  1. 40, I'm game on whereever server. New toon if it means I get to play with people that aren't my kids' ages. Do have existing toons on Juyo and Corellian run server though.
  2. Makes me wish I still had my Star Wars spoon/Audrey Tatou Amelie spoof photo.. I should go search for it except it is almost 7 years old, heh, mebbe for a lark I will. It would be perfect for this thread. and for those of you posting photos that are not actually you (go through all 75 pages--the statistical likelihood of there being a faux photo-post is probably close to 100% likely) I'm sorry for you that you cannot feel comfortable or confident in posting real images of yourself. Why post if it is fake? besides, you know you hear Admiral Ackbar in the background screaming "IT'S A TRAP!"
  3. Totally stinks that I can't view the original fun-funnyness.
  4. I had a bug the other day whereupon my companion lay 'dead' at my feet every time I stopped. At some points she followed me in the supine/dead position. No screen shots though and definitely not as funny as the OP. OP cracked me up with the choice of song and dance routine.
  5. Not really. But being disabled sometimes has major disadvantages in that I don't get to go to as many physical places as I would like and exploration on the world wide web is a traveller's journey for me oftimes; and I enjoy sharing cool sites.
  6. Short and succinct I take it, with meaning... how about 'Epoch'. It was the first word that came to mind when I read what you were looking for. It has a good sound, it is one word and I think the definition is relevant: https://www.google.com/search?q=define+epoch&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a Yay? Nay?
  7. You guys are a tough room, aren't you? I was hoping someone would have some sort of epic Star Wars TOR or otherwise links to share. I have a few more regardless. I like Lego custom MOCs for anything but some for the Star Wars universe are rather fun: fun minis with building instructions: http://sw.deckdesigns.de/minis.htm actual Lego sets and reviews: http://www.brickshow.com/category/star-wars the Star Wars advent calendar was a lot of fun last year and apparently it was the first of its kind. As far as I've read a version was available at Comicon-- 1000 copies-- not sure if there was anything different about it than the mass retail one, but if anyone bought one perhaps you could share the details. That's all I have for now! Still hoping someone else has some great links to share (eventually)!
  8. someone has to have some relevant links or is everyone just on SWTOR when they jump on the WWW? one of my favorite sites for hand-crafted items for Star Wars: http://www.etsy.com/search?search_submit=&q=star+wars&view_type=gallery&ship_to=US hats: http://www.etsy.com/search/handmade?search_submit=&q=star+wars+hat&order=most_relevant&ship_to=US&view_type=gallery My favorite has to be the Mon Calamari one. Enlighten me and broaden my horizons people. I mean, even Penny Arcade has SWTOR and no one posted those links. I know I haven't seen everything related to SW/SWTOR so cough up the links!
  9. I love all things nerdy when it comes to Star Wars and I know I haven't seen everything there is to see that is related to it on the World Wide Web. But it might be nice to see what I can see. So... Show me yours and I'll show you mine: http://www.retronaut.co/2010/11/star-wars-vintage-travel-posters/ retronaut has a lot of awesome btw: http://www.retronaut.co/category/star-wars/ and in celebration of my b-day today-- er, strike that, bday on 1-19, this is the cake I wish I could have: http://blog.oakleafcakes.com/stormtrooper-cake/ it's a freakin' Storm Trooper cake! Seriously would that not be epic?
  10. I remember 8-tracks! Although age-wise I don't hit the 45-year mark quite yet (close but not quite). Can I still qualify? I have been through the mine-field of raising children to adult-hood (18 and 19 last year they were) and I certainly feel older some days lol. Professionally I'm a freelance graphic artist. Rummaged around and found some old Imperial and Republic photos (not my work btw): http://www.retronaut.co/2010/11/star-wars-time-crashes/ NOOOO! My parents never took me to movies I wanted to see as a kid. I wanted to go and I remember all the other kids talking about it. I thought I was lucky when I got to see ET! lol and I hope the guild will be called The Older Republic. It works lol.
  11. When I first started gaming the idea of a girl gamer was like the idea of a unicorn-- rare and unbelievable. But the truth is there are more females that game now than ever before (someone mentioned a statistic of 40% female player base in current gaming culture). So it is no longer the 'OMG freakin' UNICORN!!', it is a part of the culture as a whole. Yeah, so many people still treat girl gamers as rare but the truth is, if there are 40%, 4 of every 10 players you may encounter is conceivably of actual female persuasion. Look at it this way: my generation grew up playing games and we had children. We also shared our love of gaming with our children. Many of us have had female children so we increased the pool of female gamers just because we decided to procreate and the toss of the dice gave us girl-children to share our love of gaming with. Now these girl-children are adult gamers who will most likely go on to have children (girls and boys-- although statistically more will have female children) that they will share their love of gaming with (if they haven't had their own children already). If people still insist on treating the idea of 'girl gamers' as rare and unbelievable that is their own hang-up because the truth is females play games. More now than ever before. In my own home there is a 3 to 1 ration of female gamers to male gamers. Not so rare anymore, are they?
