  1. Has anyone had anything other than rep items drop from this? I thought I'd have a spin and see what comes out so I bought 100 coins, and spun them all away.

I hit the jackpot 36 times, (I didn't count the times I just won the coin back) and received:

20 Banned Holovids (green rep item)

10 Prohibited Medical Supplies (blue rep item)

6 Confiscated Artwork (purple rep item)

I've already got the max rep, so I sold them for 35,000 credits.

I'm wondering if that's all these drop now?

  2. This, please please please!

I'm leveling up mostly using Group Finder and class story missions, and I lost count of the amount of times I'd be in heal spec and grouped with another healer. That's fine, but I can't switch to DPS spec and two heals in a group finder makes it go slowww.

Please let us change spec while in GF! It doesn't make sense to be able to queue as two different specs, but then lock you out from switching if required.

    //edit//

I should clarify, I'm not even trying to switch combat styles - I haven't selected my 2nd style yet. I am a sage trying to switch from Seer to Telekinetic spec.

I used to be able to do it, but if it's a technical problem with the possibility of changing combat styles, then maybe lock it to your current style's specs?

  3. I cannot for the life of me understand why someone thought it would be a good idea to make us pay (using two currencies, credits and power cores) to do dailies.

I spent around an hour and a half aimlessly killing mobs trying to farm enough power cores to rent an Iokath Monitor for the daily. I figured it'd be a pretty tough machine, given how much it cost, but no. One standard mob was able to drop me to half health in pretty short order before I managed to get the kill. I made it to 8/10 kills before a gold elite jumped in and destroyed me, leaving me to farm for another ~2 hours to get enough power cores to get 2 more kills.

This is one daily that I'm never, ever doing again, as the effort vs reward is just not there.

I also had a quest to take control of a mouse droid, but once I spent the coin and cores, I found out that was the entirety of the quest - I didn't actually have to do anything with the droid. What's the point, BW?

I'm not even going to get in to the disappointment of finding out what this 'superweapon' which destroyed all life on Iokath was.

Unfortunately, I feel that once I've ticked the boxes for the dailies completed, it's not an area I'll ever come back to.

  4. Essentially, PvP is all about e-peen. It's there to prove you're a better player/team/guild than your opposition. Unfortunately, it attracts players with a superiority complex. The easiest way for these players to feed that complex is to belittle other players to make themselves feel superior.

No one plays PvP matches to lose. I've just started my PvP journey, so I have a mix of PvE and PvP gear - I'm finally up to getting the armour pieces. I actually got told in /say the other day to ditch the PvE gear and get PvP stuff...I was literally left shaking my head - what did he think I was there for?

The only reason I could come up with is that it scratched his superiority complex itch to point out that he knew I needed to use PvP gear instead of PvE, and clearly I didn't.

It doesn't really matter which game you're playing, human nature will stay the same across all games and platforms.

  5. Just had a look through the patch notes for 2.7 and noticed this:

Bolster has been updated to account for the new tiers of gear, and now provides additional Expertise to elder game PvE gear. Bolster still caps at a level slightly below Obroan gear.

Characters who do not wield weapons with Expertise mods and crystals are now capped at 1936 Expertise instead of the full 2018.

Does this mean that if you don't have a PvP weapon, you're capped at 1936? What is the effective difference between 1936 and 2018, and would the benefit of a PvE weapon be more than the Expertise difference?

  6. I really want to use HK and not gimp myself, so I'm wondering if I'm better off making/buying the CZ droid schematics, or would i be better off buying the Basic Comms gear, pulling out the mods and enhancements, and making armorings for the droid bits?

I was looking at the CZ bits, but they look expensive for what they are? Did Cybertech get sold a dud on these?

How have *you* geared HK, if you have?

    Cheers for any advice :)

  7. OMG way to miss quote and exagerate what i was saying i said nothing about nudity lol and if you wer to not have the flap and wear the dancers bottoms there would be nothing but a straight view of the "panties" in the front not nudity so stop trying to misrepresent what i said,or are you one of the pervs trying to get some cartoon cameltoe?

Drop your graphics settings and the flap disappears. So it's not like that you can't get that straight view of 'panties' if you want to - or you can equip the Relaxed Uniform Top, which doesn't have a flap.

Sorry, your argument doesn't hold water.

  8. The Nar Shaddaa comm vendor has offhands for everybody.

This means that there will be offhand weapons for classes that have offhand weapons (Sentinels, Marauders, Gunslingers, and Mercenaries).

For Sorcerers, you can get a Focus for your offhand.

If you want a weapon upgrade, spend 7 comms on the mod vendor for a hilt and 4 more for a mod and enhancement. Color Crystals are the absolute lowest priority weapon upgrade while leveling, as they don't give many stats at all.

Ahh, right...he's only an offhand vendor. Thank you to the one person who wasn't an ****** and insinuated that I'm a lazy tool who doesn't understand how the game works.

For the sake of the argument, I actually put in enough effort to deck myself out in pvp gear at level 20, and I'm making my own armouring mods and mod pieces.

  9. Planet comms vendors don't always have things for every class, so if that is the case just use the mod vendor and change out the mods enhancements and the hilt(this part ups the damage of your saber).

I think ever planet I've been to so far has had something for each class on the vendor...it wouldn't make any sense if they didn't. Bioware would be playing favourites in that case.

Changing mods and stuff is all well and good, but the vendors don't sell colour crystals - enhancements are pretty limited too.

  10. Is it me missing something, but I can't find any willpower one-handed sabers on the Nar Shaddaa vendors in the Lower Prom area anywhere.

There's two strength ones on the comms vendor, and some double-bladeds on the creds vendor, but no single-hand willpowers.

    Anyone found some?

    //edit//

I think it's meant to be the Sovereign Mind Lightsaber - as the Fervent Battle Lightsaber has identical stats...and they're both offhands.

Is the Mind saber meant to be our willpower one, but whoever created it copied in the wrong details?

  11. You can send an in-game Ticket and ask them to change it. They can change people's names that are inappropriate, so they can change yours if you ask for it.

A better idea would have been to choose a Legacy name that went well with all your character names. Only took me about 10 minutes to think of one.

I think what OPs saying is that it appears the Legacy name gets almost hardcoded to your account, to the point where the GMs aren't actually able to change or remove it.
