  1. lol I just switched from Vengeance yesterday, which I've always played, b/c I'd read the exact opposite of your advice - not that it's wrong - tho in fact Immoral (which I find dull gameplay) seems to be the universally accepted pvp form as you just tank em to dust. But in the 15 matches I've played since switching over to Rage, so far, no discernable impact on my kills or damage rate in any appreciable way 🤷

     

    thats because people go skank tank

     

    where you spec tank but use dps gear

    in lol you need a adc in bot lane or some apc. running 2 supports in bot lanes cuz u felt to play your way will earn you a loss and possible reports.

     

    you're not gonna stack accuracy on a merc cuz u felt to play it that way lmao. meta exists cause its a strategy that's known to work, anything else is unproven and possible is not viable. i can tell you dont pvp often or you're a casual.

  3. Since the Concentrated Fire set is essentially worthless and the Apex Predator is for all intents and purposes unobtainable, what should a returning player look for in terms of a raiding set?

     

    dxun or kai to get apex

    i finished my apex set through apex, got lucky with random piece rolls and weekly offered piece by kai. i did dxun once on normal/story mode, found it to difficult.

     

    you need a competent ops to finish dxun, especially on hard mode. one time i did it, me and another merc wanted apex. but no piece dropped that raid.

  4. I know we are talking about regs were anything can be viable, but some of the responses are so wrong in this thread.

     

    Merc is the easiest healer in PvP. It may seem like the best because of how easy it is to play, but in higher end pvp merc healer is vulnerable to cleave (AOE) and LOS because of it's lack of mobility. It also has little group utility other than net.

     

    Sorc healer is actually the best healer in the game. It is much harder to play than merc, because players can't sit there facetanking damage like merc but if played right it has relatively similar HPS output with extreme mobility and the best utility.

     

    doesn't matter sorc heal more, heck even ops/scouns heal more than merc. but they all melt except mercs, they are almost impossible to kill with guards.

     

    a healer that dies quick will spend more time respawning or dying for round(if ranked) than one who has survivability. you have to be delusional if you think survivability doesn't matter on healers

  5. i dont think they changed the arsenal, its still one of the top specs if not the best one for pvp on merc/manndo.

     

    overall compared to other range classes, still good. only issue is the gear is kinda bad, apex takes way to long to get.

     

    it took me 4~5months to get my apex from the vendor kai. using the random drop + sometimes the actual piece was on sale

  6. Raansu sounds like delusional to me, what you scared about ?? afraid they'll limit group sizes so you and your bros wont be able to stomp pubs anymore :rak_grin:

     

    there's a lot of premades in this game, swtor has always had a premade problem. difference in the past was few things mitigated it. pvp gear/expertise meant pvp was gated away from casuals, this while kept pvp pops slow resulted in overall much better pubs. people would interrupt casts, hard cc targets and etc.

     

    2nd was gear itself, i used to run into cocky premade running pve gear in pvp back 13. i would stomp them mostly because pve gear was useless in pvp.

     

    imp side right now i know 2 players who premade almost all the time they play warzone, both are ops. cipher and tox i think it was, sometimes they get a pocket tank/healer in their premades.

  7. I play Arsenal with as close to 663 Alacrity as possible, needs to be greater to break the threshold.

    3.2k - 3.4k Critical and the rest into Mastery/Power

     

    With all Armor Pen Amps.

     

    Use Burning Bright for more burst damage

    Use Primed Ignition for more sustained damage

    Use Missile Blast Knockback for more trolling

     

    i just tried missile blackbast lol that thing is kinda broken, adds amazing utlity in ranked for peeling or helping teammates

  8. Ya....in ranked ladder matchmaking. WZ's in swtor are not ranked matches, and doesn't LoL have a flex queue that mixes solo and groups?

     

    Either way, swtor is an mmo. Make some damn friends and form a premade yourself. I'm sure you'll find out quickly its not the premade thats the problem when you still get steamrolled by a team of pugs.

     

    Willing to bet most "premades" you run across are not even in a group (I see this quite frequently honestly where I see in /s someone complain about premades and then I look through my team and its all solo players).

     

    ohyeh 4 people joining in a arena match at the same time with same guild names hmmm nope totally random strangers :rolleyes:

     

    no flex in league is only for premades, you'll only fight premades. solo only allows for one additional player with you, so a duo.

     

    so what it's an mmo?? being to able to pvp in a premade only shouldn't be a requirement

    its not sigh it's a fact, i doubled damage on mando(i am a avg player nothing great) compared to 280~290 irating mando on our team. it's an mmo ofc gear matters. try going into ranked with less than 306 full tricked out bisd full armor set and watch how fast you lose.

  10. Yes, attempts, and if there is not another group in the queue then it fills the match. No reason to force them to wait longer than necessary for an unranked match. Other games do the exact same thing for unranked modes.

     

    actually no other games dont let you matchmake against pub in sizes of 4 , you do this league you're waiting until there is a opposing premade on the team. list goes on

     

    swtor system is not working simple

     

    So we can both agree that team work plays a big role in winning a warzone.

    It sounds to me like grouping up and coordinating is the more intelligent option.

    yes groups should then be queued against each other that would be great.

  11. You mean all those other games that do the exact same thing and mix pugs with groups when the queue takes too long for the group players? Those games?

     

    Eric confirmed it a long time ago that the queue attempts to match groups vs groups first.

     

    yes attempts is not the same as it'll do it every time, i always run into premades in unranked arena games. other games also have severe limitations to premade groups, the mm always takes long.

     

    More accurately bad players ruin warzones when they dont know how to play objectives.

    Players that group up generally look out for each other and have to pick up the slack for the other bad players on their team.

    Again, punishing players that are smarter players because they have learned to play together as a team, isnt fair.

     

    yes premades are bad players compensating for their lack of skill :rolleyes:

    they can't win solo so they gotta premade

  12. I'm getting tired of repeating this. The game already matches premades vs other premades. Its been doing this since day 1. If you are a facing a premade with no premade on your team then there wasn't another premade to queue against. Should that group of 4 be forced to wait an hour in queue because you can't suffer 1 match against a premade who may or may not even be good?

     

    Get real.

     

    yes they should wait that long just like other games, also premades ruin the game when they are on your team as well. they make the game to easy and boring.

     

    i don't know about claim of premade being matched with each other, would need proof on your end.

  13. I don't think reverting things back to getting points for loosing is ok! This game is an mmorpg which means you must grind for something you want. Yes everybody wants do quests but smh noone wants to put in effort. i see so many Jugg/Sorc/Merc players that just go for zerg instead of playing objective. I think it's a good change that you get only points for actually winning since maybe the players think of actually play the game.

    Premades

    For the premade stuff: why would a premade be better then a random avarage group??? Everybody crys about premades ffs. For me most premades are literally only avarage players like everybody else. Even a t-h-2dps group won't automatically win games. In fact those groups tend to zerg around 80% of the time not winning ****.

    Lockout timer

    I don't know why people seriously rebel against this. Everybody wanted it. Why should someone who leaves a wz and probably destroys the queue for 7 other players not get punished (or just by 5min lockout)? I understand that it might bring in some unranked arenas but cmon who ever had a problem with arenas? they are like best thing that can happen. Especially if you cry about premades you should like arenas as 1 player can have a huge impact there.

     

     

    ofc a brainlet like you wouldn't know why premades are problematic, they are way way more coordinated often on comms. they focus any random player, kill them instantly. they also can control the flow of the game, intentionally making it longer just to farm randoms or finishing the match in mere minuets. they also have better team compositions often running tank/healer comps, some even run pocket healer comps.

     

    devs in other games know this are not blind like BioWare, so they put rather strict limitations in place for premades

  14. Thanks for that. Yeah I didn't report them and will probs avoid ranked now, at least until they fix that feature.

     

    dont worry there is a lot of *******s with egos in ranked. bunch of good for nothing who mistake themselves as good players.

     

    only time this behavior is remotely okay is if players with less than 304 rating gear play ranked, but you were clearly geared

     

    i played enough lol to deal with toxic ***** like these and how to handle them.
