  1. With the downgrading of Rakata Reusables I thought for sure that this profession would be getting Rakata implants to put it more in-line with the other professions. Really are less and less reasons for anyone to bother with Biochem all together.
  2. I think that altering classes should only be done in very minor incremental changes. Players tend to be very strongly attached to their characters and not so much to the world the characters exist in. Therefore unnecessarily altering classes to fit content is a very poor choice if your goal is retaining customer satisfaction.

If healers in the game are currently not being challenged enough by the content, then the content needs to be adjusted not the classes. BW could completely redesign every dungeon in the game overnight and most people would be excited to see what is new. You can make minor changes to classes and it have a drastically negative affect on the player base.

If BW believes it's more cost effective or the resources are more convenient to just make class changes over adjusting content. Then I would have to wonder if they realize that substantial class changes are the quickest way to drive their player base away from the game. In the end losing more than it would have been worth to just adjust the content.

  3. If your mouse has any extra buttons on it figure out how to set them to something else. Such as your forward and back buttons, set them to modifiers (Alt, Shift, Control<can mess with **** stick with shift and alt). Even the microsoft peripherals on my other computers have the ability to modify button usage based on the program that is running. Just have to get the intellipoint software.

If you have movement keys still bound to Q and E undbind them and Learn to use them as keybinds. First character I have ever played that required me to do this. Now I have gotten used to it and use it for everything I play. Your gaming will improve for learning to make use of those extra keybinds.

With the use of keys 1-6 Q and E coupled with the modifiers Shift and Alt you have a plethora of options. If you can bind your modifiers to your mouse not only do you have a plethora of options but they are easily accessible as well.

I also have things bound to R F C X and Z add that up with modifiers and we are looking at even more tools quickly available.

Most keybinds I have ever had to make use of and I use 90% of them actively. It is a learning curve but if you can make it work your future MMO gaming will improve for it.

    Hope that helps some. :D

  4. OK sorry.... :)

    I feel way different

Marauders are pretty good the way they are imo...just need to push a lot of buttons fast. If you don't, maybe that's where the issue lies?

If I had to complain about anything, I would say that we need to be able to kill the fat guys with the big guns a little faster or their shielding needs to be nerfed.

Maybe OP needs to run with a better group? You on Anchorhead? Run with me...you'll see!

    Long time no see Norian..

    <~~ Eviln :D

I feel like marauder is pretty ****** the way it is. It's not that uncommon for me to have the highest dmg/kills and least deaths which seems to contradict what a lot of people on here say about the class. To top it off I played Carnage 10-50 and for several levels of valor without thinking the class was as bad as the forums portray it.

Now I play Anni and it's even easier. Tho I still like the burst potential of carnage, anni is much easier and requires less timing.

This is the first character I've ever played where I've needed soo many keybinds. Think I actively use 30 keybinds. So yea theres a lot of buttons and a need to use them all given circumstance.

  5. Seriously? Every single Flashapoint is loaded with either bots or large creatures. We were farming the crap out of them and it was stupid. I could get WAY more from a single HM than hours and hours of node hunting.

Except prior to this change you would typically get ONE crafting mat from killing mobs that aren't in flashpoints.

I noticed early on with both bio and scavenging that killing for mats was pointless they offer such little reward for the effort required.

  6. ????

Of course, Exotech will be the best now. Why the hell I need to use infinite Rakata which is 16 main stat less than Exotech? What mattera in a raid: do I have infinite use Rakata stim or better performance Exotech?

Did you even look at what was in my post? Wth are you talking about... like you just quote somebody then spout random **** or something? Maybe miss quote?

  7. Forget the current progression of Rakata items. It's screwy.

Go back to the very first items you get and look at those. It looks like this:

    Med packs:

    Green: Heal

    Blue: Heal + HoT

    Purple: Heal, reusable, biochem only.

The blue one heals for the most (with the added heal over time), so the "best" is available to all. The purple is equivalent to green, but reusable and biochem only.

    Stims:

    Green: +stats/power, 60 mins

    Blue: +stats/power, 120 mins

Purple: +stats/power, 60 mins, reusable, biochem only.

The blue one lasts the longest, so the "best" is available to all. The purple is equivalent to green, but reusable and biochem only.

    Adrenals:

    Green: none

    Blue: +stat for 15 seconds

Purple: +stat for 15 seconds, reusable, biochem only.

This is where the earlier progression is slightly different. The stats are the same, and there's no green, but technically the "best" is still available to all, and the Biochem advantage is saving money.

The Energized->Exotech->Rakata progression in the current game diverges from all of these. I'm not going to wall of text it any more, but suffice it to say that Energized is the worst, and Rakata is the best, in terms of actual stats. Plus they ALL require Biochem, which leads to the "Biochem or die" mentality at the endgame.

    The patch 1.1.2 changes will:

Make Energized->Exotech->Rakata work like green->blue->purple does at lower level, with some variation on what makes the blue "best" (instead of duration, it will have more stats). Because earlier adrenal progression has only two steps (blue-purple), this also is a slight divergence. But the end result still means that the "best" consumable for everyone will be an actual consumable that doesn't require Biochem to use.

The only example in which the blue is actually "the best" in your examples is the med packs. Of which no one in this thread is actually discussing. Claiming the blue stims are better than the purple due to how long they last when the purple one has a potentially infinite use is a stretch at best. So while you keep referencing blue being "best" due to it's duration it would seem your not realizing that the purple has an infinite potential duration. This makes your statements seem unfounded and your entire take on what previous progressions are invalid.

  8.

Biochem consumables have a long progression of: 1) base item, 2) slightly improved item, 3) reusable item that is equivalent to base item. The patch changes make Energized into the base item, Exotech into the improved item, and Rakata into the reusable item that is equivalent to the base item. That's the same pattern as all of the other consumables, but the NAMES are different, which is what is confusing the heck out of everyone.

Except your wrong. The base item, the "slightly improved item", and the Rakata ALL have the SAME or better stats in the current progressions. That is the problem. In the proposed changes the end product will be less valuable than its predecessor. YOU are the only one hung up on names.

  9. I just don't get how some people think. Do you seriously no see the problem with hitting 400 in a crafting skill giving you easy access to something better than, or even on par, with something accessible elsewhere?

I can't tell if this is a serious statement. What exactly do you think crafting skills are supposed to provide? Pointless garbage?

  10. Reusable or not it'll be worse than the exotech ones (I have an exotech attack adrenal recipe in my inventory right now) and min maxers will NOT save money. They will use the exotech over the rakata, and lose all benefit to being biochem. IF and ONLY IF rakata was to be EQUAL with exotech will this nerf make ANY sense at all.

    I agree.

  11. Rakata is considered a next tier item, it SHOULD be better than exotech. +22 main stat/+13 power is not more overpowered than +58 main stat upgrade armor makers get from critting their rakata gear. But now you're giving people who have those +58 main stat rakata armors the same buffs a biochem can get? Really? You work hard for a next tier item, that item SHOULD be better not worse/same stats as one of a lower tier.

Honestly. This is not crying or forum whining it's stating the obvious.
