  1. One major flaw I see in this. Your balancing cover based on playing against bad players in pvp.

     

    I play against good pvpers, and bads. I came up with these ideas based on how it holds up against both. Bads are free kills but good players can stomp snipers, and we are supposed to be the ranged version of operatives except they are alot harder to kill, deal twice our damage in half the time, and can vanish. Atm Im just waiting for gw2.

  2. Maybe but also Id love to get rid of cover, but it kinda seems to be built in and not going anywhere so why not work with it. I think the ideas I proposed would be good balancing for snipers, we currently have to use our stuns or cc to get away, and if they have a trinket its not very far that we get.

     

    our damage should be higher than any1 else but it isnt, our range should be a bit further than 35m to feel like a sniper, all white damage from mm kinda makes it so we suck against heavy armor, lack of survivability wouldnt be bad if we could escape combat and avoid ppl getting to us. Leg shot is nice but its not enough to keep us from getting pounded by a melee with skill.

  3. First make ballistic dampers last for 10 seconds after leaving cover.

     

    Make cover screen 20% damage reduction for all not just ranged.

     

    Adjust our 31 point talent to maybe affect ambush also?

     

    Give us some escape skills maybe like force cammo, or something that we have to spec into so we dont get crapped on by any1 focusing us.

     

    Also another idea that wouldnt be OP would be a cammo like skill thats passive and any time we arent shooting or moving we are stealthed even during combat, this is a good idea imo that wont make us op but allow us to position and hide without being focused as soon as someone says sniper.

     

    Not op because good players will see where we are shooting from, and go hit us, the passive stealth only works during cover.

  4. Yes ofc the lightside is stronger, good always wins over evil. Wouldnt that explain how dark side always wins? aside from the old republic when the sith destroy the temple and empire beats the republic back and force them to signt a treaty which they didnt have to do. Lets fast forward to the present star wars unniverse where a weakened Palpatine kicks the teeth in of 3 masters and stalemates mace.

     

    Then lets fast forward a bit more where right after he fought those 4, Yoda fights him with full power and not only ties but then goes on to say Palpatine cannot be beaten at the moment...Weakened Palpatine beat a fully powered yoda, and before you say no yoda was weakened with the death of so many jedi, bull ****. First of all the jedi forces weakened not his individual power, if that were the case sith with their rule of 2 and luke wouldnt have been very strong.

     

    Only after the CHOSEN ONE who was created by a SITH LORD had a year of training? make him strong enough to defeat 2 of the strongest sith ever to exist, we all know heros have to win.

     

    And since we are quoting swtor which isnt cannon lets bring in another sith, Galen Marek aka Starkiller, as an apprentice he killed jedi masters with relative ease. Ripped starships out of the sky, and kicked vaders *** on the first try *cough luke skywalker cough*

  5. Ok Im pretty new to sentinel/marauder can any1 not so new give me some thoughts on what spec will be overall more damaging in pvp when 1.2 hits Carnage or annihilation. So far im annihilation and I love it, self heals lots of damage heavy dots. I hear carnage is burstier single target, is carnage like rage spec but single target based or what?
  6. Master strike being uninterruptible is lols. Only baddy guardians sit through the whole 3 seconds of it. The good ones self interrupt it after the first two hits. It doing more damage is also not that great since it's essentially a self-root and that is bad for a melee class. The damage increase will also probably be small.

     

    Our damage is completely fine, what we really needed was more survivability. Focused defense is underwhelming. The tiny baby heal isn't going to help our survivability, and it's not going to be spammable. What we need was a cd reduction on warding call and saber ward to 2 mins.

     

    Also, the 2 sec stun on force leap is TERRIBLE. It will fill target's resolve bar half way, and it's only for 2 sec.

     

    Zephyr also got hella nerfed. Slash is *********** terrible and I almost never use it. The 3 sec reduction to force abilities is FAR FAR better.

     

    Talk when you know what you're talking about. I said master strike after a leap stun, meaning 2 seconds of sitting in it makes sure the last hit hits unless u get stunned, IT CANT BE INTERUPTED. I use it all the time and ruin ppls days when it crts, you just need to learn to play your class and QQ less. Typical baddies, you are my cannon fodder little peon.

  7. Are you guys illiterate? Let me put in perspective a few things, 1 Master strike is getting buffed so more damage on that, more talent point options with swellign winds going into focus, so picture this. Force exhaust, run back and pop adrenal/relic, force leap, stun, Masterstrike during force exhaust. If you get crits thats atleast 50% of someones hp, 4.5-5k sweep after that and you have a dead or very close too dead imp, just dispatch and wipe hands off on their corpse.

     

     

    P.S. Lets not forget how squishy focus guardians are, self heal that can be activated during a stun could mitigate alot of damage so be glad.

No offense but for all you virgins out there who say I play a female toon because I wanna stare at her *** all day and staring at a male toon maeks me feel gay, you're all weirder than you think. Pixels arent real, sorry and before you start saying PSH I HAS ME SOME SEXX 3 TIMES A DAY YOU DA VURGUN, get real we all know you havent touched a woman that wasnt your mother. I play male toons only mainly because Im sexist and cant stand female heros or even playing 1.

     

    Im a man, and I will play a male toon because I like armor looking like a bad ***. I never will nor never have played a female toon. I couldnt care less if a female plays the game or not, I've also yet to find 1 who can match me in pvp or even compete, but I havent met many female gamers that I know of so either way idc about them.

    While I totally agree with with the OP, I don't see it coming at all... it's been such for ages in alot of MMOs, and those who call themselves hardcore PvP'ers won't ever agree to be on par with others.

    And sadly enough, the gamin industry is trying to please those, cause they do all that to get money, not for the fun.

    ps : make em grind Ranking/Comms for a T-Shirt stating "mine's bigger than yours"

     

    Im a hardcore pvper, all I do is pvp and I would always agree to pvp against equally geared opponents because I dont need a crutch to excell at pvp. Peopl who dont wanna fight equally geared ppl are obviously the ppl who are bad at pvp, they need that advantage to feel good about their lack of skill. Id much rather have vanity gear over stat gear.

  10. Give them a different set bonus... maybe give them a very small rating increase. (like 142) Maybe take some time to make the ranked warzone attire look like it was designed by someone with an actual sense of style. (looking at you space cow... and you samurai robot...)

     

    Im assuming space cow and samurai robot is Trooper and Jedi Knight seeing as thats the only retarded looking pvp gear Ive really noticed. Agreed and the new trooper armor I seen in the 1.2 trailer looked amazing so Im hoping that was the pvp armor.

  11. Arenanet got it right with gw1 and gw2, completely skill based game and guess what, it succeded. Im personally waiting for GW2 but to each his own, I hate gear based games but seeing as they dominate the internet atm Im stuck waiting till GW2 comes out. I think new pvp gear they come out with should be cosmetic honestly. Make Bm gear easy to get so ppl fight other ppl with no advantage other than class/skill and let it end with that.

     

    P.S. If you want gear progression go pve, leave pvp to the big boys.

  12. Well u stop sniper at level 1 so you know sniper at level 1. You start saying you want main that is buggy, so a horse and carriage? Or your playstyle is buggy like horse and carriage? Now both hit super hard and you want buggy hit hard super? I can tell both classes to you that they are played. This War Stars game is great fun, yeah? lolol bbq

    Ive also no idea what he said, my sniper is lvl 50 but I havent played him with all the biochem things my guardian has which he now has. Im wanting proffessional sniper opinions. I wont play lethality because it feels alot less like a sniper more like a Operative. Engineer seems interesting but I've no idea how to play it so atm im Marksman. How is MM and Engineer?

  13. Ok Im getting back into my sniper and I want a main, both fit my playstyle both are buggy as **** and both hit super hard. I love melee and super range. Stationary doesnt bother me if the pew pew is high enough. My guardian atm in focus spec crits for round abouts of 5k on undergeared squishies when I pop Adrenal+relic. I stopped sniper to lvl 1 but Ive been missing him.

     

    I know snipers have gotten reamed by BW so can any1 with good pvp sense give me an opinion on which class seems worth playing more atm, and or if sniper is worth playing. Also MM or engineer?

  14. Why doesnt BW just scrap centurion and make it champ and BM only? Cent gear is **** plain and simple. and getting rank 60 valor for BM gear is a bit high also imo, grind wise. I think it should be lowered to 50.
  15. So far I've gotten 16 pvp bags and not 1 piece of gear, how high have you guys gotten before getting a piece of gear? At first I thought I was glitched till I read the notes about it. Its stupid and BW is stupid for coming up with RNG bag system anyways but making it worse was something blizzard would do....soooo disappointed.

     

    I read about someone on my server today going on his 30th bag with only 1 piece of gear. This is rediculous, sure I can get centurion gear but thats barely better than my lvl 49 gear. It wouldnt be so bad if bags didnt cost 200 each, maybe lower it to 100 each since its stupid to cost anything more for extremely low chance at champ gear.

     

    With the rate it drops now Id suggest getting rid of tokens alltogether since ppl will probably be in full champ by the time 2 or more tokens drop which is several weeks of grinding for 4+ hours depending on if you win or not, add that ontop of the valor grind and well...you have a bad game for pvpers.

     

    Anywho Im done iwth my rant, flame on do what ever was just wanting to see how high ppl have gotten with this fail pvp system before getting a piece of gear/unsubbing/or just rerolling and staying in the 1-49 pvp bracket.
