  1. It's a known bug with the Area Loot setting. You will need to disable that in your settings and then the loots will get tracked toward the count. It's not just heroics but any loot that has a mission trigger, Area Loot is bugged.

Once you disable it you will have to loot each mob one by bone but it's a temporary work around till the bug is fixed.

Thanks. I'll give it a try after changing that setting.

  2. So I'm on one of my 65s, trying to do this mission from the weekly heroic terminal and I run into a problem. The first objective is to Obtain Data Access Codes. I lay waste to the mobs in the area and loot a Data Access Card from one of them. The Data Access Card shows up in my mission inventory area, but the mission does not advance. I reset the mission and try again, getting the same results. I drop the mission, pick it up again from the terminal...and get the same results. I do hope this will get fixed soon.
  3. My one concern after reading the whole thread to date is the price of the individual packs. In older packs, we got 5 items per pack. In the current ones, six. Now we're going down to two. We are losing between 60 and 66 percent of the items in each pack. I deeply hope that the price will be adjusted accordingly. Which would take the subscriber rate (currently at 250 coins per pack) down to either 100 or 83 coins.
  4. It is a work of fiction.

If an event or act is not shown to the audience (reader/player/viewer/whatever) through events depicted directly, or related indirectly by characters or other sources within the work of fiction, it never happened.

Audience speculation counts for nothing and is meaningless.

As for shippers, they might as well all be of the Harry/Draco sort.

So -- taking that view to its logical conclusion -- since we never see anyone actually use the toilet in the Star Wars movies and games, it means that no one ever has? That level of constipation would certainly explain why Sith have so much anger to channel into force lightning. :D Yeah, you're just gonna have to accept that some things happen off-screen. Sorry, dude.

  5. They said on stream ultimate and elite comms are staying the same but classic comms, planetary comms and basic comms will combine into basic comms and the caps will probably stay the same.

He also said we will probably hit the cap on basic comms when we do 1-60

Did they mention what the conversion ratio for turning Classic and Planetary Comms into Basic Comms would be?

  6. Less Mario jumping. Some of them are ridiculously stupid to try to get.

I agree with this so much. I'd much rather have them either be along a long, twisty path that does NOT in any way shape or form require jumping skills that I haven't had since the days of the original Donkey Kong arcade game (Yeah, I'm old and getting more curmudgeonly by the day) or else tucked behind a tough boss fight at the end of a medium sized path.

  7. Awesome.

    Thanks!

Also, as mentioned above having persistent companions that don't turn into holos would rock, too. If only they could keep the custom gear we have them decked out in, and not revert to the default stuff like they do as a holo.

It would be nice, that's true, but what if you have more than one alt of each class (a Guardian & a Sentinel, for example)? If you've got different custom gear on each alt's version of Kira, then how would the system know which one to display?

  8. you ever wondered what Emperor Palpatines first name was? just out of curiosity?

the closest up til now that we have gotten was a mention in Plagueis that Palpatine hated his given name and as a result stuck with his family name only.

well, in the upcoming book Tarkin, written by James Luceno who also wrote Plagueis, we will get his first name.

    want to know?

His first name is... Sheev. Which makes it understandable why he hated that name in the first place. I got proof just in case you do not believe me

    http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sheev_Palpatine

    so what do you think?

Ayup. That explains perfectly why he hated it. :p

  9. Something I feel I should ask:

Since the friend-alt list reads to sound like a "add friend to legacy friend list" type option, could I choose to not have all my alts added to my friend's lists? Sometimes I log off one alt to play another just to end a drama conversation that I no longer wish to participate in.

So, add some kind of "Hide" feature, then? A slash command "/hide" that would bring up a list of categories of people that you don't want to be seen by while you're in-game. Yeah, I can see that working.

And a "Ignore Account/Legacy" topic has been floating around as highly popular and controversial since there is the question of griefing once you can see all an ignoree's alts. Unless it said something like "(initial Ignored name)'s Legacy, ignored"

I've seen a chat system just like this in a now-defunct game (City of Heroes) and I'm not even sure how griefing someone who's on your ignore list would be possible, really. Basically, you put someone on your global (think account-wide, not Legacy-wide since Legacy is a server-specific thing) ignore list and then you and that person could never interact again. No team invites, no whispers, no being matched on a team with Group Finder...yeah. I'm just not seeing how you can grief someone if you can't interact with them at all.

  10. Funny you should mention that, we are actually going to do that very thing! It is really important as we head into Shadow of Revan that players have seen the Forged Alliances storyline. Although we will certainly never force you through it, we want to make it so that if you haven't played through it, you have an opportunity to see the whole storyline, even by yourself if you choose!

Thank you for the announcement, Eric. And thank the Developers for putting in the effort to do this for us. Story-lovers such as myself really appreciate it. :p

Man, the more I hear about this expansion, the more excited I become.

    1. Quinn. Everyone who's taken a Warrior to the end of the class story should know why.
    2. Skadge. I'm supposed to be scared of this guy enough to take him on my ship? I don't think so.
    3. Tharan Cedrax. I'm a bleeping Jedi and you don't believe in the Force even when you see me using it right in front of you? Really? Oh, but leave Holiday here when you go. She's a sweetie.
    4. Tanno Vik. The guy's a bloody psychopath and oughta get a blaster bolt in the back of the head.
    5. Scourge. Can we replace him with Lord Praven, please?
