  1. The only point of keeping your original lightsaber would be modability, yeah. Or RPing if you're into that stuff. Me personally, I threw away my first pair since they were fugly, you start getting other ones later, so don't worry. Also, be sure that the very first you upgrade would be the hilts as they're what increases your saber's base level as well as damage, if you're an artificer like me, you shouldn't have much problem with that.
  2. Not sure about knockback, but with stuns, I think that's part of the interrupting business as I have tried using Stasis on both Maras and Sents when they tried MS and they still went through the whole thing, but then again maybe that's just Stasis bugging out on me again, which it always does.
  3. Honestly, using it on stunnable mobs is a waste as, like a poster said above, it's overkill. You only be most likely using it on stronger mobs for DPS or something. Like you said, you're not 50 yet, and since most of what you'd be doing at 50 is pvp, this wouldn't really matter either way. I used to think it was an annoying bug before honestly, but it no longer matters now. Come 1.2 though, with Combat's MS rooting AND uninterruptible, it'll probably be much more used during pvp, with the only counter probably being our own Pacify and the Mara equivalent, not sure if there's more.
  4. Yeah I get this. I'll be honest, I've only done Karagga's at regular ONCE, so I'm no expert at this topic, but I do see people preferring range dps in general, I've been dropped once in favor of a GS. They really should make bosses more "balanced" in terms of handling melee and ranged classes, like a boss having some kind of reflect or something, or maybe popping barriers that nulls ranged for a time, or occasionally pulling classes that do ranged damage in. |This might add more strategy like making the ranged and melee classes take turns in shining since ranged guys can no longer just sit there. I don't know, just some suggestions.
  5. Wait, you use sweep as a watchman? Unless you're levelling, I don't see any point in it, honestly. Even in Ops/FPs at 50, I'd focus on the boss, I won't aoe unless needed as I might pull aggro on what I don't want. But that's me. Although I do see the plus for other trees, I am planning on switching back to combat once this comes, ans the added centering build helps greatly. Although this is a little bad for Focus specs, I think.
  6. I think anything with "Force" in the name might count, not sure though as I can never count the numbers or changes that occur depending on the skills.
  7. I forgot to add another thing about Focus, it's relies heavily on it's bombs and being a sore thumb in between them, and that's what the passive damage mitigation is for, but you're reducing that. If you thought you could supplement that with Watchman's burns, you're wrong as your burns crit less and hurt less.
  8. Yeah, I was talking about that 2.5k hit you wanted, just though you were aiming for the medal specifically. But if you want front end, raw damage, go combat, my personal favorite. But it's seriously gimped atm, but if you really want to. Run up to someone, ZS, pop Precision, then Blade Rush, follow up with Blade Storm, then Blade Rush away. Combat also has a smaller primary rotation compared to Watchman.
  9. Well like you said, we don't really shine until 40+ at which we get all our needed skills. At 29, you have just enough to have Felling Blow, adn Singularity to buff your Force Sweep bombs. So if you don't max those 2, I suggest you max it as that would be the easiest way for that 2.5k medal. Once you reach 40 and you get Force Exhaustion the amount of your bombs will double.
  10. On Focus tree, without FE, you lack another singularity builder, not to mention the one on a faster cooldown, which leaves your bombs only happening every 50 secs. Losing the passive 20% goes without saying how bad that would be. Then FR, like you said. Enduring also adds another to your damage mitigation which is always nice. I didn't bother with Stagger as the I can't feel the roots anyway, bug or latency or resist and whatnot. On Watchman, your damage is based on your burns, and you really wanna gimp that? Merciless Slash is also one of the hardest hitter around, and your bombs are already heavily gimped, so really? Recompense is also useless unless you're an expert with ripost, I don't even have it on my bar. Harder hits on cauterize don't even mean much because cauterize don't even hit THAT hard in the first place. Level 1 Juyo Mastery also means you Crit LESS so less chance for heals as well. Sentinels aren't really meant to be hybrids, hell, bioware says they never intended for hybrids to exist, and they're planning to change that. Our skills are built around rotations, sequences, and building up. With this build, you're left with mediocre damage with maybe a very slight increase in utility. You don't even have defensive forms which is one of the best skill around IMO. You're reduced to running around kicking and jumping but never killing anyone because you don't have ways to kill them, which defeats our purpose as a DPS class.
  11. As the title says, do attacks cancel out during wind up when your target runs too far? Say with Zealous Strike, it has around 4m range right? Then you try using it on someone, but it's the heat of the battle so everyone's running, but you're somehow slower. Your toon winds up ZS, he swings his arms, but brings it back down for some reason. So yeah, do attack windups cancel due to out of range? Or is this just another result of the stuttering? It's annoying not being able to start up my rotation because I can't use one of my key skills.
  12. First off, do you have Singularity yet? As you are lvl 25, you are of the minimum level to get atleast 1 in it. If not, then I doubt you'd reach 2.5k atm. But once you get Singularity, just do the skill rotation with leap, Stasis then once 4 ticks are up, pop your Sweep. Force exhaustion is your other singularity ticker but that's a ways off. Singularity can double your Sweep you see, coupled with Felling blow's insta crit is the easiest way to nab that medal.
  13. Really? I thought there were simply adding new skills? Not changing them. Well either way, I hope it comes soon.
  14. I thought of that too, but no. These guys are don't have full resolve, nor is there any reason for them to have any at times. I know becase I remember seeing someone in huttball receive the ball from that bridge right near the pit, and when I met them near the ramp and used Stasis on them to try to catch them in the fire, they kept going, no cc break or anything as my channeling kept counting. They were also at full hp so I doubt they'd had any CCs cast on them. And yes, I was pretty much alone as ppl seem more focused on killing than the ball most of the time.
  15. Watchman should do fine in pvp. But I wanna ask, do you have Doc yet? Because IIRC, lvl 33 seems a tad low for Alderaan...
