Oh sorry, you said classes not players. But what you said still means the classes are balanced (half use force, half doesn't). But players are currently mostly using force classes. I just wanted to mention it.

Well, I don't know if I understand you, but if half the players are force users, this would mean the other half isn't, which means it is balanced.

Maybe you don't, but some do. My friends decided to pick another class after seeing by themselves the same things that I talked about.

Hi everyone, Simple post that might help diversity on the servers. You might have all noted that almost everyone went jedi. For example, On my server, we were 140 on Thyton, while only about 90 on Mantrell (not sure about spelling). Moreover, out of those 90 ppl, at least 65% (approximate number based on nothing but my observation) were troopers. So, in game, you see very few smugglers and I think you don't see a lot of agents on the imperial side. I was thinking that perhaps ppl that haven't played yet could be interested in knowing that and that it could affect their selections.

Well just **** Bioware. I only have a couple of hours during a day to play. If I spend 33% of that time waiting in a *********** queue, where is the fun? The "Deal with it" answer is just a loser's answer. Even if you say "It happens in every damn MMO launch dude!!"... the fact that somebody else failed in one aspect doesn't mean everybody has to fail. It's pretty much what "evolution" means. Moreover, for those of you who think "the game isn't launched yet"... well it is. We are pretty much a benchtest for Bioware, in order to figure out how pissed they can get their customers before doing something. That early access is great for them, because they can "test" some stuff that they couldn't test in the beta phase... things such as "customer satisfaction". Increasing server limits isn't THAT difficult, yet they don't do it, cause they are "testing" stuff. And I wouldn't bother writing that crap on the forum if it weren'T for the fact that I am IN A *********** 2 HOURS QUEUE!

Sure but when we'll start paying, pardon me, but paying to wait is unacceptable... whatever excuses you wanna give them.

Wow those queues are *********** insane. Whatever the OP said... it's obvious they want to max their profits. Buy less servers and have people wait. So far, it's cool, we're not paying subscriptions. But I'm sorry, but as soon as I start paying for a damn subscription, I am not gonna stick into waiting lists every time I wanna play.

I know there is a sticky on the matter, but I couldn't find anything about what is going to happen in the next few days. Feel free to point me at anything I might have missed. So, the queues are a bit intense. I understand that BW wants a balance between players interaction (server nearly full) and avoiding queues (server not full). So far, let's say almost every server is Full. I thought the one I created my toon on wasn't, but here I am waiting 20 minutes to connect to it. I am not an expert, but even if they add new servers, the ones with queues are still going to be full, right? There's no way they can "expand" a server capacity? Are those on full servers with long queues doomed?

I wasn't sure where to post this... PvP discussions, Instances discussions, whatever. So, I am rather "new" to the PvP servers, used to go PvE. But, since the PvE were all fulls when I created my toon, I end up on a PvP server. The question I have, is it difficult to find good groups on PvP servers? (Like is everyone just focusing on doing PvP matches). Thanks for the replies.

My avatar has no real link with my class. I indeed have just tried a Sith Warrior, but I have also rolled a smuggler as an alt, to try balance things out a bit.

Well, exactly. Personnalities seem to all wanna go Inq. That's why it's a problem with very few solutions... You can't force anyone to pick anything. Hopefully it'll balance after people realized it's so unbalanced and decide to start rolling alts that aren't jedis.

Yes, a majority of people going Empire was expected. And it is not such a big deal, since I don't think it is 80 to 20 ratio. But, even if I was also expecting more jedis, I didn't know almost no one would take the other classes (so far at least).

Well, I guess that is a good thing that I created the post. Most people don't care and troll on my post, but I still think it is nice to have a balanced population. Moreover, the numbers I advanced were examples. I think the 60 to 40 Empire/Republic ratio is representative of the Beta phase. Even after launch, chances are the ratio will be the same.

As I said, it's not only PvP related, even if I use it as an example. Running a 4men group of Inquisitors isn't really gonna go somewhere. I admit that I flagged it as Important only because there are so many posts on this forum that you end up posting things that nobody reads, since it ends up 3 pages further in less than 60 seconds... Apologies for those that are really really deeply bothered by the title.

Well... when you say so what? Wouldn't you rather play in a "balanced" environnement. It is kinda boring, especially when you are trying to form a group... to be stuck with 4 guys of the same class.

Also I forgot. It is sad that there seems to be almost zero Smugglers or Agents. Some troopers or Bounty Hunters, but definitely a **** load of Jedis.

Anybody else noticed a population balance problem on his/her server? First of all, it seems a good 60% of everyone (or more) is going Empire. Moreover, a BIG MAJORITY of those people (going empire) are taking a Sith Inquisitor Class. Say we have 60% of people going empire, with 80% of those taking a Sith Inquisitor. You end up with 48 % of your whole population playing with a Sith Inquisitor. It came up to a point that in some PvP matches, you can be playing against a group FULL of Sith Inquisitors. I cannot think of any suggestions in order to sort that kind of problem. You cannot force someone to pick a specific side and/or class. But still, it kinda sucks to have everyone playing the same side AND the same class, the latter being worse IMO.

I redeemedb my code on Dec 2nd (checked my mails) but for some reasons it says 3rd on the swtor website. Knowing that dec 2nd now have ega... I am rather pissed.

Early access, as Bioware calls it, is just the official launch being progressive. Well, that is at least my assumption. It is the only way they could have a smooth "launch". It's just a way of calling things really... They thought of a way so that nobody would get pissed off at not being able to play on the first day. So, instead of saying "We launch the game on December 13th, but people will be allowed by waves". They said "We launch the game on December 20th, but people will be granted early access by waves". Therefore, players think they are lucky to have early Access and Bioware is happy because they have their smooth launch scheme going on. But, nevertheless, it doesn't change the fact that never promised that everyone would be playing by december 15th... so everyone should stop raging really. What happens now is exactly what they said would happen. Moreover, I see a lot of threads where people rage because they "Pre-ordered on July 21st or whatever" but didn'T get any invite. ---- It's always been the code redemption date that was important, not the purchase date.

Well my toughts are that they will be flexible. Today is the first day and they probably wanna see how things go. Moreover, there were many more purchases made in the first few days (July 21st and so on). I would expect that, tomorrow and the day after, a lot more "dates" are gonna be covered by those waves. By that I mean, people from july and august might have their access tomorrow, compared to only july 21st to 27th as it was today.
