star Wars. Edit: I also want to see my procs more clearly. You know what I hate most about MMO's (except for the gear-based PvP)? It's the fact that you miss out on all the cool combat scenes going on because you have to keep an eye on the bars to see if something useful is off cooldown, if something procs, if I got interrupted or not, what my health is and what debuffs and buffs I have on me. So much for choreographed combat. Guess I could capture video footage and watch the visuals after the fighting is over... I know you want us to keep our eyes on the action, since you try creating visual cues for procs - but how can I tell if my barrels glow red when my whole character is flashing of different colors like a freaking disco-ball from all other effects in the game?! Tone down the prevalence of ability effects. I never once saw a character glow of green, gold or red when they used any tech or Force power in the movies. MMO's don't need effects to be visually pleasing. WoW does it because they lack all other visual aspects.
  10. That pretty much sums up the main down-sides of this type of game. Somehow RPG = time -> +stats = skills instead of talent + experience/practice + intelligence = skill Ok, maybe there is some of the latter involved in the first, but it doesn't matter enough , IMHO.
  11. Noticed this, too.. It really is gamebreaking and BW should consider an emergency-patch. Or do they only do that when something happens to a FotM-class?
  12. Cover Fire for Commando is passive.. I'm talking about the KEYBIND in the preference menu where you can bind Cover Fire to a key, just like with Take Cover, etc. I'm not talking about a talent or an ability per say, but a mechanic that is supposedly supposed to exist, seeing as it's right there with Take Cover in the preference menu.
  13. "Let's do this" does that to me. I so wanna have my female smuggler romance her.
  14. What's the point of this keybind/"ability"? I'm just curious.
  15. I'm pretty sure I recruited him, but I never had him on my ship in the first place and I still don't. Edit: I just confirmed I chose to recruit him to my ship. I capture all my class stories on video.
  16. I try not to think about it. I've gone through hell at times because I'm actually interested in physics. I mean.. sound in space for starters? How did George Lucas figure sound in space was a good idea? If I was making a movie, no matter how much fantasy it's supposed to be, I'd freaking read up on the setting... It's as stupid as having square-shaped submarines zooming around in the ocean at the speed of sound. Who does that? Anyway.. yeah, I try not to think too much about it...
  17. About one mil total across all characters. I'm usually broke because I like customization, which is apparently something that needs penalized in this game. The reason I just got to 1 mil is because I just got my second character to 50. Most of my other character are around lvl 40, which is where you are broke because of all the gear and skill upgrades needed. I'll prolly see an increase of my credits now that I spend more time doing dailies. I pretty much gave up PvP when my Merc broke post 1.2.
  18. That's one effective way to sabotage the game. Really, that's brilliant if it's so.
  19. So, basically, it comes down to what John Williams and Lucas(arts) have agreed upon, which I guess is not public knowledge?
  20. I agree that a constant loop would be a bit too repetitive, but there needs to at least be more things that trigger it, like traveling, entering an area, etc.
  21. I agree and I wish they would loop some Ep V tracks in the game, or from any Ep for that matter, you know.. like all other Star Wars games do. Remember playing Jedi Knight in silence or just a couple choruses popping up here and there? No - when I think back of my dear memories of those games I hear the music from all the different gameplay levels and cinematic moments. There was always that constant feel of Star Wars when playing. In this game I'm now and then reminded that this is the same universe as the Star Wars I know, like when watching those rare epic cinematic moments with lightsabers, blasters, epic music and drama (music and drama being the big ones; this game needs more epic music and more emotional conflicts). I haven't heard Duel of the Fates in this game, period. HOW IS THERE A 2012 STAR WARS GAME WITH NO DUEL OF THE FATES?! I don't know much about rights and whatnot, but I'd almost bet something on that John Williams music comes with the IP and isn't separate - provided it's actually produced FOR the IP.
  22. Still don't know what Smuggler Week is/was/means. Crazy people.
  23. lol. Soo... basically none of the vital talents/mechanics of our Arsenal tree are actually working? That's funny, because that would mean Mercs are not only gimped, but completely nonviable in any competitive sense. It's not actually funny.
  24. While BW probably won't ignore their customers who are largely migrated from WoW, I sincerely hope this game takes its own course and aims for something.. more. Know this, BW; the old formula is old and the gaming community craves innovation. Don't mistake gamer's plea for convenience and popular features for being pleas for unoriginal game design.
