On the Bastion tonight, I was solo roaming the contested area on my scrapper and i keep calling out the dozen or so imps lining up with orbs to turn in. Not one pub showed up or even responded that i can recall but everyone was forming questing groups lol. I did find some solo imps and won/lost some and when that got boring went back to all those imps lining up orbs and unloaded on one. Took him down and not any response from the other imps. Did it again and got stomped by a couple imps. imo, i don't see these quests as the optimal way to introduce OWPVP. What's gonna happen when this event is over?

I just don't see how this fixes the long term open world pvp problem...if it was meant to solve it anyway. Everyone will have a grand time ganking for a couple of weeks and then no more gankees will show up and then what? If you are happy with this design, good for ya b/c I don't think BW can or is able to come up with anything more creative.

Glad you are enjoying it but I don't see how this "event" moves us, the pvp community, towards a sustainable open world pvp zone.

Is there a quest giver/hub to get things rolling?

I don't see the point of continuing my sub b/c of the overall face palming aspect of cc in this game. I would hope that as a gaming company you would understand that your subscribers enjoy controlling their characters however, I see that even if you agree with this premise, you have not introduced any substantial changes to that aspect of the game other than making it f2p. A year + into this game and a reasonable person would not be surprised to lose faith in the game devs. I would consider returning as a paid subscriber provided I see improvements in the resolve/CC part of this game, barring that, no other feature would bring me back.

I've lvl'd 3 scoundrels to 50. Healing a pugs is tough. going scrapper, pick ur fights and **** fast. It gets easier after 35 when u get more tools to work with.

Use the report function if u are on the receiving end of threats to your person. This sort of behavior seems prevalent on FPS games, just watch some COD trolling vids and you'll see what I mean. Since F2P, expect this to happen as the population is much more transient.

The only thing you can say about the number of posts is that people tend to come to forums to vent. PVP satisfaction is very subjective. I played at launch, got 2 scoundrels (dead server) and 1 sentinel to 50. i was pretty happy with the game for about the first 3 months. Call it burnout, boredom, or lack of BW trust but I've pretty much moved away from the game as well as PVP after hitting mid 60's valor rank on those toons. I find endgame pvp well...lacking in variety. However, one persons boredom is another persons Fun. I still want to see swtor be successful and I like to see more reasons to continue with pvp past 50. Maybe I've been away too long but what are the rewards/incentives that I'm missing? For me, just ranking up isn't enough. I'm not looking for uber gear rewards so I can one shot someone.. I'd love to see some meaningful horizontal progression that couldn't be simply bought with cartel coins. And I'd rather be making a smuggling run! /vent off

In the spirit of Stewart and Colbert, here's my [steams of consciousness] attempt at some swtor satire. I tried to keep it light hearted and to walk away not feeling like i just bullied some kid in a wheelchair. Let's face it, swtor is pretty easy to poke some fun at. I took a few minutes today and came up with this poor effort...even though i have been playing off and on since launch (that's a lot of material). I hear ya. My frame of reference for F2P model is LOTRO, played it for 3 yrs, and initially it was what you said. ON the good side it brought tons of new players/money to the game and was a success for LOTRO....new big expansion coming out next month. The problem is that they slowly started putting more and more edge/advantage items in the store...stuff that makes a huge difference in PvP...this is were the disillusionment creeps in....I'm no longer a lotro subber. THey also put some items that were clearly for naive buyers..ie armour that they would quickly outlevel or could get ingame for no real money.

ok, poor choice of words on my part, sorry to confuse you. What i mean by spammable autoattack is "Strike". It's not really an "autoattack" in the true sense b/c you still have to "press" the skill...but every class has a skill that: does not consume a resource, has no cool down and does damage....a basic attack skill.

Movement: I hold down both mouse clicks to run and release to stop....and have a keybound ® for "autorun". Also, the mouse scroll key can hold 3 binds. For example: Click scroll wheel: CC break scroll wheel up: interrupt scroll wheel down: spamable autoattack

RE: OPs/Scou....what i don't understand is why get rid of the audible laugh when we crit. That was one thing i didn't have to watch my bar...hear cue, instantly hit keybind...now that's gone.

This is quickly reminding me of what happened the first 3 months of Rift. Constant class tweaking/nerfing makes me shake my head and eventually just not log in anymore. Can't wait for TSW and GW2.

according to BW's numbers that came out of the guild summit, Sorc's make up 1/5 of all the characters in the game so you'll never be the only one. Conversely, in the 2 wz's i was in today, i was the only smuggler. I noticed 1 IA on the other side.

One unintended "passive" about sorcerers is that huge frackin purple lightening VISUAL that tells Everyone who to focus fire down. It's like an instant communication...visual on target, slowed, burn him down. Arguably, there's nothing similar on Rep side. I

My first run in with Imps was on Tattooine. However, keep in mind you get nothing tangible from taking out a member of the opposite faction...assuming you are higher level(>5lvls), then you are better off doing something else. On level (within 1-4 lvls), world pvp can add some excitement to both parties.

not sure if serious but perhaps try moving those skills to a different quickslot location...that would be the practical solution.

I'll take that cue anytime. Lets be honest, 1v1s are extremely rair in Ilum, usually any fight within the first exchange turns into a 1vRaid.

I've completed all the available solo quests in Corellia Now, when i click on the remaining quest givers, all i see from them is "You must complete missions before you can do that". So, any idea how to get a quest now in Corellia? thanks,
