my... sig pretty much sums this all up. Got battlemaster today almost (rank 58 almost 59.) PvP in this game isn't appealing, so I canceled subscription until they fix a few, tiny, minor things I think we can ALL agree need changing. I wouldn't mind grinding for 1 or 2 peices of gear a week getting a few tokens a day. the random element really ticks me off. No way to test how good I am or am not against other skilled players. Just mass warzone zergs with idiot objectives. I feel like gearing up for PvP i'm all dressed up with no place to party. I'm sure swtor will fix these in due time, it's only been out one month... I'm just not going to stick around while they figure it out. I'll come back once they do

This game will never have serious/competitive PvP. Minecraft if closer to it than swtor. I just wanted to point out (in jest) that WoW is also having problems with operative level burst damage in PvP.

Don't bother, they have operatives too now.

Agreed! Let's bracket off PvP more so queue times go from instant - 2 minutes all the way up to 10-20 minutes! That'll make EVERYONE happier!

I completely agree. melee do take a little bit more work, and we aren't rewarded for the extra effort... but it's still fun and works just fine.

I am an assassin (MELEE) and am enjoying swtor PVP.

- Field Marshal in WoW (vanilla) - Grand Marshal (rated BG's) - Gladiator several times - Currently 2431 RMP - Valor rank 57 in this game, without cheating, a marriage, kids and a full time job. I get the feeling I know more about earning PvP rewards than most people playing this game currently. But I also think it's moronic to condemn players for enjoying PvP. PvP is meant to be fun, it doesn't matter if the grind takes 2 years or 2 weeks, if you are enjoying yourself that's all that really matters.

I don't even have maul on my bar. trust me, take it off and you'll feel better. 50 (or even 25) energy for 2-4k damage is AWFUL. Use your deception endline (I don't know what it's called for jedi shadow). Not only is it's average damage per energy better than maul, but the stacking buff to make your shocks crit for 4-6k is pretty nice too. All I do is Volatic Slash, Shock, Discharge and I kill people pretty darn fast. Not as fast as a pre-nerf operative, but still, fast. I love the class and spec!

Or. We could look at it as Sorc are the only caster the game has to offer, and -many- players are only comfortable playing magical classes. perhaps not everyone is conspiring to be an elite skilled PvP super ninja, and just felt like they had no other choice if they are a caster kind of person.

I'd like to turn Ashara to another side... But, turning her to the dark side is almost as appealing

One can assume the balanced classes don't have nerf cries, so who do you never see a nerf cry for? marauder, assassin, sniper from what I see.

Imo punish people for making friends. And after reading some of the posts in this thread from anti-premade people, it's clear why they don't have any friends =3
