  1. Playing an Infiltration Shadow is a lot like playing the bagpipes: you either play them well and sound amazing, or you don't... and you sound like someone squeezing a bag of cats. There is not much middle ground with the spec. In simplified terms your rotation is not a flat rotation like other classes, but rather, a priority rotation based off of procs. Force Regen comes when you learn to execute these burst cycles of your rotation in the proper windows. These windows are provided (in part) by utilizing Force Cloak and Blackout. Learning to effectively bracket your burst cycles should take care of most of your Regen issues without having to resort to relying on alacrity (which even if you were to stack you may end up with plenty of force, but you would hit like a wet noodle). There are tons of guides out there to help you sort out a balance between Force Regen and DPS. Infiltration is one of those specs that really does require a bit of reading to pull off effectively. Also the higher level you are the better (and more clear) your Force Regen becomes as you gain more abilities to your toolbox.
  2. Should also check out the Athiss Cannon. http://www.torhead.com/item/6fFul9o/athiss-micro-pulse-autocannon
  3. I tend to view lengthy application or vetting processes by online guilds with a very long eye. I'm generally very busy and rarely have time to play the game, much less jump through hoops outside of one. However, I'm glad I took the time to go through the process with PAX gaming. The use of a communal forum thread to get to know candidates (and most importantly for candidates to get to know the guild) is actually a stroke of genius. Its as simple as answering a few fun and non-obtrusive questions every few days when you have the time. It gives you a forum outside of the game itself to get to know the PAX community and to allow them to get to know you. Very easy and very efficient. While PAX Dominus & Imperius are guilds that exists within the SW:TOR community, the guilds are part of a larger "guild" community that exists across multiple titles and genres. The cross title organization is also a stroke of genius, and the application process allows you to interact with people that may not even play SW:TOR. Interesting people you may not have otherwise had the opportunity to interact with. Might be for you, might not, but either way its pretty fun and worth a shot.
