Im most modern MMO's traveling is fairly straight forward. You access a travel NPC/interface click your wanted destination, and then confirm the choice then you go to your destination (approx 3 choices/clicks).
However, in this game a typical trip from any factions Fleet/main city takes 9 choices/clicks. First you need to get into your hanger(1st click), then you get into your ships instancs, and you need to click your ships door(2nd click). Now that you are inside your ship you again need to access the glatic map(3rd click), then you chose the desired destination(4th click), then you confirm your choice(5th click). Next you need to click your ships exit(6th click), next you land in an air lock(7th click), and then you need to travel from there to the orbital station(8th click) FINALLY you are close to where you wanted to go but one more speed bump the drop ship(9th click).
Im sorry but this method of travelling to and from other planets is tedious and makes travelling a chore. Why is a game developed in the late 2000's this bad at effecient travel?
A possible solution chould be to take some of the redundant choices out of the travelling interface to allow more rapid travel to and from desired locations. My idea would be to take the instanced hangers out and when i want to go to my ship via a class door, I am placed into my ship. Then when i travel to a planet i land in the orbital station, or god forbid the planets surface, and not a redundant airlock.
