  1. For me (whom sadly, many would happily slot into the "graphics whore" category), I remember looking at the game early in development thinking how god awfull it looked. Then later on, getting closer to release, seeing beta screens and their own media they put out and thinking what an amazing job they had done turning it around. Now the environments are okay (though I would love some more atmosphere from day/night and realtime lighting/shadowing), but the char model, gear texture and shadows we are getting are piss poor in todays standard and can be compared to AOC on low.
  2. Inspector makes changes at the driver level where as the ini is engine, so depending on the settings used inspector will override the ini settings for things like aa and af. Edit to add that I'm using FXAA as it looks to me as good as 8xMSAA with 2xTrSSAA but without the performance hit.
  3. You obviously swallow every bit of spin spat out before you get informed. Game too demanding on this ; i5 2500k/P67Pro/8GB DDR1600/GTX580/64GB SSD Then fail engine is fail.
  4. My sig says it all regarding this whole mess really. If you haven't already; watch UE3(.5) Samaritan video. Inb4 the "yes but you need the most powerfull rig on earth to run it" crowd; well for that particular demo yes, but the thing is it's highly scaleable and you could choose to turn things down a little. EAoware could of afforded to license it, but that Gordon fella seemed to have his heart set on the (at the time) incomplete heroengine. If you were to make out a side by side comparison feature list of a few good 3d engines, EAowares' version of heroengine would be put to shame.
  5. I was hitting random on the generator and it came up with Pedo! I was like ***! if I were to use that I would probably get banned so why have it in there as a possibility?!
  6. Looks like I posted this response in the wrong thread so I'll post here aswell as it seems more fitting to this thread. I've also added a little to it. TL;DR version = Most of this could be fixed with a customizable ui and/or addons. So I got a Scrapper to lvl 26, enjoying the game so far; but I've run out of action bars. That's pretty shocking at such a low level. Looking through the trainer list I still have a few abilities to pick up, then there's the ones from talent points. This is with no relic's on the bar either (gave up trying as they randomly dissapear?) and most of the standard class abilities hidden in the cover bar. Currently both bottom bars are filled and the right bar too. Now I could start using the left bar, but because the companion abilities decide to reset if I even so much as look at him the wrong way, I'm forced to keep his open or I'll forget to deactivate them and he'll do something stupid; like run in and aoe some cc'd mobs. I would much prefer more bars at the bottom and at a slightly smaller scale. Also the scrapper should have the cover bar replaced with a stealth bar. My favourite wow ui mods were xperl and archud but I normally just stuck with blizzards action bars because you could scale them and there wasn't half as many abilities. This combo really helped tidy the screen up and get all the needed info close to where you want to be looking.
  7. You can actually zoom out to stupid distances (most I tried was 250m) if you know where to look Trouble with this it also effects the actual zoom mechanic, so one notch on the wheel is about 50m.
