  1. You've got 30 days of my free play time to fix it... I apologize in advance, I'm long winded, and this is a bit of a rant. Patiently waiting, and hoping new and COOLER stuff would come out, I've been playing this game for 2 things, pvp warzones and my party bomb. I've been around since pre release, so I have a 50 and an almost 50, but I really don't care much for the pve in this game. I dont find companions very rewarding and I really don't care for running on long treks back and forth and back and forth for quests and rewards. I feel too much like a delivery girl (a murderous one at that). It's like some dude says, "I want to make a sandwich, please go to the store and get me some bread." After a long ride in traffic to and from the store, I give him the bread and next he wants some ketchup, so back out to the store I go and return to find out, he needs some cheese, and well you get the point...finally I might get a nice pair of green gloves. And 6000 experience. Yay. Here, you talk to some people then take 10 minutes to go somewhere to kill 16 mobs and click on a large box, and then another 10 minutes back to turn in. Then it's another 10 to 15 minutes to find the next guy. Who ever thought this system up in Wow was an idiot, and people that feel it's a good system to carry over in other games are Wow idiots. Wow...just Wow! I prefer a straight up grind fest to that system anyday. Send me after 500 mobs and dont worry about the box! However, we're not rewarded for grinding here so. I really couldn't be more ticked off about them deleting my party bomb. I don't know who the guy that decided THAT was a good idea is, but I'd seriously like to run him over in the parking lot!! As for the pvp changes, if I'm not in a warzone premade group or if my wz pug doesn't include a healer of some kind, I'm going to die...a lot. I've always stuck around for my pug groups. I'd queue solo most of the time and wouldn't leave my warzone, I'd stick with my group as long as the game didn't straight up boot me! Win or lose. Even if I lost, I'd still get some compensation wz commies, valor & money. Now in 1.2, Bioware screwed me! They made it so I'm penalized strongly for being on the losing side. And way too harshly if I don't get 4 warzone medals. Pugging will often amount to 10 minutes of putting up with a terrible loss and absolutely 0 rewards (if you haven’t seen it, it’s 0 warzone commendations, 0 experience, 0 valor 0 credits). It is tough on many dedicated healers to get 4 medals if your team is rapidly losing because they cant do any real damage and their party isn't racking in kills and objectives. Then also, it's nearly impossible for some squishy classes (like my gunslinger) to get 4 medals at all in a group without any heals. If that wasn't bad enough, they took my party bomb away! I heard some nonsense about how they felt some people didn't want to be forced to dance so they shafted me and didn't just stop the dancing, they killed my party bomb! That thing took me forever to get and all my friends were green with party bomb envy and just WHAT THE HELL?? Whoever that guy is, tell him he’s a straight up JERK! Like 5 people are annoyed with this one super fun feature in the game so it's enough to make you decide you don't want this loyal subscriber anymore? And you should know I am not the only person by a long shot that is seriously miffed about this. Yeah there are 2 new games on the horizon that I'm going to try (no need to mention names as well all know what they are and when they're releasing), one is bound to have recurring monthly player veteran rewards for my recurring monthly player subscription *cough*fail Bioware*cough*. And you know, at one point I was telling friends, no sorry I might not bother with that game because I'm really into SWTOR right now. You gave me 30 days free game time. I’m unsubbing today. Fix it, or I’m gone. Done. And once again to that guy…JERK!!!
  2. This. It took me a helluva lot of trouble and effort to get to Social 10 for the party bomb, (I didn't get to social 10 for a stupid speeder) and all my friends were jealous and wanted Social 10 and now they take my cool Party Bomb AWAY? Why? The 2 reasons i play this game A - Warzones B - Party Bomb The pvp in 1.2 is horribly undesirable as is (if you're not in a premade) so I've quit for a few days to see if it will be fixed, and now my party bomb is just...gone!
  3. I 100% agree with the original poster here. I have been playing WZ since before the game released and always stayed till wz ends if I didn't get booted! Winning or losing, I stuck around for my team. If there's no healer, I'm usually dying too much to get more than 1 or 2 medals (squishy gunslinger). Now I receive no reward for enduring it and sticking around anymore. A wasted 10 minutes and straight 0's for valor, exp & creds... And you can bet I have something pretty you can kiss if you think implementing a penalty for quitting a warzone is going to make me change my "quitter" ways! You start that on top of this nonsense and you can take your WZ and shove it! PVE is ahh...so boring! Guess who's about to unsub
  4. I apologize if this has been posted in the past, I don't ever read the forums! Today I got a letter in email from SWTOR that said Hey Snuff, we love you. Because you're a high level player & a valued subscriber, we're giving you 30 days free game time & a fabulous Tauntaun pet (cool thanks!). This made me remember Aion player rewards. Me along with thousands of other players subscribed to that game faithfully (even during breaks - I took an 8 month break and never cancelled my sub) for the entire time it was Pay to Play, well over 2 years, simply because of the player rewards. (Aion actually just went FTP this month & I wish it hadn't). NCSoft was very good to us! Just for being loyal subs, every single month we received special packages of in game rewards that included things like titles (titles there had tiny stat boosts too) & items we could use that would increase the amount of experience we gained from normal mob killing for an hour, (not that I ever kept subbing for that one) potions that gave full health & mana back instantly (the cd was like an hour & we only received 5 or 10 each month), in game pets, & the big one that we all really kept active for were a couple rare major crowns that we turned in for AP aka Abyss Points (like warzone commies but like 12,000 wz commies instead of 1 or 2k each) of course a piece of level 50 elite PVP gear or weapon in Aion was like 950,000 AP each but I saved up and got a set of my own. The anniversary rewards for 1 and then 2 years were just awesome! Those were big packages that included special anniversary only dance emotes, plus rare wings, dyes for your gear (we liked the black & white of course), special pets that looted drops for us & alerted us when nearby enemies were detected & like 10 crowns. Often there were rewards unnanounced, just handed out for logging on one day. My favorite was an adorable penguin pet that danced and had 12 slots to hold items. I'd still be subbed today if Aion didn't go FTP, I loved player rewards. I may unsub when I try out a new game, and I may stay unsubbed if that game gives out better rewards for my monthly subscription. I don't mean to sound like i'm an unsatisfied player in SWTOR, I'm just like thousands of other players who pay monthly, naturally, we like being rewarded!
  5. Hi I'm snuffy. Everybody on my server knows me. Imps and pubs alike. I'm crazy famous, and arguementatively the most popular person on Darth Bannon. Being that I'm fun and thoughtful and sweet, nobody usually has anything bad to say about me, except that I have a higher valor count than anybody and everybody else and some begrudge it. The No Valor Gained msg was a change implemented by the devs, to discourage us from killing large amounts of the opposing faction all at once ie: kill trading. It doesn't, however, and is talked about openly and worked around. Usually logging out, then back in fixes it if you don't die. The issue as we all seem to agree, is valor on Ilum. Some players suggest resetting valor, to "make it fair" however pvpers are furiously upset with that idea because we worked hard, through obvious game mechanics (not cheating) to gain experience, money and valor in warzones as well as on Ilum at 50 for gear and titles, speeders, etc. And we actually don't see the fairness of that terrible idea at all. Who's it even fair to? Carebears who PVP once a week? Or is it simply fair for people that don't actually even log in, and instead just troll here? Yelling endlessly at devs about WHY THEY NEED TO FIX SWTOR RIGHT NOW BECAUSE ALL THE PLAYERS ARE VERY VERY MAD AND HAVE BURNING TORCHES TOO! Sit down son. Why is there so much talk about resetting valor and/or gear when nobody suggests resetting player levels and/or gear over PVE bugs, exploiting or game mechanic issues anyway? PLEASE please reset everyone back to level 1 so that we're all furiously scrambling around to get off Ord Mandell and find the conniving Skavik to reclaim our beloved ship! That's what I'm saying, how fun! I personally find that idea super cool! Well I do have a different suggestion. First of all, in case it's been mentioned, I need to say I never read these forums because it's usually people complaining about features in the game I enjoy most, like my battlemaster gear - which is absolutely NOT NOT a significant improvement over champion or even centurion gear, trust me, i'm still an excruciatingly easy kill as anybody on my server will tell you - my title, my abilities, etc. I like to actually log in and play everyday instead of complaining to devs and other players about how this game should be more like stupid WoW (actually please don't WoWanize our beloved SWTOR! ). I have a suggestion for the devs that may or may not have been suggested in the past. REMOVE VALOR REWARDS ON ILUM AND IMPLEMENT A NEW & DIFFERENT KIND OF PVP CURRENCY AVAILABLE AT ILUM ONLY PVP VENDORS...with hopefully some cool new pvp stuff! Of course this doesn't eliminate kill trading on Ilum, but come on, you all worked on DAOC. You remember how much players loved the Battleground with the fort surrounded by moats to capture that came with a set of difficult guards that spawned for the owning faction and omg raining arrows down at the bad guys from above was delightfully satisfying! The forts in Ilum are stupid. Nobody cares about them. They offer no protection, they're not fun to fight over, theres no reason to anyway. They're terribly lonely, nobody hangs out there except for one Medical Droid. Bleh. Somebody sit down and recreate the fort type of Battlegrounds we loved so much in DAOC complete with guards for full scale raids, of course you will definitely have to make it a balanced, instanced zone so we Pubs have a fighting chance against the zerg of course. Who cares about the "jesus patch"...stupidest name ever. Get down to a serious fun brainstorming session and put my suggestions on the table please And as for your dreaded valor reset in the works (aka PLEASE OH PLEASE NERF SNUFFY!!), if you plan on a valor reset, don't just go back to stupid 65 or 50! Seriously, by resetting in that fashion, you target only your fabulously happy hardcore PVPers who actually love the end game PVP here...MAKE IT FAIR TO US ALSO and go hardcore like us...RESET BACK TO RANK 1! And then, good luck with that!!
