  1. However we look at the really succesful Freimum models like LotrO and they do charge for level cap increases. EQ2 also charaged for small updates they called "Adventure Packs" which didn't even have a level cap increase.

I like LotrO's model when it comes to expansions. You buy the expansion and you get access to everything in it no matter if you are free 2 play or a subscriber. I had no trouble paying the 40 bucks for Riders of Rohan. Well technically I used turbine points that I have been receiving as a subscriber, but that is my reward for being a faithful subscriber. Even if I didn't use the points, I would have picked it up even knowing that the instances and raids would not be out on release date. I have confidence in Turbine and so far they have delivered without fail. :rak_03:

I am disappointed that we will not be able to use our cartel coins to purchase the expansion. I also get the feeling that the F2P and Preferred who buy this will not get unlimited access to the Ops / Flashpoints / Warzones pertaining to the expansion or will be able to wear the top end gear. I may or may not buy it. It all depends on what I hear when it gets released.

  2. But GW2 was supposed to be the greatest game ever. It was supposed to kill WoW and SWTOR. Everyone was going to play GW2 and nothing else.

People said the same thing about SWTOR. People like to talk. :D

You missed my point. Im seeing a ton of people on every planet not just in fleet. Also 100+ on lowbie planets is a great sign as well. Im not seeing anyone in GW2. I spent 3 hours crafting tonight in GW2 and saw 1 other person near me. When I crafted the first few weeks it was live people were tripping over each other. Also made a new alt and saw hardly anyone in newbie areas. They dont have a /who function but I saw maybe 8 people doing quests in Human starting area.

By the time I got to Hoth and Belsavis, I was lucky if I saw more than 80 people on during the peak hours. I was on Hoth a few days ago and I am currently working on Belsavis. I guess a majority of those people are quitting and leaving the game halfway through.

If a person bought a losing ticket, than they don't receive a prize. If a person bought a wining ticket, than they receive a prize. If said person who bought the winning ticket was denied a prize because they are ____ (White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, Straight or Gay) than that would be considered discrimination. Nope, I fail to realize what you wrote had to do with this situation.

I guess I can try something.

Hammerpoint Interactive promised X amount of content in The War Z. On release players received Y amount of content in game. There was a big difference between what was promised and what was given. Individuals who bought the game were unhappy and began writing and making phone calls. The individuals sought to hold Hammerpoint accountable for what they promised.

Bioware Austin promised X content, they even provided a time frame when the content would be released. Time is about up, if it hasn't already expired; and Bioware Austin has not said a word. Those interested in X content are now worried/upset, more so because Bioware Austin has not said a word. So naturally those individuals are now looking to hold Bioware Austin accountable for what they had promised.

People have contacted GLAAD and other similar groups, but people have also contacted MMORPG.com and other similar sites in regards to this issue.

From this particular perspective, its just a bunch of gamers seeking to hold a company responsible for what they have said/promised.
