  1. The other day I was playing a game of ultimate frisbee and I had a thought: what if the huttball immobilized the player? Make the carrier immune to stuns/incapacitate but immobilize him while he holds the ball, forcing his teammates to line up for a pass. The benefits of this would be 3 fold: 1. Promotes teamwork in pug teams. 2. Eliminates class mobility advantages for the huttball holder (like force speed, charge) 3. Removes the frustration of being stun-locked with the ball. Before anyone says that I'm bias, I actually have five 50's, 4 of them are one of each of the force-user classes. I just think this would make for a more interesting game.
  2. Im only lvl 40, thus I dont have the extended duration on weaken mind. What I'm saying is that the normal weaken mind ticks 5 times for damage, and if you add it up it's less than the tooltip, which assumes 6 ticks of damage for some reason.
  3. Hi I'm a level 40 sage in the balance tree with "will of the jedi" and "drain thoughts" spec'd. "Drain thoughts" does update the tool tip when spec'd into FYI. Sever force lists 1033 damage, ticks on cast and every 3 seconds for a total 7 ticks @ 148 damage on a low level mob: that's 1036 which rounds correctly. Weaken mind lists 982 damage and damages not on cast, but every 3 seconds for 5 total ticks @ 164 damage on the same mobs as above: that's only 820 total. Both are internal damage. I bring this up because if weaken mind were to tick 6 times that would be 984 damage: in line with the tool tip of 982. Obviously there is an error in either the tooltip or the damage output of weaken mind. Does anyone know of an upcoming fix for this?
  4. When I play my Mercenary--standing back with my group blasting away--I feel like I'm effecting the battle, doing my part. I'm a part of a team: there are healers tanks and myself all playing our part--like well-oiled machine. This is the team game, the game where working together wins the day. When I play as my assassin or operative, it's a whole different game. I'm not a part of a "team;" I'm by myself. I have a different role: my job is to take out a healer. When a stealth player has to take out a healer in a group of 5+ enemies, there's a sliver of time given to him before every enemy focus fires him down in an instant. He will have no healer support, no back up of any kind: he's alone. It's 1 vs 4+ with the goal of killing one healer; there's a slim chance of escape. I believe the "stealth" game is often misunderstood. It's viewed as being "unfair" because in 1v1 a healer doesn't stand a chance. The thing is, that's the point. In 1v1 the healer isn't supposed to stand a chance. The healer is a part of a team. The healer has a tank's protection, a group of DPS willing to change targets in an instant. Playing stealth is an intensely rewarding and equally difficult game. We're not in the game to rack up big damage numbers or kills; we're in the game to subtly effect the tide of the battle. It's a thankless job, and that's OK--but we need a few things to fulfill our role. We need burst, CC and escape, that's it. Take some time to think on the role of the stealth player, whatever class/classes you play. Remember what we do, what we don't do, if you don't keep this in mind you will always be bitter: after the next patch we ops/scoundrels/assassins/shadows will still take down your healers in an instant, because that is what we do: anyone who doesn't like this will never be satisfied unless he comes to terms with the role of a rogue class.
  5. I hate to complain as my first post--I'm enjoying the game a good deal, almost have my second level 50--but it's really concerning me that the level 50 gear, in general, looks terrible. I understand this is my personal opinion, but I highly doubt I'm alone in this. The level 40 pvp gear looks excellent, almost every single piece of gear I've had leveling looks great. The level 50 gear, on the other hand, is an embarrassment. The PVP counselor gear: looks like something a homeless person would wear, and the PVE gear doesn't fit at all with a shadow. The PVP Knight gear: What can I say... ***? Seriously? The PVE gear looks great though. The PVP Inquis gear: this might be OK for a Sorc, but an Assn? It looks ridiculous for an Assn. Alot of the others are just Blah, the PVP Sith warrior gear is passable, but not great. So tell me, Bioware, when are you going to give me a reason to grind endgame gear?
