Just because its optional doesnt mean its not important. This legacy name is a tool for ppl to show off or to recognize each other. Im pretty sure they will allow name change but that doesnt bother me as long as they dont allow ppl to change their legacy name. Its a nice and intelligent tool to keep ppl from doing stupid **** cause they cant change that name. This name will accompany them with all the **** they are doing on their server and in the end they will gain a reputation. If they apply for a guild or a raid for example ppl will be able to distinguish between bad and good players very soon. And exactly this shows in my opinion that its just not a cosmetic name that you can show if you want or not. Its much more than that. At least as long as there is no server transfer available. In classic wow for example ninja looting or bad behaviour was not existing because ppl knew each other and you got a bad rep pretty fast if you did ****. And this clever little tool gives us the same chance again wrapped in the form of a cosmetic feature. Im off to bed now so no more replies from me ;-)

First he wants the oppurtunity to change his name once wich is understandable since the information that you get about choosing the legacy name is rather poor atm. Okay understandable. But then he just pops up with the idea of letting ppl change it once a year. Exactly this kind of thinking will lead to a looking for raid tool and non existent server communitys. So i guess my point is clear now.

God i cant even describe how much i despise ppl like you. I really hope Bioware doesnt fall for these horrible suggestions of the com like blizzard did...

You have the OPTION to hide it if you wish to. That doesnt mean that you have to hide it. It is like i said a great way to recognize ppl from your server. I got recognized by many ppl and god i love it. It reminds me of good old wow times. And like i said they should add more information when youre able to choose this name and how important it is.Thats it. And they should ofc give lovely human beeings like you are the oppurtunity to change their "LOLCHRISTMASMEDRUNK" legacy name once until they release the further information patch. And if ppl still dont wanna show their name = fine for me if they dont wish to be recognized.

The legacy name is great way to recognize players from your server and it really really supports a good server community. So leave it as it is Bioware. Just add some more Information about how important this decision is and get a proper confirm button so that the massive amount of ******* that is already displayed in this thread doesnt choose the wrong name and cries about it afterwards. Do not add things like name change or anything. I saw how these features destroyed every social thing that i connected with my server in wow. Pls dont do this.
