  1. Thanks all! http://www.swtor.com/user/ce/jt25? replace the "?" with the letter that is between u and w in the alphabet
  2. Jarael's Tunic is still messing up the shaggy hairstyle. I posted pics earlier in the thread of what happens. I just check in game, and the patch sadly did not fix it for this outfit. Oops thought we had a patch today...
  3. I'd love to have a Stronghold on Rakata Prime, have a beach house, and watch the thunderstorms in the distance out over the ocean. I sometimes just go into the lvl 55 tactical Rakata Prime and just walk around to enjoy the scenery. Should really be a stronghold location!
  4. I got the new Shaggy Hairstyle for my Jedi Knight and it looks cool, but I noticed some visual bugs with it as well! For example on the character select screen it looks as if it has been drenched in hair spray and blown by a wind turbine. I also notice that the new hairstyle affects robes and armor with physics attached to them, for example Jarael's Tunic is in a constant state of Marilyn Monroe syndrome, with this new hairstyle. Not to mention some regens and emotes and skill animations mess both the hairstyle and Jarael's Tunic with Shaggy Hair. It also does the weird visual glitch during cut-scenes too. However the armor works as intended with out the Shaggy hairstyle, or many other armor in game don't have issues with Shaggy Hair. Here are some pics for laughs and help fixing it lol http://i.imgur.com/E4q5EfJ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/WCd9G9r.jpg http://i.imgur.com/E9b8auK.jpg
  5. I also had the same problem, I was able to get past it by just turning off Texture Quality from High to Low. I noticed this only happens with Cut-scenes on Raiders Cove, and I noticed that when my textures are high on Rishi and specifically in Raiders Cove the textures will flicker from extremely low res (like worse than when I just switch it to low) to high res constantly. I don't encounter this much outside Raider's Cove and not at all on Yavin. I also get my cut scene frozen on the Battle for Rishi Flashpoint on the final scene. I think there might be an optimization issue or something. Because the rest of the game works fine and the Blood Hunt flashpoint doesn't do that on High texture quality.
  6. Actually there has been quite a few new tracks added since the game released. I'm pretty sure there is also as many if not more tracks than FFIV: ARR Music in this game the music works different I believe, as there is musical cues for certain dialogue options, and based on certain classes ect. And I think the soundtrack is meant to be like the Star Wars films where music enhances the story and the scene, not creating the focus. Now for a list of new tracks to keep your ears open for: 1) Terror from Beyond: Final Boss has a theme of his own I believe Kephis before has the same theme, it is short and kind of repetitive but it's brand new. 2) Makeb: There is quite a few new tracks with this planet, some variation of the entrance music, and the general theme, along with Republic and Imperial themes using the instruments for the Makeb theme. 3)Oricon/Dread Fortress/Dread Palace: There is a new theme for the moon in the daily area, there is also two different "boss" versions that play when you fight the Dread Masters in Dread Palace, and Brontes in Fortress. 4)Manaan: while both the planet area and the flashpoint use just copy music from KOTOR it is brand new tracks that were not in the original game. 5)Rakata Prime: Some repeats from KOTOR as well, but I swear there is some small new tracks like when you are running on the stretch of beach after that lagoon area at the start. The repeats from KOTOR seem to be rehanged or redone, especially for the battle theme during the second boss at Rakata Prime has some instruments I don't hear when listening to the original KOTOR soundtrack. New music is there just not in your face as much as other MMOs, but I too hope they try and add more tracks for every update and not just a small amount for big brand new content.
  7. Disney rarely gets gaming right, and when they do it's because they have outsourced the work to people who have the vision to make it work, or to other franchises. They dabbled in the MMO world with Toontown Online which was quite successful with the target demographic. Toontown for those of you unaware was Disney's first and only real success in the MMO market, it came out a year before World of Warcraft. It was quite innovated for the time and really was a great way to get young kids into the MMORPG world. It was also my first MMORPG. However the developers/imagineers at Toontown were responsible for many other Disney products and theme park attractions that Toontown never got the attention it needed as an MMO after a few years. In fact it along with all of Disney's other MMO worlds (Pirates of the Caribbean and Pixie Hallow) closed down last year. Toontown before it shut down was plagued with hackers, hadn't seen a real content update in three years, and was left to slowly decay. So while I can't speak with any certainty or authority I feel very comfortable saying Disney probably won't return to the MMO world for a very long time. In fact I imagine Disney is probably happy EA and Bioware made SWTOR, they have a full fledged operating, working, MMORPG that they didn't have to spend resources on, promoting and hyping their newest media acquisition
  8. The reason for the name change was as someone posted earlier, Mr. Lucas felt that having Korriban and Coruscant sounded way to similar. So it got changed to Moriband, but it still makes sense from a logical story perspective as well. I have a bachelors in Archaeology, and while my understanding of theory is at an undergraduate level, I can say that in a universe like star wars, where there is almost constant war, literal vast space between civilizations, and the potential to loose or forget hyperlanes to reach planets, it is certainly possible names can change or be different over the span of three thousand years. And sometimes it doesn't take thousands of years, the town I grew up in as a kid changed its name to something completely different, and the town was barely a hundred years old. They just recently released a story arc from the Clone Wars that never made it to Netflix, its an unfinished story reel, which is worth the watch, there are four, 22 min episodes with voice and sound/music about Anakin, and Kenobi. it is worth the watch they reveal some very interesting back story to something in the original trilogy, and its a fun ride despite the animation and art not being finished. http://www.starwars.com/video/crystal-crisis-on-utapau-story-reel-introduction Now at the end of the story arc, I won't spoil it but Yoda mentions "Legends" of when the Sith and Jedi fought for control of the galaxy, and mentions what I think are the massive weapons the Jedi Knight here in SWTOR deal with in their first chapter, and perhaps a few others from other class stories. But during his little speech his details are very vague, and not accurate. And Anakin refers to them as children stories or myths, so it is possible by the time the movie era starts the Star Wars populace has forgotten most of the details regarding the Old Republic era.
  9. Does this look like anything the Republic is using now? =P http://www.filmdivider.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/rebel-fleet.jpg If the books and comics that take place after the very long era SWTOR takes place in is to be true, there will be a massive dark age in the galaxy, i.e. everything staying stagnate and no progress, The Republic shrinks to a very small size, and then at the end of that period grows and inherits new planets and areas, some of them were perhaps old imperial worlds, and if you notice in the movies The Republic uses the Imperial Symbol well before Palpatine becomes Chancellor. The SWTOR era Republic capitol ships look more like the ships the Separatist were using, then the Rebel Alliances mismatching ships.
  10. Well while there wasn't a direct type of organization with the Order that is similar to SIS, there was the Jedi Covenant. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jedi_Covenant However the Covenant was in some ways a fanatical sect, only a small few knew of its existence, so not sure if it is a fair comparison to SIS. Especially since The High Jedi Council and the other Three were completely unaware of their existence for some time. Jedi Shadows are probably more closer to legit secret agents of the Jedi Order. Though, much like Sages they seem to focus on artifacts, and the mysteries of the force, but they seem to also do intelligence gathering as well.
  11. I am planning on unlocking all of Coruscant, and spending the most time decorating it first. I want to make the whole second floor a Jedi Academy themed. I'll unlock a lot of Kaas City and some of Nar since I'll get some rooms for free. I'm going to wait for Tat since it is the biggest credit sink, I'll unlock that one later. I agree with the OP tho not looking forward to general chat of Coruscant, visiting it during bounty week is fun but the chat always makes me want to bang my head against a wall. Strongholds should have their own chat channel in my opinion.
  12. I noticed prices falling on Jedi Covenant as well, nothing drastic but I normally sell and the market normally sells isotope-5 for 100k-125k. However in the past few days the price has dropped from 76k-83k. I was hoping it would raise up to a reasonable 90k-100k but I caved in and started selling mine for 83k because I wasn't selling them and I was starting to accumulate to much isotope over my lvl 55's. Crafting material hasn't dropped much at all on my server maybe a 1-2k but nothing drastic. Some cartel items are selling super cheap, last I checked you could get the whole temple guardian set for less than 1mil. So it is a buyers market. I'm assuming the main flows of the GTN are controlled by subscribers who don't have restrictions on how much they can sell so I bet in a week or so things will go back to prices we saw a few weeks ago.
  13. My Jedi Sage would look so cool in that Temple Guard Armor. I agree with OP an armor set like this should be in the Cartel Market, I'd buy it! Also Jedi classes need some Jedi looking mask/helms that work with hoods like our Sith counterparts.
  14. I noticed on my Sith Inquisitor that the mask makes the hood go down, hopefully it gets fixed soonish! Is any mask/helmet able to work with hoods now or is every single one of them glitching out now?
  15. An armor like that would be super cool, I'd buy it. Also Jedi classes need masks that fit in hood, none our masks keep the hood up, so we are stuck using Revan's mask or the Sith looking mask... =P
  16. My lvl 50 Jedi Consular, I decided to only tell his story on how he got to the Tython, the rest basically is just the choices and stuff I did on my way to 50 but too many spoilers. lol Kasei Wahi was born on 3,664 BBY on a space station orbiting Cademimu V in the Outer Rim. His parents both worked in the commercial district of the medium sized station. When Kasei was 6 he started to sneak out while his parents were busy working and Kasei would travel down to the lower levels of the station to the droid repair labs. It is here he found his love for droids and made many friends that he either made or helped fix in the repair lab. It was when he was 7 that a male Togruta Jedi Master was at Kasei’s space station chasing down a Sith who was trying to return back to the Empire with key information about Republic’s movements in the outer rim. The Jedi and Sith fought through the lower maintenance levels before reaching the center large circular droid repair lab that Kasei was in. Kasei hid behind his droid friends and ordered the ones that had defense capabilities to aid the Jedi. The Sith easily sliced through the attacking droids and managed to separate the Jedi from his lightsaber. Kasei saw that the situation was going to turn dark very quickly, he closed his eyes and calmly pushed his hand out, the Sith who was ignoring young Kasei was now flown across the room from a force push from Kasei. This gave the Jedi time to grab his lightsaber and even the fight again. Kasei was busy activating droids, and throwing broken deactivated droids at the Sith. In minutes the chaos of dozens of droids shooting, and others being force thrown at him all the while dueling a Jedi Master became too much to handle and the Sith miss stepped and tripped over a fallen droid and fell right on top of the lighsaber of the Jedi Master. The Jedi Master, thanked young Kasei and after securing the data from the fallen dead Sith the Jedi asked to meet his parents later that day. With much reserve his parents finally allowed the Jedi to take Kasei to a Jedi enclave in Dantooine, here he became a Jedi Padwan, under temporary and different masters because the Jedi Order was still recovering from the sacking of Courscant and trying to find a new location for the Order to settle. When Kasei was 21 he was taken to the newly rediscovered planet Tython and met his new permanent master, Jedi Master Yuon Par. Name: Kasei Wahi Age: 22 Gender: Male Species: Human Occupation: Jedi Sage Physical Attributes Hair color- Black Hair length- Slightly Long Eye color- Blue Body type- Thin Height- 5'9" Weight- 138 lbs Dislikes 1. Violence 2. Over-confidence 3. Arguments 4. Public Speaking 5. Killing Likes 1. Archaeology 2. Droids 3. Sarcasm 4. Diplomacy 5. Poetry FUN FACTS 1. His ship is filled with as many droids as he can fit on it. 2. Before being recognized as a force user, his only and best friends were droids 3. He finds city planets to be more peaceful and connected with the force than the wilder planets. 4. Is loyal to the Jedi Council more than the Republic, given the chance he will promote the Order. 5. Thinks everyone has good, no matter who they are and what they have done.
  17. The Jedi Consular's ending doesn't change at all no matter what you choose, in fact the story basically acts like you are a lightside Jedi even if you choose all dark option. (Now obviously if you go darkside some little things will change but over all compared to the other classes not really anything big so I suggest going lightside it makes more sense with the consular.)
  18. A super cheap way to kill him as a Sage is to cast weaken mind on him and run around the upper level of the circle room where you engage him and just keep running away from him casting weaken mind and using force shield to help lower the damage of that massive AOE he does. Do that for 5 to 9 minutes and he dies with you never getting below 50% health, sometimes if you time it right you will have time to heal yourself all the way to full! Oh and your companion won't make it past the first 30 seconds or so.... I'm sure there is another way to kill him, but after the previous boss fight before him I wanted a cheap way to win. lol
  19. I have mixed feelings about our companions, they are all sort of growing on me but none of them I like a whole lot. Qyzen was great but still felt that after chapter 1 ended he should have parted ways despite who he thinks I am.... Tharen... lol Iunno he is the one I like the most so far, but it might be because he provides a very interesting relationship with the consular, (btw I'm male with a male character so I can understand tho why the ladies hate him, but from the male side of things he just seems desperate... lol) Zenith just freaks me out, and I don't understand why he had to travel with me...and not stay where he came from... Irresso... he is cool just not well integrated into our story, it's like here have a trooper tank companion who has a cool voice and some witty lines. Nadia... starting to not like her at all, she keeps throwing her self at me its so very annoying, I was hoping we would get a much more mature love interest then our student.... I'd rather have Gaden-Ko be my student or companion...
  20. I actually made my male consular look very young like in his early 20's and used body 2 for him, at first it felt like the voice didn't fit very well but I'm now almost level 50 and I can't imagine him with any other voice or any other body type/age. It's amazing but if you keep playing the character eventually the voice will just make sense regardless if it feels it doesn't match at the beginning. So my advice is make a character you like and play it through and eventually it will be the perfect voice for the character you created.
  21. Theran annoyed me so much when he was introduced but he has been growing on me more as I use him, his 2 cents sometimes about places and people can be super amusing. But still can be annoying at times too.. lol
  22. So it's for SI? Even though it is a light side armor, it feels a little too white and bright for a Sith, where is our black robes then for darkside Jedi? O_o
  23. Does it cover the face too like the screenshot? Iunno why but I'm really jealous of the SI with their hooded mask robes/head gear.
  24. Yea that robe looks awesome, also is their any robes with a mask on them like the SI?
  25. Thanks everyone for the great advice! I love questing so I'm glad to hear that I do not have to grind, sounds like I can also go back and do the heroics and still get EXP? I might do that for some of them since I really liked certain planets so it will be fun to return till I get to level 32 or something. Also thanks for mentioning the location of the PvP daily didn't know one was available!
