A step in the right direction, but this is not even nearly enough. This game has gone from having a quite good gearing system, to having a absolutely horrid one. So a lot more work needs to be done if you keep insisting on keeping Galactic Command.

Why are people even trying to make the argument: vocal minority vs silent majority? You do realise of course that a lot of people who are negative towards Galactic Command are, you know, not posting about it for various reasons. Without any statistics nothing can really be said or assumed about the silent guys other than that they're.. well, silent. If people wish to promote GC as something amazing. Well, get your people and make them post about it? Presently however, if the forums are of any indication, most is pointing toward GC being a pile of trash in it's curren iteration.

I'm so confused by the Ravage change. Been doing a bit of tanking on jugg, hitting someone and popping Ravage. Thinking usual that I got 2.5 seconds of channel ahead of me. So there I stand, not doing anything. Like a noob.

You do realise of course that all people do not play the game the way you do? Also, just because Bioware's idiocy killed off most progression raiders that means that they should just keep *********** over any that remains and any future potential ones? The point stands that the time commitment required to get your alts to command lvl 300 is ridiculous. This isn't a single character game.

Except there is a fair amount of content that more or less require you to have the best gear to actually be able to do it succesfully? NiM Brontes, Council, Styrak, HM Revan.. What's the point of doing group ranked now, if people like playing more than one character and subsequently splits the time commitment up? One team who focus solely on one character VS a team who play alts. The team with gear advantage will (assuming equal/comparable skill mind you) win the majority of times just because they can dish out a few extra percentages as sheer pressure damage or in burst windows. Group ranked will just become a tool for guildmates to sync up against other guildmates for lols. Solo ranked is just another way to get access to the presently fastest way to get CXP. So any competetiveness there is severely diminished. This system is not alt friendly at all, nor is it very friendly to a person who plays one character either because of the time commitment and lottery.

I can live with the RNG. I'll hate it, but I'll manage. My issue is with how much time it will take to get one character BiS not to mention the rest of your alts. I do both PvE and PvP. Used to do ranked at high level. Now it's retarded because the amount of time you need to put in to actually be able to get the best gear for max performance is just not acceptable. Maybe that's fine for PvE, but for PvP? Hell no.

Even if people come back they're not going to stay when they find that their old server is dead, and only way to get out is paying yet even more real life money for transfers. So no. Server merges need to happen. Preferably quite a while ago. Anything else and you're deluding yourself.
