  1. GW2 won't have mailboxes, you get mail from anywhere. lol
  2. The game isn't going to retain 1.7 million subs in the long run, no matter how much you want it to.
  3. I thoroughly enjoyed the game, and I never said any of this stuff until now. I just don't believe this game has any potential for long-term power. While it has the subs now, it's because a lot of people haven't hit that brick wall of an end-game or are really casual in their play, which is fine. But as a long term-1-year-down-the-road type thing, I can't see this game clinging on. Don't get me wrong, it'll always be relatively healthy, but these 2 million subs won't hold in the long run. Not really talking about the first 2-3 months of a game with this sort of IP (which I'd assume is one of the main reasons for attracting so many).
  4. It's halfway to the March 20th subscription cycle. Sorry that's so hard to comprehend for you
  5. Personal experience on my server. Not saying it's the same for you but I have experienced it.
  6. If you actually read the articles, it says the numbers are from the end of February (ie. who subscribed after February 20th). We're 11 days away from the March 20th subscription period. You don't think that the subs changed from then until now? Hell, I was still playing and enjoying the game on February 20th. A month is a long time and a LOT of people have stopped playing in that period.
  7. It's asinine and completely wrong to think that the game has 1.7 million subscribers. If you google another article on it, they say that's how many they had AT THE END OF FEBRUARY. What about on March 20th? You think it's going to grow at that point? Why do you think they're releasing end of February numbers halfway through March? Because they know when the M arch 20th numbers are out, it'll be way down.
  8. Funny how they do this before the big 3 month sub-end period on March 20th. Many others (including myself) will be gone by then.
  9. All 36 of my skills are bound to some hotkey, and trust me, its 20x faster and more precise.
  10. 1.2 or so million subs come March 20th (not including Asia)
  11. LOL at people who think this game is flourishing damn, that was easy
  12. Making them up to sound better than they [probably] are, like a good fanboy would. Somehow primetime = only 15% of people playing?
  13. I can't believe so many of you think this game has 3 million subs. Are you that deluded? Kind of sad really, lol I'm going to guess 1 million (come March 20th, that is). I guarantee there's been a huge drop-off from the original 2 million subs. This doesn't include Asia, who are essentially going through hype/launch
  14. LOL this game is just consistently going downhill. That means another month with very little to do, most people aren't going to stay around for that.
  15. Yep, terribly condescending and snobbish article. Even his replies to other people in the reply section make me want to vomit. Garbage. Makes it sound like no one should EVER complain about bugs and issues EVER and if you do you're a terrible person.
  16. The point that you're a little dense? Undoubtedly, lol
  17. That was 2004. 8 years ago. EIGHT. Do you even remember what computers were like 8 years ago? How much technology has evolved since then?
  18. Just because I search for absolute truth doesn't mean I don't have beliefs that have some evidence congruent with the truth. They are beliefs that are the most favourable given the situation. You only quoted the FIRST sentence of my reply, and only bothered to hark on that point. Unless you make it clear (which you haven't) that you've actually read and replied to what I was saying, then I don't know what you're expecting. Also, ad hominem! yay!
  19. LOL that's because I'm not debating with you. I made that clear. I have no reason to debate with you and the other poster because I know what is reality in this case and what isn't. You didn't even quote the rest of my reply, which leads me to believe that you didn't even read it. I'm an advocate of the absolute truth. I don't really care how strongly you feel about something or whether it's a 'practical matter of human nature'. Frankly, it's irrelevant, especially if you're opposing strong evidence. I care about the truth and only the truth of the situation, which the poster (and you) continuously deny. Again, I am not debating with you, because you CANNOT debate with an individual who refuses to see the reality of situations in the face of obvious evidence. For certain situations and topics that don't involve facts and essential truths then what you're saying can apply. But when someone on this forum is telling me that the game is a 'huge, living breathing social world', you're going up against tons of evidence to the contrary with no evidence to support it. You can believe that if you want, I won't stop you. I also won't debate with you about it. I'll just let you know how willfully ignorant you're being about it. Call it an ad hominem, I'll call it a somewhat rude (but justified) wake-up call.
  20. Oh, you can go ahead and debate it if you want - it doesn't mean you're right. Facts are often taken as 'opinion' because the opposing party won't accept it in the face of obvious evidence. This happens with everything in life, from religion to politics to mundane daily tasks. Are you trying to tell me that SWTOR is a huge, expansive world full of neat flora and fauna that really captures the essence of a living, breathing social world? Because if you said yes, even if it was your opinion, you'd essentially be wrong. I know it's hard to accept that an opinion can be wrong, but if it goes against evidence and is contrary to the reality of the situation, then you're damn right it can be. Having an opinion doesn't make you an indefensible special snowflake that cannot be challenged by reality and truth.
